preview the where the super bowl will be played tomorrow night. how about this mojo for the eagles. brian dawkins selected for the hall of fame earlier tonight. yes, weapon x is now a hall of famer. he spent 13 seasons in philadelphia. he holds so many records for this franchise. he really was the heart of the city for so long. still is. and says that winning to night is for the city of philadelphia. >> a lot of it had to do with the way that you came to the game, the way you represented, the way you showed me who you are. your heart is huge. your heart is big. you have your emotions them. >> my husband got them this past tuesday. he didn't want to get them the day after the super bowl because they were too much money they came down by $2,000 each. >> reporter: how cool is to be down the jersey shore. at cape may, new jersey. >> it's cold and that is not going to change overnight. meteorologist mike masco joining us with a first check of your forecast. mike, we got snow and rain on the way for super bowl sunday. >> we'll throw a little ice into the mix, guys. good evening, yeah, a whole complex storm headed towards the east. you can see snow breaking out across chicago, rain across the gulf coast. these are actual toll separate storm systems that will come at us, combined into one and bring a really nasty day as we get into tomorrow. there's actually some snow breaking out across west virginia and virginia this will move north. i wouldn't be shocked as early as 6:00, 7:00 o'clock in the morning seeing snow showers across the region. but you can see the real heart of this storm coming in 10:00 o'clock in the morning tomorrow morning. i think it's rain from philly south and east but as you get north and west right along 76, i78, up to i80 this is an area where we are concerned with it mixing with sleet, freezing rain and even some snow and then watch how the heavy rain comes in around 2:00 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, through five, 6:00 o'clock and then everything wraps up as we get into tomorrow late evening. now, here is fox future cast. this is actually our ice modeling showing north and west of philadelphia. so as you get into allentown, pottstown, reading, to coatesville these are the areas that we are very concerned with ice secretion and also for the potential of some snow accumulation. we'll talk more about that and up and down feeling. comradery. i mean i left the church, come back up here, just to be in the crowd to be a part of it. >> and that is great to see. the providence animal shelter brought along some dogs to be in the parade. hoping they might get adopted. mayor bob mcmahon says that the parade would be nothing without a couple of underdogs. >> i love it. the community college of philadelphia hosting the historic african-american children's book fair today to promote the power and joy of reading. this makes 26 years for the book fair. thousands of people attending authors and illustrators on hand to make presentations and sign books. there was also a wide selection of a of affordable literature people could buy. >> the most exciting thing about this event if you look around these are people this is going to be really a three-part storm where it's rain, sleet and even snow across the region. live shot in old city. it's 29 degrees south breeze coming in at 12. that south wind will keep us a little bit milder in comparison to yesterday. last night where we had temperatures that were down into the teens and low 20s. now northwestern suburb this is the hot spot to see sleet, freezing rain and even a snow accumulation where it's 27 in bethlehem, 28 in plymouth meeting near 30 degrees here in philadelphia and 20s as you get into new jersey. two-part storm system, one storm up towards chicago but it's really this low across the gulf coast states that will track north. it's going to bring a lot of moisture up from the south to the north and will collide with theair that's on top of us. fox future cast showing us at 10:00 o'clock tomorrow morning where it's rain, snow mixture here in philadelphia but north and west as you get outside of town like pottstown, allentown, reading, these are areas that may see a quick and of snow before it starts to transition over to sleet. it's still snow into the poconos around 1:00 o'clock. plane rain from philadelphia south and east and then everybody gets a soaking rain that comes in five, 6:00 o'clock lasting until at least 11:00 o'clock tomorrow night and then the system clears out. so it's really all rain from philly points south and east but we go up towards the lehigh valley this is where it will be a sleet, freezing rain deal. one to perhaps 2-inches of snow. highest totals from this storm will be up towards the poconos and jim thorpe right along i80 where it could be two to 4-inches of snow by tomorrow evening. so for tonight, 27 degrees. increasing clouds. not as cold tonight. now super bowl sunday plans. this is how it breaks down 42 degrees at kick off. half time temperature at 40. the rain will come down in buckets and by fourth quarter 3g temperatures if you're traveling in the lehigh valley and poconos tomorrow evening and tomorrow night coming home from whatever, wherever you're going to be, whatever festivities you'll be partaking you might have to encounter unfortunately some icy roadways. so 43 tomorrow. 35 degrees on monday with a breezy day. nice on tuesday and then more rains in the forecast for wednesday with a temperature around 47 degrees. we'll probably see more rain as we get into saturday as well. but again icy conditions up towards the lehigh valley. that is of concern. scott williams will be back with update to that and an important forecast up towards the lehigh valley. poconos and ski country probably make out with two to perhaps 4-inches of snow. so be very careful again if you're traveling tomorrow. >> i can't believe it will be pouring during the super bowl. >>
