It was a celebration like no other. Ive seen parties. Ive seen parades up and down the parkway. Nothing like this before. Now, we have seen parents who took their kids out of school. Brought them down on the train ride for hours in the subfreezing wind chills down here. Just to experience a little bit of history. A lot of dancing. A lot of partying because you just never know when this will happen again. Today like for you . Amazing. Like i came by myself. My cousin had to work. One of my other cos suns wasnt aning the phone. I wasnt missing it. I drop the kids off. I knew it was going to be crazy. I got a bunch of beer spilled on me. Mud everywhere. Worth every second. Worth everything. Look i said im just waiting. Today was amazing. Im 35 years old. It took 35 years for me for this to happen. How happy are you . Oh, map, im on cloud nine. It was easy walk. 20 minutes. It was great. Well, we tried to go to the patco but tickets sold out yesterday. So we decided the only way in was to walk the ben franklin. So we got here at 5 00 a. M. We walk the ben franklin and now were walking back. Reporter now that young woman was walking with her friend. Her friend was a civil engineer. She thought the opportunity to actually walk that great span the ben franklin bridge that construction back in 1919 was really a treat for her. Patco and new Jersey Transit are obviously laboring under heavy traffic this afternoon and into the evening. And then sunday looks to be a washout. Rain could linger into early next week as well.
