Luckily, Salisbury has many independent shops that make it an attractive place to live, work and visit. A number of new, family-run businesses even managed to open during lockdown and now that restrictions have been partially lifted, the city has come alive again.

Fast food chain marks Earth Day with adoption of science based emissions targets and promise that meat reduction will play key role in its sustainability ambitions
Burger King UK has this week promised to focus on meat reduction and expand its meat-free offerings, as it marked Earth Day with the adoption of new science based emissions targets for 2030.
FAST food giant Burger King is to create 30 jobs when it opens a new restaurant in Redditch. The new eatery will be at Ipsley Street, Trafford Retail Park and bosses will be recruiting 25 restaurant ‘crew’ members, which span both front of house and kitchen roles. Five managerial roles will also be created. Alasdair Murdoch, CEO of Burger King UK, said: “During what has been a very challenging year for many businesses, we are delighted to be creating new job and career opportunities in the area, and look forward to welcoming 30 new starters into the Burger King family, at our new Redditch restaurant.
