A report by
Daily Nation on Sunday, February 21, indicated that the commission was targeting five high school principals from Bomet County alone.
The commission said it was widening its net to target unscrupulous school heads who continue to cook books and steal from the government.
The County Teachers Service Commission (TSC) boss Charles Nyauma indicated that the teachers would face disciplinary action for misusing the funds. The principals files have been taken to the commission for appropriate action, stated Nyauma.

The Kenya National Union of Teachers (Knut) has given the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) up to the end of the month, to start remitting teachers dues.
Speaking during the Nairobi branch elections at City Primary School yesterday, Secretary-General Wilson Sossion said the union s staff have gone for several months without salaries and some of their offices closed due to failure to get union dues from TSC.
We have many options to use to ensure our concerns are addressed and one of them is organising a strike, said Sossion.

Forget the deadly drug Stilnox or ‘mchele’ that Nairobi prostitutes use to drug men in night clubs before robbing them, there is a new more lethal kid on the block. Unlike
mchele, which just knocks you unconscious, this new addition turns you into a complete zombie.
Scopolamine is a potent drug that not only saps free will, it also kills and is now considered one of the most dangerous chemicals in the world. Nicknamed ‘Devil’s Breath’ the chemical is derived from a particular tree common to South America.
When Scopolamine enters the bloodstream, it immediately affects the brain, turning a normal human being into an auto-suggestible hypnotised subject who believes and obeys anything they hear. In Kenya, this drug is used mainly in surgical procedures and trades by the name Transdermal Scopolamine- but in the wrong hands the drug has been used to commit bizarre criminal acts.

Applications for teachers’ transfers, recruitment, and promotions will now be done online as the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) goes digital in all its communication with staff.
Communication from the TSC says that it has successfully migrated services related to recruitment and promotions of teachers to an online system and cautioned that there will be no more manual from March.
In a circular to all teachers, Commission Chief Executive Officer Nancy Macharia said all applications for transfer, promotions, and recruitment shall be accessed through the website.
