the cold front comes through, winds will be picking up, probably settle at lower temperature than it is right now, 48 degrees, throughout the afternoon, with rain on and off throughout the day. and that is the new weather pattern that we have to get used to for today, tomorrow, and even over the weekends, bob kelly, a chance of rain each day. >> oh, i hope you enjoyed the lasts couple of days, it is over, 7:01, getting up, getting out. by popular row questions, another cool shot of the ben franklin bridge. from our camden side. crystal clear, looking good, the flags getting work out here this morning, too, little winnie coming over the benny. live look, 95 northbound at ridley pack accident off to the shoulder but maybe attracting little bit of brake tap headed on up to the airport. had an accident on the overnight. that happened in the lehigh valley tunnel. some of the metal conduit fell from the ceiling of the tunnel. and then caused multi-vehicle accident. so right now, all southbound lanes of that tunnel are closed between the mahoning valley and the lehigh valley interchanges, there, huge out of your way detour that's in effect at the moment. eastbound on the 30 bypass, an accident, at route 82. looking good at the airport, and so far so good on mass transit. mike and alex back over to yo you. >> apply daughter has cents no voice, she was murdered lasts week and taken from us. shot nine times on the third floor. >> we as a country fail our children. this shouldn't happen. we go to the airport, i can't get on the plane with a bottled water, but we leave it some animal could walk into a school and shoot our children. and it is just not right. >> should have been one school shooting, and we should have fixed it. and i'm pissed. because my daughter i'm not going to see again. she's not here. she's not here. she's in north lauderdale at whatever it is king david cemetery. >> my god. emotions running very high at the white house yesterday as andrew pollock, who lost his daughter meadow, in the douglas high school shooting last week, spoke about needing to do more. >> after that listening session, the white house will spend another day focused on school security. what are they going to do about this? >> this student led movement in the aftermath of last week's florida school shooting appears to be gaining a lot of momentum around the country. but some of the goals remain very he will lewes i have. doug luzader, what a day at the white house, doug, yesterday. >> yes. you know, here on capitol hill, too, saw a lot of student out here, a lot of protesters leaving school to come out and join the chorus here. on the president's schedule today is another meeting about school safety. this time meeting with state and local officials. these protesters meantime plan to keep up the pressure on the white house. and congress. >> with a number of school walk-out around the country, the movement to make schools safer and perhaps even ban some guns, is getting louder. the president trump preparing to spend another day talking school safety, following yesterday's listening session with parent, hearing first-hand stories every lost. >> should have been one school shooting and we should have fixed it. and i'm pissed. because my daughter, i'm not going to see again. >> the president talk about beefing up background checks, and introducing more security in schools. >> if you had a teacher who was a depth at firearms, they could very well end the attack very quickly. >> and big backer every second , florida senator marco rubio says he's open to raising the minimum age to buy a rifle. but even if the president were to push something like that, there would be stiff opposition for groups like the national rifle association. >> they will never support that. and if he got right behind that, he could get 60 vote probably in the senate with democrats and maybe some squishes. but you ain't get that thing through the house. >> even the looming pressure from the upcoming midterm elections cuts both ways. >> one thing we do know, just historically, is people who own guns, tend to be much more passionate, and engaged politically on the issue than people who don't own guns. it is almost a two to one difference. >> and that is an important point. i mean, as much as we pay attention to the protest, it is real a question of who shows up at the ballot box come november. and as far as where the public really stands on all of this, this is a pole released, shortly after the shooting last week in florida, just to see kind of where folks stand on some of the different ideas. row bugs backgrounds chest, broad base of support, 97%, extending but waiting period 83%, the renew newell of the as is all the weapons ban, which gun control have long south gets 67%, you know we typically see these numbers drop farther away you get from the actual event, and that is what protest remembers trying to change this time around. >> yes, that was the topic yesterday, some people saying, you know, some are saying it is too soon, but we're saying no, now is the time, because this is when people are thinking about it, this is when people care the most. let's do something before it tapers off. >> too soon. >> this has been going on since 1999 with columbine, and even before that. doug, thank you, see you again tomorrow. the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. that's the talking point. we've heard over the years. inspiring president trump, and other political leaders to openly discuss the idea of arming teachers schools. >> anybody like it? right? yes? meadow, your beautiful meadow, we talked about that. and do people feel strongly against it? anybody? anybody? strongly against it? all right, look, we can understand both sides, and certainly it is controversial. >> and i was born -- >> so president trump, you know, polling the audience there, want to get their opinion on that listing session on who would be for or against army teachers -- arming teachers. so it look like it was kind after mixed bag, half and half there. so let's ask the same question of our guest, dom giordano, thanks for coming? >> thanks. >> simple question to both every you, tomorrow, we start with you. arming teachers, good or bad idea? >> think good idea. biggest misnomer, the grief and the stuff going on there is horrific there is culinary art teach here was pleading i'm here to teach, not car a weapon. she wouldn't have to carry a weapon. it doesn't have to be teachers. it could be other security people, administrators doing there is it is a good idea because no matter what we do around this, and several things i think will pass now, around the gun issue, you're still going to have the opportunity of people believing they can come into a gun free zone. and the police can only get there in three to five minute during that period of time, a lot of carnage can happen. >> senator? >> i think frankly it is a distraction. i don't think it is a good idea. i mean, for those every house are concerned about this issue, the question for that father, mr. pollock, was how do you prevent it from happening, not what do you do when the middle of it happening or after it occurs. so reducing it from 17 to ten, doesn't mean that his child would be immune from being shot. you have a person with a gun in a building, they're on different floor, somebody decides to come in and shoot teachers and professionals it, doesn't prevent it. what do we do to prevent this carnage from happening time and time and time again across america. >> before we talk any more let's hear what the president, what his theory was on this yesterday. >> it would be it is called concealed carry. where a teach we are have a concealed gun on them, they would go for special training, and they would be there, and would you no longer have a gun free zone. gun free zone to a maniac, because they're all cowards, a gun free zone is let's go in and let's attack. because bullets aren't coming back at us. and -- >> dom, what do you think? there was an armed guard though inside the school even though 3,000 student down in florida, dom. >> right. if you're in schools as i was, mike, for 25 years, day-to-day, you realize all of the entrances, the impossibility of stopping the intruders, how big these facilities can be. you can reconfigure, do a lot of stuff. but if somebody wants to get in there they stand good chance. and if one armed person there it may not be enough to stop them as all of this goes along. the biggest thing that i had coming out of this, the arm teacher i'm if favor of it, i think this police chief last night was woeful in being unable to answer 39 times, they went to this guy's house, there is something called the baker act. i'm not sure if pennsylvania senator might know better. but we should be able to move in and seize weapons from an individual like this but there are privacy concerns that have to be over ridden here. >> senator? >> i live in a city. people talking about assault weapons. philadelphia has a problem with handguns, illegal handguns. we don't seem t be able to control them anthem getting into the hands of inapropriate people. how in god's name do we think we're going to prevent anyone who want to go into a school with a gun from doing that, unless we constrict the ability to get a gun. and the reality is that i don't think anyone in the general assembly including myself has a problem with anybody shooting and hunting and recreationally participating. the problem we have in america is that illegal guns, as well as people who shouldn't have a gun if the first place, go through all of the loopholes that we have in place. so that's the challenge we have. >> there was cents a father yesterday who kind of represented the people who were against this idea, here are his thoughts. >> and deranged sociopath on his way to commit an act of murder in a school with the outcome knowing the outcome is going to be suicide is not going to care if there is somebody there with a gun. that's player plan anyway. >> it was interesting, too, that senator rubio, who was there last night, in florida, kind of goes cents against the president's idea. he says he has kids. he doesn't want guns, teachers armed with guns, then out in colorado, there is cents a republican representative who says he does want teachers to have guns, he's a survivor by the way of columbine, back in the spring of 99. there he is right there. patrick neville. dom, what do you think? is this a possibility? didn't we come close in pennsylvania to this not long flag. >> i think we d mike, again, funding is always an issue. would rather have former military, former cop, security people there, that are armed, in addition to this, and again, it can be principal's, vice principal's, if we so celebrate teachers and administrators and other, why would we not trust them, those that volunteer and want to do this as a last line of defense? why would we not look to compromise maybe the guns not on them? maybe there is a gun safe in the principal's office? it gives the people to come -- , these deranged people are deranged. but they go to gun-free zones. they're smart enough time after time after time to target -- >> but you know what? we don't pay our teachers enough. now we want them to also be security guards? >> well, i would answer, they don't have to do it, mike. this is a voluntary sort of thing. again, it is not a one size fit all, teachers union can say our teachers don't want to do it, it is on an individual basis. some schools will have armed teachers, some will not. that's a choice. >> some say if the swat team runs in, they're going to look for somebody with a gun, that could be the teacher. >> that can be worked out by identification whoever has the weapon in the building, the type of thing that can be done, but you're going to see these deranged people. they're not stupid even though deranged there is guy targeted this place, he had a floor map, he pulled the fire alarm. and he had a pretty good expectation, he would not be met with any fire. >> senator, we can debate it all day long. are we going to have teachers with guns? >> i don't know. i think that in a election cycle, all sort every things happen. a representative in pennsylvania did not, you know, did not pass the senate, i would expect this governor would veto it if it did get to his desk sometime in the future. i would hope more rational reasonable minds would come into place. i've lived generation, my entire generation with this issue every guns around schools, in schools, around neighborhoods, and unfortunately it create mayhem. i would hope we would come up with a solution that makes more sense for more people across this country. >> the student we're seeing nationally, this is all they've ever known in their lives. >> that's right. >> scoot shoal cents. >> thank you mike very much. well, speaking of shootings, we had another one on broad street, a 23 year old woman dead, three injured, someone opens fire on a van with children inside of this van. jenny has been on this story at the round house. >> reporter: good morning, so police are investigating this, we have homicide detective on this case trying to figure out at first the motivation, and then who was behind this shooting last night around 8:30, police responded to a shooting and car crash at broad and grange street. that's in the fernrock section of the city. a van pack with three young children, and three women in their 20's, crashed into a building, after someone fired several gunshot at the van, which was headed north on broad street. at least one bullet struck and killed the 23 year old driver, no one else in the car was shot, but all suffered injuries from the accident. they were transported to einstein medical center, it is pretty incredible, that no one else in the area was seriously injured, as bullets flew, and this van lost control, on very busy block. >> after the gunshot were fired, it appears that the driver lost control and continued to drive in a northwestern direction where she crossed overall of the lanes of broad street and also crossed over both lanes of 5800 block of old york road, drove up on to the sidewalk, and crashed into a building. and that's where police found her, as well as her five passengers. >> so at this point police do not have much information about the person who is believed to have fired that weapon. all they know is that the driver may have been behind the wheel of a dark colored car that continue northbound on broad street. investigators tell us, that there are cameras in the area. they're pulling that surveillance video now. and they're interviewing witnesses, obviously, trying to make headway on this case. mike and alex. >> keep us updated, thank you, jenny. 7:15, pretty good article in the daily news today by the way, about the passing of reverend billy graham. the arm billy and philly. had a connection with quite a few pastors here in philadelphia, apparently now the funeral arrangements ready to go. >> considered america's pastor. so they are going to have a place where people can come and they can pay their respects but the actual funeral will be private. the arrangements have been announced so will lie in repose in charlotte monday and tuesday of next week in which the public allowed to pay their respects. >> thousands will turn out. i think 2,000 invitations cents have gone out for the funeral. maybe i am telling all of the information that thomas is about to tell us, thomas? >> it is okay to point out. you mention it, only 2,000 invitations will be sent out. thousands expected of course prior to that. invitations private to president trump and former president obama for a man known as alex mentioned as america's pastor. >> jesus said two roads, road that leads to destruction and judgement and the other road that leads to heff glenn through his words he reached hundreds of millions every people, many say it was his activism that transformed so many lives and reshaped how many people around the worlds viewed religion. >> his ministry, his match less voice changed the lives of millions. anand inspired our nation. >> i believe his legacy is a man of faith, that struck with the course, he finish strong, he was a person of inch telling rid. >> i pastor olsteen in the past said he was inspired by gram. so once again, billy graham died of natural causes, you'll looking at a tote by donald trump, a great special man who will be missed. >> you see the comment on twitter. >> billy graham is death dead. keep it simple. >> i saw with diane soar he, woe still get nervous speaking in front of people. >> yes. >> he spoke in front of thousands and thousands. >> almost every. >> i yes. >> woe still get nervous. well, they weren't nervous, well, probably were, the us hockey team won a gold medal last night, i'm talking about the woman's. >> canadiens against the americans. the usa women's hockey team, they beat canada to get the olympic gold. tide two-two into over time. shoot-out with the us winning three-two, and a rematch of the 2014 games when these two teams played in over time for the gold. canada won that one. america won this one. so this is the first time the usa has brought home the gold for this since 1998. >> well, the best against the best. >> and here's the best. >> congratulations cents. >> the bet best in weather, sue serio, gode medal winner. >> oh, well. >> best temperatures yesterday, right?
