at a red or burgundy car. in court documents the witness told police the driver of the burgundy car fired first. police recovered two dozen shell casings and fragments from the scene. our cameras were there when king turned himself into the homicide branch in northwest around 4:30 this morning. court documents say king had intent to kill, had conscious disregard and caused the death of matthew shlonsky, an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire when he got out of the taxi. the victim was shot in the chest. the bullet traveled through his lungs and heart. >> surae chinn is in the father after the sentencing. he expressed remorse for his daughter's actions. >> we are truly saddened for this day and we got to be held accountable. >> messerschmitt's widow made a private impact statement to the judge. also today the judge sentenced former baltimore ravens cheerleader seen here to 48 weekends in jail. molly shadduck pleaded guilty in june to raping a 15-year-old boy. she could have received up to 15 years. the victim was a classmate of her child and that boy's parents asked for jail time to send a message to other sexual predators. her attorney spoke to the media after sentencing. >> i think we may all find ourselves doing something that's completely out of character that we would never do and regretted it. so, you know, it's speculative what led her to engage in such an inappropriate relationship. >> the judge also ordered shadduck to pay the victim's family more than $10,000 for any counseling the victim may need now or in the future. one woman is injured and there is a heck of a mess out there after a car crashed through a building, happened this morning at unwrapped clothing on hampden lane in bethesda. the woman has serious but nonlife threatening injuries and several people had to be evaluated in the stores. first responders rushed to the montgomery county transfer station this morning after a crane operator had an emergency. this was the scene along route 355 just south of shady grove road. medics got the man down and rushed him to the hospital. we don't yet know his name or condition. after some scorching heat and serious rain it's this morning on brandywine street in southeast and d.c. police tell us it started after a fight between two people. that victim was stabbed in the side. he was conscious and breathing when he was taken to the hospital, but the attacker is still out there. a gritty plea today tffrfor the former federal officer -- guilty plea today for the former federal officer accused of making meth at a government building in gaithersburg. christopher bartley's attorney said his client was conducting an unauthorized training experiment at the national institutes of standards and technology. bartley was the only one hurt. the attorney says bartley has an honorable record including years of service in the army. the latest now from the redskins today on rg3, he got a concussion in the preseason ashley madison, the latest on the hack coming up. president obama has declared a state of emergency in washington state. federal aid will now help the local governments there and the residents deal with the fierce wildfires that are growing by the day. fast moving flames forced even more people to evacuate their homes overnight in north central washington. a dozen major fires have scorched almost 400,000 acres all across that state. hackers are continuing to make ashley madison a target. that's the website encouraging adultery, which says it has closed the loopholes that let the hackers in, but more e-mail addresses keep coming out and as mike hydek explains, we are learning more about people in our local government who may have been using the site. >> reporter: it started as a threat, but now it's real and local. cheating website ashley madison is a target again, hackers releasing even more confidential influence and if you -- information and if you live in rockville, montgomery county or fairfax and use the site, you could be part of the latest data dump. now hackers are after ceo noel bitterman. the group posted a message saying, "hey, noel, you can admit it's real now." ♪ ♪ i'm looking for someone other than my wife ♪ ♪ >> reporter: this statement came just days after hackers exposed cheating spouses around the world releasing 32 million member profiles and personal information. around 15,000 e-mail addresses seemed to come from u.s. government counties. defense secretary ash carter says the pentagon is now looking into some of the people who used military e-mails. >> of course, it's an issue because conduct is very important. we expect good conduct on the part of our people. >> reporter: ashley madison traffic dropped 40% in july after the hackers threatened to release the data unless the website shut down. ashley madison said the hackers are criminals. the hackers say they're just exposing security flaws in a site that's supposed to offer 100% discreet service. the most recent data dump proves that's hardly the case. now the local breakdown goes like this, 22 e-mail addresses from montgomery county, four from the city of rockville, eight from fairfax government and five from maryland state government. the fbi and canadian police are also investigating the toronto- based company. mike hydek, wusa9. >> all right. let's was sitting in court for three plus hours as we were waiting for the arraignment. marcus king faced the judge this afternoon charged with second degree murder accused of killing au grad matthew shlonsky. court documents say the suspect was in the street because of a gang rival. bullets were flying. he was on foot in the street. he admitted in court documents that he fired his gun, but there reporter: now the george mason university police department tells us they no longer have those blue lights with phones. they said kids don't use them anymore. they all have cell phones. so they asked who also provide escorts on campus if requested. the man who hit and struck a woman on college park has been sentenced to five years. prince george's county state's attorney angela also brook said she is pleased the defendant accepted ownership for what he did. the victim was killed in july of last year. a d.c. teachers aide pleaded not guilty to a charge of sexually abusing a student at eastern high. at the arraignment today 27- year-old carla nord requested a trial by jury. investigators say nord was found in a car having sex with the alleged 16-year-old victim. the teen's mother said the girl is a special needs student at eastern. montgomery county police say a 204-year-old man walked out of jail into a car -- 24- year-old man walked out of jail with a knife and a brick to carjack a woman. he was released from the detention center monday and about 30 minutes later he allegedly carjacked a woman near the islamic education center a few blocks away. police caught up to him wednesday driving the stolen car. the woman was not hurt. an autopsy shows the african american teenager killed by a white police officer in st. louis was shot in the back. investigators say michael balbay had a handgun. the police tells the newspaper just because the teen was shot in the back doesn't mean he was definitely running away. a task force solving internet crimes against children searched the los angeles home of kiss' gene simmons. neither simmons nor his family are suspected of doing anything wrong, but police are investigating a crime that may have occurred at the home when simmons was on tour with his band last year. a case that has investigative reporter russ ptacek smack dab in the middle of a mousy self-storage battle. >> reporter: tiatka kitt thought she'd left her belongings safe
