way it reflects but all of city hall, and nick foles beaming face as he looked up, over his hands. so we will go the minute that press conference starts. that was a cool moment right there. real quickly here speaking of that moment, yesterday's newspaper at last the philadelphia inquirer so i ran over to the frame shop over there on chestnut street and had it frames. look at that. >> i think people all over will be doing. that my dad was sitting at home and saying about the papers and he took it off our lawn and stashed it away so no one would steel it, protect it >> so, we are going to try to put together a segment for tomorrow because these things can get pricey, i should have opened a frame store but there has got to be ways to laminate it, put it on cork, put a segment together. >> pin this. >> pin this. >> pin this you can do it at home. >> paying all of the money. >> if you liked that one i will tell you where i went neighborhood folks here 221 chestnut street it is vision graphics, vision graphics. >> yeah. >> fun segment for tomorrow. >> all right, where is jen.al ws she now. >> on the r >> it is vince lombardi trophy , it still doesn't feel. guess who won? we did. that is what i'm telling my day. so jen do you think you can make it down parkway to the got one hour >> they have told me, is your prize at the end.h, wait, , wait, wai and he prayed, prayed, and always had faith that the eagles was the se god, thank you. >> they got it. >> i i chased you from all over. he told me where to find. thank you. >> thank you. i love you. >> thank you god. >> wonderful. >> and pour out blessings, yes >> could the photographer stop fight willing with each other, it would be nice. thanks all being here. but like so many philadelphians who follow eagles for much of our lives i offer my konstantinov great eulogieses for the entire organization this championship was hard for the, well deserved and for millions of fans, this was the game, thus the season and team we have always dreamed of, and i was please todd see the great majority, please todd see the great majority of the fans celebrated, respectfully, andand women of the philadelphia police force foreignure largely without incident and only three arrests. of course we're her will likelya bigger celebration. i'm proud tl honor 2018 super bowl champion philadelphia eagles with a paebruary 8th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.tr etch from broad and pattison to the philadelphia art museum and will conclude with tpeeches on e museum steps. in a moment i wint introduce ceo, p smolenski who will talk about the eagles plan for this great parade. then we will heahia native and found are of the creative group, which has over 2500 majol events around the world. after fred we will hear from jeff caneple, commissioner ross and emergency management director dan bradley. they have detailed fur to give out. we know you all have a lot of questions but we ask you hold them until the end. i necessity this parade will be a celebration, as first class as the entire season has been from the team and for its fans. we do anticipate tremendous crowds, potentially topping the number that 2008 phillies world series parade. the best way to honor this great team and its accomplishment is to make it a great parade and that means healing others, being patient with the crowds and most of all celebrating with passion and pride. the entire nation will be watching our entire super bowl celebration, lets show them what philly pride is all about i was very happy i made decision not to go to minnesota to watch the game. i was able to sit on my couch at home and watch every single play and every single replay and in the past when we were in tight games like this there was always feeling that something bad would happen, someone would throw a interception or drop the ball and fumble, or they would bust a big play. with every succeeding play i saw nick foles and rest of that team justin to plow through and plow through and plow through and it was a turning, point in my experience with this team and this organization that the team actually knew they could do it. and when that happened at the end, i was in the on the couch anymore i was jumping up and down my living room and i want to thank them for all of the joy they brought to us over the years. there has been a lot of heartache but a lot of joy. i was listening to talk radio last night on the way to do an interview with hardball with christmas yous another philadelphia native and guy on the phone said so many generations of people have passed on hoping to have a super bowl, that they were all somehow in heaven in a big tailgate urging this team on to victory and i think that is really what happened. i talk to luke latourneau whose brother matt passed away , a fire fighter in a fire related injury on duty death and he said he knew his brother was pulling for the team and that is one of the reasons they were successful. all of us collectively those who were born in philadelphia, raised in philadelphia and suffered and celebrated over the years nothing matched what we saw on sunday. so, congratulations to the eagles, and thanks, don for everything. >> good morning, everybody. for the past several weeks we have sort of been wrapped in our own cacoon as we prepared for the game this past sunday so this is really the first, my first full day back in philadelphia and sort of coming out of that cacoon. one of the amazing experience that we were just a part of but one of the things being in that cacoon i missed all of the enthusiasm that was happening back here in our great city. so, with this parade on thursday it is really an opportunity for us, our organization, our players, staff to really sort of take in that enthusiasm, say thank you to the millions of fans as the mayor have allude todd who have rooted for this team through the years, through the tough years and through almost , and to who came with us in 2004 down to jacksonville when we came so close and hoff been with us every stretch of the way. as mayor said in many regards, it is extremely over whelming, it hasn't really hit in as to what we have accomplished, my text, my cell phone was blowing up with cell phones text messages and store that is they tell and what it meant , whether they were there with their son, daughter or hoffer they were on their watched for years. we had 99baer with us as someone who served in world war two who saw champi. i walk into exercise this and guy stopped mid swim and stopped in his lane to sta thank you, and the parade is a chance to sayph tha for everyth. the sports teams phillies, the e union brotherly love and comradery that exists for this great and with the cities and everything that they have provided us terms of the support. we're thrilled that the down brt end certainly in the venue to sd with the draft back in april with 250,000 people on the to culminate 2017 season with a super bowl same parkway is incredible. it is a showcase for our philada world class city, it is and world class pth that i know thae mayor, police commissioner septt like our team has rallied together as aff what will be a parade that should be just a to celebrate, t smile and enjoy the moment we will turn it over to them to talk about the specics look ford sharing the prize with everyone. thanks on behalf of jeffery lu rie and our entire organization, thank you very much for your support. >> good morning, everyone. i'm going to provide some details, although i was told that bill belichick was originally to provide the details of the parade, but, you know, i'm here. just to go through some of the logistics of this, you should all know this is a celebration , that is what we're calling it, it is not merely a parade. there are two parts to this the parade is part one, the ceremony is part two. so, at 10:45 a.m. on thursday morning we will leave lincoln financial field in the parade which is entirely met orized, we will begin parade 11:00 a.m. at broad and pattison, we will head north. we will head northbound down the center, except of course for the median strip. we will give people nice and slow to give people the opportunity to see everyone and it will be open air so people will are not in closed vehicles thatigficant. as we pass by south philadelphia, come into center city, just so you know there are three press platforms that will be set up one on the south portal of city hall so as it is coming north goes past chestnut street comes up to city hall, the parade will turn left and go west around south pen square, yes, it is wrong way but we understand traffic will be detowered. all of the lights will be green for summaries on. as we turn on to penn square we will loop around to 15th street we will get north on 15th street and just so you know the entire route will be barricaded, of course, so all of our fans, spectators will be on the zoo sidewalks hanging out windows of office buildings we suspect and will continue along. just a couple surprises along the way, along the parade route. it will be very visual the entire step along the way. as we pass by city hall, which will be on the right-hand side we will come up to jfk boulevard, we will make a left we will go west on jfk and right at corner there of jfk plaza aka love park will be a second press platt form. the parade will pass by there. that press platform will offer great shot of city hall and william penn in the platform. as we make a right and go north on 16th street and come up to the parkway we will turn left on the parkway. we stay on the westbound lanes the left lane so we are going all essentially down the center of the parkway barricade will be along both side of this motorcade but we are going to offer maximum number of viewing opportunities for everyone. barricades will be up well in advance, they will be up early that morning so as people start coming and we will get to how they will get to how they will get there in a second as they start arriving they will gather, everyone will have a great close-up view of not just the parade but of what happens late. just very simply the parade, met or cade passes way up, goes around logan circle and the proper way goes up the parkway goes around eakins oval and ends right at kelly drive at the art new seem our guest will get out. there are many people in the parade, some of whom will be seated, because of the stage itself and many of you may have noticed the stage is going up and it is sitting there right now. the stage is on the second level of the art new seem. there will be some seating down below and then the vast majority will be our public invited, all of these i would say 90 percent of the availability is really pretty close-up. it stretches back. we know we can fit 3 million people on the parkway. so aloft people will arrive early to get the best vantage point. they don't necessarily to have worry, we right now have 14 jumbo trons, that will stretch from eakins oval down to city hall, okay. >> there is a sound system that is set up over next two days to make sure everyone not only sees what is going on but hear is it. our broadcast partners nbc 10 and nbc sports they will broadcast from 10:30 a.m. to the close of the ceremony. all of the local broadcast tv stations are pooling their camera feed so we will have vantage points of at least 12 different locations along parade route to on the parkway , okay. we finish up, up there approximately 12:12 p.m. with the parade and then we prepare for the ceremony. the ceremony will begin at 1:00pm. where will it be? on the steps of the art museum details for that parade, for that ceremony will come at 1:00 p.m. on thursday, okay. it will be dramatic. it will be wonderful. it will be fantastic and for many of you, you should know everyone has been preparing for this for about four deck cade. the final details and yeah going in to five decade but the final details have been work on over the last few days and it will be dramatic. the most important thing is right now how people are going to get to the entire parade route and how they are getting to the parkway for this ceremony. i would like to turn it over to board chair of septa who happens to be here, he took the broad street subway to get here and that is pat dion. pat. >> thanks, everybody. congratulate the super bowl champion philadelphia eagles. >> wow. >> you know, every game, every time the septa bleeds green, the stadium and trains, we are the preferred method. saying that coming up there will be a really wild, celebration in philadelphia our goal to transport as many people to the parade as safely as possible. immediately following this press conference our general manager will be going through, all of the various details of the day and how we will handle , the transportation need for the region. we will be maximizing all of our routes, and, personnel, and, and, and, and, and, and, and broad street line, blue cross, blue shield. i think donna ferrell is here. thank you. thank you to everybody. would i like to thank blue cross for helping us. i think the day will be magnificent day for city of philadelphia would i like to thank eagles for winning. it was a great day for us. great day for the city and bring up police commissioner ross to give you details, thank you. >> all right, good morning, everyone so i'm standing here with one of my collogues who need no introduction fire commissioner and chief inspector mel sickle ton who will play a instrumental role in the planning. obviously like everyone we celebrate eagles, my classmate don smolenski from leadership philadelphia who i have known for a number of years. clearly we will have a very strong police presence and emergency medical services, fire commissioner will be alongside us assisting us. as was already stated, a lot of barricade you'll see police officers much like most parade that we have, they will be on the inner perimeter of those barricade which will assist to help with crowd control. there will be a lot of happy people out there. but we will have some extensive man pur out there and a lot of different forms, home land security will be on for outreach to different businesses, particularly those with liquor licenses to assist us, during that day just simple things like use of plastic cups, even little things that people don't think about. just another outreach long the parade route will help us immensely. we will have officers and preventive patrol assignments in uniform and out so we will be able to detect anything that seems like it is out of order. we will have people all over on foot and in vehicles and in the air, they will be on bikes , horse back, they will be all throughout the general parade route. in addition to which ppd and city is working very closely with septa, amtrak, mass transit in the area to serve the citizens and ensure their safe passage to and from the parade. i already mentioned home land security, aviation traffic will be there contributing to the specific area of expertise , ppd will be working in close cooperation with the fire department state and federal partners and that is something we do in all large scale events and we will do it pretty well. finally we're working with oem and hear from dan in a minute but we have added some little things. it happens every time and sometimes it is innocent enough but keep a close watch on your children. you are talking about large scale events like this it can be difficult. we have plans for locating them and getting them back to you safely but to the degree you can keep your hands on them that helps us immensely. also, please leave no bags unattended. we spent a lot of resources when we find unintended bags because of the world we live in today so to the degree you have a bag with you, please do not put it down and walk away, someone will do what we ask which is do see something, say something and people have done a wonderful job doing that but if we can avoid that, that will be helpful. you may have some questions later but for now i will turn it over to dan and he has some information for you. >> thanks, commissioner. we are beyond excited, to host this celebration/event. would i like to walk through a couple things first and foremost to headache make sure you have most up to date information the city is using a custom key to enroll for free text alerts about the parade. to sign up for free you text ready eagles, one word, you will have to fight auto correct on your phone. it will be a word after today and text that to triple eight triple seven and that will allow everyone attending the event to share information about mass transit, parade details, weather, detours, and anything else that can happen. that is our way of reaching you on game day. city has worked very closely with our telecommunication partners, you have seen equipment throughout the city, as to increase our cell phone service because we know, for an event of this size everyone will want to live stream and take photos, so it is work we have done in the background continue on crease cell band but even with that it is important for those attending as commissioner said to have a plan if you get separated from your group or your family about where you will meet. there are location signs along the parkway but just choose a land mark. i encourage everyone attending part raid to dress warmly and in layers with comfortable shoes. antis pace walking long distances as well as anticipate something delays with mass transit leaving the we will hear much more at 10:30 from septa's press conference but do expect give the volume of people some delay on regional transit at getting out. i would also like to echo the commissioner's statement about calling 911 for suspicious activity. all of the public and public safety if something looks out of place please call 911. with that i look forward to seeing you all at our celebration on thursday. thank you. unaudible. >> probably best of on those answers, and then present it and 11. >> no. >> unaudible. >> the small numbertay home. every city that has gone through this had this celebration there is always some element of people this. there were tens of thousands office people on the street. cot was extremely focuses obviouslye negati dozen. no one is interested in the positive. i necessity working hard to identify those particular individual and arrest, with that i believe somebody may be even turning themselves in as being turned o. i think in the scale of thing itte and it is regrettable. i don't think it rose to the level serious concern and i think what happens is with sometimes the media want to perpetuate the myth to literallf eagles game, i have seen some stuff at i tt is -- when eagles fans travel to othern't an easy place to be in, there is other square garden is not an easy place to watch a flyers game. it is i wish it wouldn't happen. i wish people will think but our officer c and will deal witt, and we juste >> i don't know about the portable poddy thing i in that . but what i would tell people is do not bring you, they will e taken from you but water and ha. >> right are 850 portable johns out there scattered throughout on both nof the park way and some along broad street at various intersections. food certainly along broad street everybody will opened, however philadelphia, food truck association, we have both at north and south side of the parkway, . >> unaudible. is this in fact ground zero at l super bowl plans. and i and a fr people sort of got together the week before, maybe two at, t happens if this were to any dife visit of the pope because there was nothingican came to visit, officially but there was six mons if you can imagine the managing director on all this and looking at what is going on along with police public property, l and i, fire, it goes on on. so we were basically ready but . it was just a lot of good conversation, leading up to sunday night, when an e-mail went out at 10:30. >> unaudible. of these people are helping us with their own shows you how idt is. mayo at least one gentlemen supposed to turn himself in today. we are to try to identify some of the others and as far as i'm co criminal criminal acts so we will post their photos if wean id just lie we will in any other crime. we will do that until we exhaust all means necessary, particularly those hoff commte windows and things like that. this was as you might imagine for those aerial views this was a crowd like we have never seen anyway. it orphed by leaps and bounds there were crowds fr street and literally there were times when i was out there walking telling people , walking from here to that door could take me two to three m instances whee police officers saw things but could not get to time. i just want to stress these men and women were out there circumstances, commissioner tiehl's people came out to help us, as department is always been there for us in emergency management as a team this is why we have as rs it is, it could have been far worse. look in their own thing and then lost. in the grand s just, i'm in no s trying to justify it but i'm just being honest. >> reporter: unaudible. >> i don't know right now but i would say no less than 10. it may be more than that. i'm in the sureut the right path, by in this short order, having have to, turn themselve and, look, the lmi parade is very different demographics are very people. different folks out there. out there that nate was their 2m were describing most who still did issues but it is a different event. but again, all of collaborated,d together they did a lot moree not getting credit for to be honest with you. i'm telling move in that crowd was virtually impossible. justre details, i have a lot butter are our bike patrol and they were virtually n- entity which regard to moving around. once they got in the locationesy did but trying to getyou injure. we saw crowds, i don't know what the we are saying tens of thousands but if someone told me there eess os thousand i would not doubt it. >> reporter: unaudible. >> barricas, opened street called broad street. right up the middle we can quic. good question but it will make all of the difference in is a p. >> reporter: unaudible. >> well, you just got to secure items. with anytime for men o grded abr wallets but these are reasons we the crowd. we will be able to look at thngs like that and d what. somebody else had a question. >> that is in the for me that m. >> now we have a means to do that but i mean that islse in t. >> they are very good with dealing with that. cell fence down but city has done a great job with that. you can imagi visit, dnc, a lot of cell phones,ut on that. >> you had flyers, b the bigges, are there other secure. >> we work very closely with septa and typically with pennsylvania state police, the good thing about this event it is barricaded. there will be an area to traverse up broad street, original question how will we get around. that is how we will get around and a lot of instances we will also be right in some of those crowds which is different, so, we will have enough people out there, that is bottom line. >> unaudible. >> well, it is nice to be a winner, after not being a winner for so long. it is nice that this particular team made us a winner because of their stor ied history in the city and getting there twice and coming close once. i don't understand sports psychology or why people feel the way they feel about their teams winning but it does work it puts things on a upward trajectory. i think it is terrific. as far as parade is concerned you have to understand the crowd that was out there sunday night and partying from afternoon through 10:30 or 11:00 what you will have thing starts at 10:45. i doubt even the most hearty drt much at 10:45 and it will be over by two so, i think it is a different 10or, a element, more families, again as police commissioner said. there were a somethings out there hooping it up but i think you'll have a differe on that parade route. >> reporter: unaudible. some can correct me it had to do with the disbursement of thell cies was that everybody was at sports complex when it was over, everybodyay they could not function, people could not get on the platforms. what we ar this large crowd ending at this point will be able to and west even if they have to walk for a period of flooding tm at broad and pattison. >> last question. >> reporter: unaudible. >> they should find a way to get in on public transit. what is going to happen potentially is traffic might be so bad they will get stuck in traffic and never see anything. what would i do if i were living in the suburbs and find a way to get in, on mass transit and get out on mass transit. it is a long day. people need to be patient. systems can only handle so many people. there will be more people then it normally handles. patients and putting some steps on your cell phones getting healthy and walking a distance will probably be better for you then, driving in. >> thanks, thank you. >> unaudible. >> they are breaking up. we have a lot of good information there. and, of course, we will co late all that information and bring it to you later this afternoon. here's the thing i don't know if you were looking at lower third graphic as mayor was speaking there is something that jumped out at me and you should know about it too, we start our parade coverage at 4:00 o'clock in the morning, "good day philadelphia", and we will not go off the air until this whole thing is over it might be 6:30. it might be 7:30f we have to go through 10 or 11:00 we will and that is because we are fox now who stayed on after the super bowl victory? what tv station stayed on, programming to sell a crock pot or something. these other stations i don't get it. that one station had the super bowl and they went away from you, the fans. these must be out of towners running these tv stations. >> fun to celebrate. we were on. so much fun seeing everybody out, and, partying on broad street, and for the most part it was a good time. >> why would you cutaway, we're not going to cutaway, you wait 58 years, and why would you a interrupt that. >> what will they do. i hope they bring out sylvester stay loan. >> they come to the super bowl , maybe thinks an up great , and. and
