Ein Kultfilm als Musikevent: Das Münchner Gärtnerplatztheater hat den Monty-Python-Klassiker Das Leben des Brian auf die Bühne gebracht und ist dafür am Donnerstagabend frenetisch gefeiert worden: minutenlanger Applaus, Standing Ovations, große Begeisterung beim Publikum.
Das Theater brachte das Stück vom musikalischen Monty- Python-Mastermind Eric Idle und dem Komponisten John Du Prez zum allerersten Mal in einer deutschen Version auf die Bühne. Als komisches Oratorium wurde es angekündigt - und das nicht zu Unrecht.
