OHIO Mother s Day is around the corner, and the day is already looking a lot different than it did last year.
COVID-19 shuttered many events across Ohio in 2020, but this year, several places are hosting special events or offering deals to make the day even more special.

SOMERSET It’s been five months since Marc A. Landry told the Herald News that his Fairfield Inn & Suites in Somerset would open sometime in the fall.
It turns out he beat the 2020 winter solstice which falls on Monday, Dec. 21, and marks the beginning of the winter season by five days.
“We wanted to get open this year, and we did. And we technically opened in the fall,” Landry said.
The Fall River-born principal of High Road Hospitality LLC the hotel management and development company Landry established in 2005 said his 111-room, four-story hotel opened for business this past Wednesday afternoon.
