debate around the world. editorial pages in this morning's major newspapers are divided. >> "the new york times" says the deal reduces the chance of war. the paper calls it one of the most consequential accords in recent diplomatic history. the "washington post" says it's a complex and costly deal. it poses a major threat to the united states and its allies if iran does not keep its word. other critics in the tabloid press call it a joke. president obama tells "new york times" columnist thomas friedman the deal will keep the world safer. >> this by a wide margin is the most definitive packet by which iran will not get a nuclear weapon and we'll be able to achieve that without the full cooperation in the community and without having to engage in another war in the middle casual aagreement. no less than the speaker of the house is saying he'll do everything in his power to stop this deal. >> the deal that we have out there in my view from what i know thus far is unacceptable. >> boehner's reaction was mild compared to some of his gop colleagues who called the deal dangerous and grounded in childhood optimism. >> this is considerably short of perfection it's easily five or six feet from where i am. the state of kentucky has declared an emergency as a search continues. the storms have washed away homes and destroyed communities. days of rainfall have left people to regroup. >> pure devastation. >> reporter: the flood has turned deadly. at least six people have been reported missing. melissa blankenship reports on a man who sashd others and is now missing. at least 150 homes have been destroyed. >> i lost everything that i had, everything, everything, except for my life and my son, and i thank god i didn't do that. >> brad tried to escape to morning. >> reporter: good morning. el chap powe's cells in one of the highest securities in prison was surveilled 24 hours a day but that didn't stop he and his year from breaking out. this newly released video shows the drug pin king's escape. this tunnel was outfitted with electricity and ventilation pipes. authorities say he went to the showers tuesday night and used a 2 x 2 opening under the floor. that led to a construction site about a mile south of the missen. mexican authorities are on the hunt for el chapo, but u.s. law enforcement is equally as eager to capture him. >> the month marks three years since the attack. this morning there is newly released video of a dead le police shooting in california two years ago. police shot and killed a suspect. they ordered the video blackstone has more on how the teenager survived. >> reporter: we now know that her grandfather flew into a bank of storm clouds and when the plane emerged it was dangerously close to the mountain. it was too late. the fact she was able to survive was due in part to techniques she learned bewafbing survival reality shows on tv. shortly after posting herself online, this single engine plane flying her and her grand parents hit bad weather. autumn later described what happened to 911. >> we crashed and i was the only one who made it out. >> are you injured at all? >> i have a lot of burns on my hands and i i'm covered in bruises and scratches and stuff. >> she burned her arm trying to save her dwranld parents but it was too late. were gone. the teen worried the plane was going to explode so she decided to head down the steep mountain. she would describe her journey to deputy frank rogers. >> she said i found a creek. it was small. and as it got bigger. i thought i'm going to stay with this creek. if it's getting bigger it's got to go somewhere. >> she learned it from a tv show called "survivor man." >> she spent the night on a drybed and when it goll' got daylight she kept hiking. for her to come down and do what she said, follow that creek out, it's just amazing. >> autumn drank small amounts of water from the creek and after two days on the mountain she reached a highway where a passing driver picked her up. she was treated for dehydration and muscle breakdown. >> she needed medical care for sure sure. it's hard to say how much longer someone could have been out there. she arrived at the road. >> reporter: after a meal of chicken mcnuggets on tuesday autumn was released from the hospital. >> this girl has a strong, strong will. you know her coming out and being able to leave the hospital this quickly just goes to show that. >> the wreckage of the plain has now been spotted from the air. it's in the general area where autumn emerged from the woods. question h will actually serve time. oscar gruning was brought to court because the laws changed. individual crimes no long very to be proved. just working at daekt camp can be enough. most are unable eddie tipton was one of four people who had security clearance to the so-called drawing room. it was there he hacked into computers and added design software. prosecutors say this surveillance video shows a hooded and bearded eddie tipton buying a lottery ticket at a scenes store in 2010. he was then security director for the multi-state lottery association, making it illegal for him to play. he purchased the $16.5 million a ticket after he rigged the game in his favor. just two hours before it was to expire, they attempted to claim the money. >> not only did he purchase the tick and try to claim it. he tampered with the lottery ticket knowing what the numbers would be. >> the prosecution alegend he tampered with security cameras. examinations of the lottery's computers showed no signs of tampering. tipton's attorneys deny he was part of a scream and say it's not him in the surveillance video. >> this is a case about speculation. >> this is a very unique case in that most of the evidence that should be there is not and the prosecution's thee is because it was self-deleting. >> he says the highlights challenge what the prosecutors face. >> there's nothing linking him to the crime and all the evidence is hypercircumstantial so the defense in this case has a fairly powerful argument for reasonable doubt. >> there is one piece of digital evidence that could hurt the defense and his credibility. his cell phone records. if convicted tipton could face ten years in prison. >> he should have never made that call. >> cell phone records, did you say? >> i wasn't there. >> a 'till the broad daylight. ♪ ♪ we're gonna pop around the clock tonight. ♪ pop in new tide pods plus febreze a 4 in 1 detergent that cleans brightens and fights stains. now with 24-hour freshness. a divorced couple is battling over the future of her frozen embryos. dr. mimi lee and her ex-husband stephen findley saved embryos. she now wants to use the embryos to raise a biological child. he argues she is violating the agreement she signed at a fertility clinic and he wants those embryos destroyed. cbs news spoke with the woman's attorney. >> it's a question of whether an informed consent form gets to control. if not, whose interests are greater using the embryos. we're saying this is not a contract. it's not binding on them. when you fill out an informed consent you give direction of what you want to have happen at this time and you should be able to change it in the future. >> or should you. legal expert rikki klieman is here to discuss it. we had a big discussion in the hair and make jumup room. >> i'm not in the hair and makeup room. >> norah and i are. >> it's an emotional issue. people get very ex-ororcised about this deal. i want to talk to you a little bit about what the lawyer just said. the lawyer for the female says well it's really not a contract. it's really an informed consent form. well, not so clear. it says it is a consent and agreement form. i mean the second full word in there after the ampersand is it's an agreement. and it's abundantly clear. after the divorce, the embryos are destroyed. we have to think about the circumstances of signing the agreement. these are intelligent people. these are people who read things. they had that agreement the week before they signed it. this is not as they walked in, she signed he signed and that's the end. she's a doctor. >> but now she can't have children. she's 46 47. she's saying this is her last chance to have biological children. >> why not allow her to have the embryos. she's infertile because of the cancer treatments. why isn't she allowed? >> i think we act on the basis of society. >> they call it rule of law? and you know, charlie, because i've discussed the with you head to head before. i think without the sanctity of contract our society falls apart. and so if two intelligent people sign something -- and by the way, she's been divorced before. this is not a question where she's never thought about divorce. >> what has that got to do with having kids. >> let's assume we'd all like to see her have a child, what are the occasions in which yo can violate the sanctity of a contract in a case like this? "usa today" remembers pioneering journalist marlene sanders. >> good morning. i'm marlene sanders, cbs news new york. >> sanders died of cancer tuesday in the late 70s and 580s. she was an anchor and correspondent. in 1964 she was the first woman to anchor a prime-time network newscast. she was also the first network tv female journalist to report from the vietnam war. jeffrey fager, director of "cbs 60 minutes" was a trailblazer and ahead of her time. she'll be remembered. in the face of that she conducted hess with grace and dignity. marlene sanders was 84. >> i knew her well and she was terrific. >> yeah great trailblazer. >> and her husband was at pbs and her children. we'll miss her.
