The Nostrand Avenue Bar and Restaurant Association has announced plans to transform a stretch of Pacific Street between Nostrand and Bedford avenues into a holiday destination on Saturday. The Winter Village on Nostrand will include live music, a clothing drive, vendors, health screenings, toys giveaways and, of course, visits with Santa. There will also be complimentary hot chocolate and donuts, according to a flyer. ....

And, in a special way, it also reminds us that we are a Church of Immigrants. In no place is this more the case than the Diocese of Brooklyn.
