river than road and across the river in trenton, the ice in the delaware has pushed the water up there causing still more headaches. the delaware river looks more like a glacier tonight as it flows past new jersey's capital city. 75-year-old arthur hill has come to trenton's calhoun street bridge to marvel at winter's handy work. >> i just want to capture the ice as opposed to what i caught this summer with sun sets and send it to my daughter whose down off the gulf of mexico. >> reporter: but what is scenic to some a problem to others new jersey dot workers were fighting early monday afternoon to open the drains along a closed section of route 29 feeding the capital complex. the icy overflow from the delaware moved in at 4:00 this morning they say. >> there's a big clog of ice and snow here. >> all the bridges, the ice at the bridges that back up. >> reporter: across the delaware in morrisville, pennsylvania, river road is perfectly named. the delaware river has taken hold in places closing the road, drawing the curious and concer concerned like ed fail len. >> i think there's going to be some flooding and it probably going get considerably worse as the day goes on. and i think this and tire area here it's almost -- it's above the road and it's going get pretty bad pretty quick. >> no homes appear threatened as of yet. in bensalem's neshaminy park, there's open water on the delaware. the white of the ice flows can be spotted on the new jersey side of the river where concern seems to be rising about the days ahead. >> it looks like it's going to get much much where the video says it all. check it out. a tractor trailer slams into a house. police say the trucker lost control after a crash involving two other cars on lincoln road. paramedics raced to the scene. more information when we get it. short timing a sky fox was over some kind of police investigation in montgomery county. bridgeport police have an entire bridge on the 900 block of east dekalb pike blocked off. early reports came in calling for help because someone got stabbed. now an emergency crew is on the scene. so far though no one has been taken to the hospital. ♪ celebrations in the nation's capital honoring the late civil rights leader dr. martin luther king, jr. and also a call to action on this day many gathered in washington, d.c. for a wreath laying ceremony at the mlk memorial. members of the trump administration including the interior secretary and fbi director were there. they join the reverend king's oldest sore martin luther king iii who called for more to be philadelphia martin luther king day of service. >> i'm here to help people out that's what i do the. >> reporter: then he ran into people there to help him out. >> some people they stay at home but there's opportunities out here that people don't really go after. >> we're talking about the restaurant industry. we're talking about the text mychal field. we're talking about almost every area that you can think of in the philadelphia area. the helping of volunteers stretched around and well beyond the philadelphia area. >> it's great. you're helping people around the world that, you know, that need food. >> makes you feel good. >> yes. it does. >> reporter: leading with a sense of accomplishment when some young volunteers came feeling what can they real dollar to help? >> we're doing our best we can and this is -- this part of it. you got to -- you go the to start working in the smallest way possible. >> reporter: getting involved to help improve human conditio conditions. service and sacrifice. some of dr. king's teachings, firefighter john scrugs once his little cameron to learn early and practice often. >> every day. every day. he stood for something. i want him to know his family know his goals and dreams are not lost and that's important as a community. that's important for my daught daughter. so she can live that. >> i learned that you have to work hard for what you constitution center one of hundreds of volunteers taking time to organize kits with book and school supplies. volunteers also wrote messages to include for the children who will receive them. deal for deferred action of undo you meaned young people. democrats want to make daca a part of the upcoming federal budget with a deadline friday. some republicans say they'd rather tackle until lawmakers can come to an agreement. president trump sweet tweeted about senator durbin this last noon blaming him for the daca situation because of a quote lack of trust. philadelphia jurors have acquitted a man of all charges in a strange case they found 57-year-old kenneth fenn see to the guilty accused of assaulting a boy at a furry part back in 2009 at those parties all members were dressed up in animal customs. his attorney says the charges were attempt to profit off his client's wealth. meanwhile, three other men and a woman are a way iting trial in that case another man plead guilty to child sex trafficking. atlantic county jury has convicted atlantic city man of endangering a child bisexual conduct. prosecutors say that 59-year-old david, would repeated touch the back side ten-year-old girl and walk in on her in the shower. he did this over a period of self years. upon the conviction the judge revoke his bail he's now facing up to ten years in prison. this dover police officer keith boris facing charges for driving drunk with his young child in the car. police were called to the parking lot of mc glynn's on north dupont highway for hit-and-run last thursday. they learn the car involved belonged to boris. he was found passed out in his car several hours later near transportation circle in south bay road. thankfully that child was unha unharm. we've got update for you now about two bodies found in inside a bucks county home. middleton township police say they found a 57-year-old woman and a 66-year-old man dead in their home in langhorne saturday night. they say both had medical issues that may have been contributing factors to to their deaths. a blood test revealed no drugs in their system. police are still waiting for toxicology reports. all took a couple of hours but firefighters were able to get it under control. thankfully nobody was hurt and investigators are still trying to find out how that fire started. ♪ you already know think but coming up just a few minutes. successful mission to free a hump back whale near the hawaiian island of moui. releasing this video of crews trying to remove some fishing line that was wrapped around the whale on friday. fishing vessel saw the whale and contacted authorities and crews removed more than 280 feet of line that the whale was trailing. officials say that whale has an excellent chance of survival and investigators are now trying to find out where that line came from. let's get back to your fox 29 weather authority now. it's cold out there as we take live look at wilmington all traces of last week's winter warmup gone. if the cold isn't enough scott is tracking snow in the foreca forecast. how much are we going get? the answer in 15 seconds. yes, that's right. more snow is headed in our direction. right now as we look at ultimate doppler, we're dry and quiet. but off to the west, this is the clipper. it's a slow mover. so by this time tomorrow, many of us still won't be looking at any of the snow. so here's the timing. during the day tomorrow, most of the snow far north and west mainly for the poconos into sections of the lehigh valley and then tomorrow evening and overnight early through wednesday about midday we're locking at that light snow around philadelphia points south and east. then how much snow do i expect for philadelphia? about a couple of inches. higher elevations north and west. could see anywhere from three to as much as about 5-inches of snow. but as we go hour by hour look at the clock. 2:00 p.m. tomorrow afternoon. most of us just cloudy and chilly. we're looking at that snow north and west. then what about 6:00 o'clock? you can see most of it stays well to the north and west of us throughout much of the day tomorrow. there might be some flurries or some flakes that try and approach the i-95 corridor but once again most of that snow will hold off until overnight tuesday into wednesday morning so the highest impact as far as the commute times go will be for wednesday morning. so that's the bottom line with that system as we look at the arrival times of that snow tuesday morning far north and west in the poconos. by the afternoon, sections of lancaster county, berks county into the lehigh valley made maybe some flakes moving into upper montgomery and bucks county. then late tomorrow night and into the overnight that's when it arrives i-95 south and east. how much snow may be one to 2-inches the i-95 corridor. coat to go about a half an inch as you move into south jersey and once again three to 5-inches once you move toward say berks county the lehigh valley and also into sections of the poconos mountains much look at the temperatures it's. 32 freezing wilmington. 32 degrees freezing in atlantic city. the high in philly today made it up to 34 degrees. temperatures tonight bottom out in the mid to upper 20s. so as we go hour by hour tomorrow once again it's cloudy, chilly, most of the snow will stay far north and west. temperatures will start to moderate as we move throughout that seven day forecast. 38 degrees for tuesday. 32 on wednesday. once again the highest impact on that wednesday morning commute 37 degrees on thursday. not as cold friday 41 degrees. upper 40s by saturday. it looks like low 50s as we move toward sunday. so comfortable for tailgators. by kick off temperatures likely in coming up just a few minutes. successful mission to free a hump back whale near the hawaiian island of moui. releasing this video of crews trying to remove some fishing line that was wrapped around the whale on friday. fishing vessel saw the whale and contacted authorities and crews removed more than 280 feet of line that the whale was trailing. officials say that whale has an excellent chance of survival and investigators are now trying to find out where that line came from. let's get back to your fox 29 weather authority now. it's cold out there as we take live look at wilmington all traces of last week's winter warmup gone. if the cold isn't enough scott is tracking snow in the foreca forecast. how much are we going get? the answer in 15 seconds. yes, that's right. more snow is headed in our direction. right now as we look at ultimate doppler, we're dry and quiet. but off to the west, this is the clipper. it's a slow mover. so by this time tomorrow, many of us still won't be looking at any of the snow. so here's the timing. during the day tomorrow, most of the snow far north and west mainly for the poconos into sections of the lehigh valley and then tomorrow evening and overnight early through wednesday about midday we're locking at that light snow around philadelphia points south and east. then how much snow do i expect for philadelphia? about a couple of inches. higher elevations north and west. could see anywhere from three to as much as about 5-inches of snow. but as we go hour by hour look at the clock. 2:00 p.m. tomorrow afternoon. most of us just cloudy and chilly. we're looking at that snow north and west. then what about 6:00 o'clock? you can see most of it stays well to the north and west of us throughout much of the day tomorrow. there might be some flurries or some flakes that try and approach the i-95 corridor but once again most of that snow will hold off until overnight tuesday into wednesday morning so the highest impact as far as the commute times go will be for wednesday morning. so that's the bottom line with that system as we look at the arrival times of that snow tuesday morning far north and west in the poconos. by the afternoon, sections of lancaster county, berks county into the lehigh valley made maybe some flakes moving into upper montgomery and bucks county. then late tomorrow night and into the overnight that's when it arrives i-95 south and east. how much snow may be one to 2-inches the i-95 corridor. coat to go about a half an inch as you move into south jersey and once again three to 5-inches once you move toward say berks county the lehigh valley and also into sections of the poconos mountains much look at the temperatures it's. 32 freezing wilmington. 32 degrees freezing in atlantic city. the high in philly today made it up to 34 degrees. temperatures tonight bottom out in the mid to upper 20s. so as we go hour by hour tomorrow once again it's cloudy, chilly, most of the snow will stay far north and west. temperatures will start to moderate as we move throughout that seven day forecast. 38 degrees for tuesday. 32 on wednesday. once again the highest impact on that wednesday morning commute 37 degrees on thursday. not as cold friday 41 degrees. upper 40s by saturday. it looks like low 50s as we move toward sunday. so comfortable for tailgators. by kick off temperatures likely in
