BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Eight University of Utah gymnasts have earned WCGA Scholastic All-America honors for their achievements during the 2020-21 academic year, the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association announced Wednesday morning.
The eight Red Rocks were a part of the record 1,059 student-athletes that recorded a 3.5 or better GPA during the school year, marking the first time the WCGA has topped 1,000 honorees. Utah gymnastics compiled a team grade point average of 3.65 for the academic year and was one of 58 teams to land at a 3.5 or better.

Posting a 49.4250 on the bars in the first rotation, Utah started the afternoon strong before making their biggest statement on the beam. Led by sophomore and solo national champion Maile O’Keefe, Utah was near perfect on the beam with an impressive 49.7000. O’Keefe’s 9.9875 was the highest score of the meet, while juniors Adrienne Randall and Cristal Isa matched sophomore Abby Paulson’s 9.9375. In total, all five of the Red Rocks’ counted scores came in no lower than 9.9000.
