Then the threat of thunderstorms arrive late in the afternoon into the evening. I say between 5 00 and 9 00 p. M. Is when were looking for that threat of thunderstorms. Most of the storms are going to be north of the beltway this time around instead of the to the beltway and points south like they were yesterday. 73 in leesburg and frederick right now. 74 in hagerstown and 79 in Downtown Washington. On satellite and radar, you can see that area of thunderstorms well to the north and west. Its up in the cleveland area. Thats the trigger so its north of us but it will produce some thunderstorms as we head into the Late Afternoon and early evening as i mentioned before. Their friends called the coast guard who they were expecting the man and woman boaters to arrive at their friends house at a certain time. They never showed up. So the friends concerned about the man and whip on the boat called the coast and woman on the boat called the coast guard. Charles county police and fire responded, searched along with Stafford County an eightmile area of Potomac River. They say the boat when they did find it was anchored in the middle of Potomac River off mallows bay. The boat was running. They found food and other items on the boat. However, the man and woman, the couple not there. So they searched the waters for eight miles and about two and a half hours and now have turned it over, a Recovery Mission to the u. S. Coast guard. Thats the very latest. The u. S. Coast guard now picking up this mission. No longer a search but a Recovery Mission. And thousand that we have daylight, we are expecting the u. S. Coast guard to dive into the water, have a helicopter there as well to see if they can recover the bodies unfortunately of this man and woman who were on that boat off mallows bay, reported missing by their friends at 3 00 a. The driver at fault just happens to be a civilian employee at Maryland State Police. This is what happened. Investigators tell us trooper wing tong pulled over a vehicle in the southbound shoulder of 95 last night. When trooper tongue got out of trooper tong got out of his cruiser, it was hit by another car Maureen Walker who is 65 years old. Walter that is. Shes 65 years old. Early this morning after hours of emotional and often tense debate, the South Carolina house voted to remove the Confederate Flag from the capitol grounds. It just comes down to one more signature at this point. The bill now heads to the governors desk. Don champion has the latest. Reporter with a 9420 vote, the South Carolina house made history approving a bill that will remove the Confederate Flag from capital grounds.
