windchill advisory that's in effect starts between the and continues through tomorrow throughout the entire delaware valley because we are expecting overnight temperatures to drop into the single digits, that windchill for today is going to feel like single digits and tonight the windchill below zero and we've got below freezing temperatures for a nine be day stretch. that's why this is such a including the kimmel center, i know one of the philadelphia high schools along the route, and people are also encouraged to go down to the septa concourse to warm up. right now, i know temperatures, cause. and firefighters were battling another fire in the bitter cold to put out flames at this one, in kensington. we know that one woman was treated at the scene. and this happened on the 2700 block of c street, this fire broke out around 3:30 this morning and firefighters were able to get it under control in just about 20 minutes. a man is in the hospital this morning after a shooting in kensington. police say someone shot the 27-year-old in the thigh, he's stable. he opened fire around 5:00 on the 2900 block of kip street and so far, police made no arrests. also in the strawberry mansion section, a man is critical after being shot five times outside a bar. police say bullets hit the man in both of his feet and in his back. shots rang out just before 5:00 this morning at 33rd eve. lots of people heading outside in the single digits. but feels even worse than that. feels like it's at zero degrees. those winds out of the northwest at 12 miles per hour aren't helping anything and we're not alone in this, from the midatlantic all the way up to new england. under a windchill advisory, because between the and tomorrow, especially in the morning hour, it's going to feel like it's below zero for most of the day. and unfortunately, it's going to be dangerously cold stretching over the next few days. the good thing is at this point, those areas under that windchill advisory are under clear skies. that's allowing the temperatures to drop. but we do have some nice sunshine so for those of you heading to the eagles game to tailgate, to enjoy the game, stay in the sun as much as possible. temperatures will be in the teens, getting to the upper teen, some areas near 20 degrees and then we'll see around 5:00 temperatures start to fall back down, winds continuing at ten to 15 miles per hour, that's why tonight will be so dangerous, sunny during date. overnight we lose the sunshine. and temperatures will be dropping to the single digits, nine is what the temperatures will be in philadelphia, negative 2 in the poconos but you factor in the wind and it will feel well below zero. look at this long stretch of temperatures in the 20's. it will be really bad sunday and monday today and tomorrow. new year, 2018 starting off with bitter, dangerous cold, then we start to warm things up if that's what you want to call it. we get to 29 on wednesday and then it's another dive back into the teens next weekend, so we'll be here next weekend talking about the sam thing. >> we won't be here next weekend. you and sean and lauren, everybody else, i'll be in the heat feel a bit better, otherwise, those winds can't ten maybe 15 miles per hour, it will feel like it's in the single digits through most of the game. your high for today, we're calling for 21 degrees, digits, that windchill for today is going to feel like single digits and tonight the windchill below zero and we've got below freezing temperatures for a nine be day stretch. that's why this is such a cause. and firefighters were battling another fire in the bitter cold to put out flames at this one, in kensington. we know that one woman was treated at the scene. and this happened on the 2700 block of c street, this fire broke out around 3:30 this morning and firefighters were able to get it under control in just about 20 minutes. a man is in the hospital this morning after a shooting in kensington. police say someone shot the 27-year-old in the thigh, he's stable. he opened fire around 5:00 on the 2900 block of kip street and so far, police made no arrests. also in the strawberry mansion section, a man is critical after being shot five times outside a bar. police say bullets hit the man in both of his feet and in his back. shots rang out just before 5:00 this morning at 33rd eve. lots of people heading outside in the single digits. but feels even worse than that. feels like it's at zero degrees. those winds out of the northwest at 12 miles per hour aren't helping anything and we're not alone in this, from the midatlantic all the way up to new england. under a windchill advisory, because between the and tomorrow, especially in the morning hour, it's going to feel like it's below zero for most of the day. and unfortunately, it's going to be dangerously cold stretching over the next few days. the good thing is at this point, those areas under that windchill advisory are under clear skies. that's allowing the temperatures to drop. but we do have some nice sunshine so for those of you heading to the eagles game to tailgate, to enjoy the game, stay in the sun as much as possible. temperatures will be in the teens, getting to the upper teen, some areas near 20 degrees and then we'll see around 5:00 temperatures start to fall back down, winds continuing at ten to 15 miles per hour, that's why tonight will be so dangerous, sunny during date. overnight we lose the sunshine. and temperatures will be dropping to the single digits, nine is what the temperatures will be in philadelphia, negative 2 in the poconos but you factor in the wind and it will feel well below zero. look at this long stretch of temperatures in the 20's. it will be really bad sunday and monday today and tomorrow. new year, 2018 starting off with bitter, dangerous cold, then we start to warm things up if that's what you want to call it. we get to 29 on wednesday and then it's another dive back into the teens next weekend, so we'll be here next weekend talking about the sam thing. >> we won't be here next weekend. you and sean and lauren, everybody else, i'll be in the heat temperatures in the teen, hovering near 20 at the warmest part which will be through the later parts of the afternoon be make sure you stay in the sunshine, soak up that sunshine, that will help it feel a bit better, otherwise, those winds can't ten maybe 15 miles per hour, it will feel like it's in the single digits through most of the game. your high for today, we're calling for 21 degrees, mostly sunny but it's not going to feel like 21 degrees, it will feel like it's in the single digits and then overnight we do drop those temperatures into the single digits, factor in that wind and still going to feel like it's below zero through tonight be and it will stay cold as we head to monday, we're at 21, 24 by tuesday. and we only get to 29. that's the highest we have on that seven-day
