Stourport High School staff, pastoral intervention co-ordinators Lydia Gardner and Laura Turner along with admin lead/finance officer Clare Whale delivering Christmas hampers
FESTIVE spirit has been overflowing at two Wyre Forest high schools where donations of seasonal treats and essentials have flooded in to help those in need.
Students and staff at Stourport High School have donated more than 80 food hampers to elderly and vulnerable residents and 1,200 items have gone to the Kidderminster Food Bank from the town’s Baxter College, including more than 100 donations from year eight student Rebecca Philpotts, who collected from family friends.
Both schools, which are members of the Severn Academies Educational Trust, have run the Christmas appeals for several years and trust chief executive Chris King described them as “shining examples of our values of caring, citizenship and responsibility”.
