PennDOT invites the public to participate in a virtual public meeting 24/7 to provide input on solutions to its funding crisis that has prompted proposals to toll the Lenhartsville Bridge on Interstate 78 in Greenwich Township.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide ideas and feedback on alternative funding sources for an $8.1 billion shortfall on bridge and road repairs in the current fiscal year, according to PennDOT.
Public participation in the Planning Environmental linkages, or PEL study, is being conducted online to protect the public safety during the coronavirus pandemic.

Two weeks before deadline, lawmaker says it would be a miracle if Mount Rose/I-83 project wraps by then
York Dispatch
Just two weeks before the completion deadline, the contractor behind the delayed Interstate 83/Mount Rose Avenue project is seeking approval from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for several key features needed to wrap up the job.
However, PennDOT contends the final details of the project were already approved when the contract was signed six years ago.
PennDOT officials have said the project will be completed by May 11, but officials with Cherry Hill Construction said they can deliver the project in 90 days after approval for a barrier installation and paving is granted, according to a statement provided by parent-company Tutor Perini.

So far, Cherry Hill Construction has taken six years to rebuild the Interstate 83 interchange at Mount Rose Avenue. It isn t finished yet.
Back in April 2015, the prospect of having three years of construction to completely reconfigure the exit and some nearby roads seemed daunting, but it seemed worth the time and the $58.3 million price put on the project by Cherry Hill Construction to eventually eliminate the daily traffic backups at the exit.

We were able to identify an opportunity for today s clinic to offer Moderna. For appointments later in the week we re still in the process of evaluating what we can do to get those individuals in. We may need to reschedule but we ll know more as the week goes on, said Bryna Helfer, assistant county manager and director of communications for Arlington County.
