sunshine, scattered showers and thunderstorms as well. but feels like temperatures approaching the triple digits. so not only will we have the heat and humidity, but also scattered showers and some downpours as early as tomorrow morning. so out the door dress for the weather but also have that umbrella handy. high temperatures right around 90 91 degrees. we'll talk about break in the humidity as the heat. it's very heavy but take a look behind me here at the art museum you can see people are still out at this hour trying to make the best of the night before the same temperatures maybe even worse return tomorrow. oppressive heat didn't keep people from going bout their normal routine today including exercising outdoors in sweltering heat. fountains around the city made great hang out spots for those desperate to keep cool. it's the time of year you mate hate to be without an air-conditioner. or have one go out. >> air-conditioners are being used so much ours is on its last leg. the one in the kitchen already went. >> reporter: this woman knows that feeling all too well. >> we have a couple ceiling fans but nothing, you know. >> reporter: she took us inside her cousin's home google play stores. >> in north philadelphia, a five-year-old girl says she stumbled into a strange man in her home then he attacked her. police say that her mom woke up yesterday morning and couldn't find her daughter. she was in the backyard that little girl was. she told her mom she got up in the middle of the night when a man came from behind a closet door led her outside then started kicking and punching her. she's now at saint christopher's hospital. her p.m. tells us she's having surgery tomorrow and police have not made any arrests. in cumberland county heat impacting firefighters at this beauty salon the building caught fire just after 5:00 on north high street in millville. crews on the scene called four different companies in to help out. no one was hurt and we don't know what started that fire tonight. developing right now what could be the first break in the disappearance of malaysian airlines flight 370. boeing is confirming to night debris found in the indian ocean is consistent with its 77 aircraft. it's the same type of plane that vanish with 298 people on board almost year ago. fox 29's sabina kuriakose live in our newsroom. sabina where does this investigation go from here? >> reporter: lucy officials say photos and videos of the debris show it's a match to part of a wing that's unique to a boeing 777. they say it will take more time to confirm that debris is actually a piece of the missing mh370 but former federal prosecutor and commercial pilot fred see see tells us, there aren't a lot of missing boeing 777's out there. >> barnacle covered and broken a startling discovery perhaps a year and a half in the making. debris from the wing of what u.s. officials are calling of confident come from a boeing 777 found on the remote french island of reunion by people cleaning the beach. igniting hope that this could be the clue to unraveling the mystery of missing malaysian airlines flight 370. >> what this tells us the airplane went into the water and the question now is why? and where? once we find where we'll find why. >> mh370 went missing last march. 239 passengers and crew on board vanishing seemingly without a trace. extensive search efforts water, how long it's been sitting on that beach. you know, forty one there they'll kind of work backward. obviously the search area if this is flight 370 the search area that was off the west coast of australia is the wrong search area. >> reporter: most importantly he says the debris gives the families of the missing something to hold on to. >> some level it kind of rips open an old wound that's been kind of sitting there for a year and a half now and then on another level it may ultimately bring closure to them and answer questions which i'm sure have eaten away at them from the night this airplane disappeared. >> reporter: very long year and a half. debris puts an end to one theory circulated after mh370 went missing. it was not highjacked and kept hidden for some unidentified purpose. meantime malaysian is sending a team to verify the wreckage. lucy. >> thank you sabina. former ohio police officer is facing murder charges tonight for shooting an unarmed man during a traffic stop. the entire thing caught on the officer's body cam. grand jury handed up an indictment against university of cincinnati police officer raymond tessing today. prosecutors he shot and killed 43-year-old sam during a traffic stop on july 19th. this is video from the police officers camera. we're only showing you the moments before and after the shooting. now this is the first time prosecutors have charged a cincinnati law enforcement officer with murder. in anticipation of today's announcement the university of cincinnati canceled all classes at its main campus. its police department has fired the officer. also developing to night long-time philadelphia congressman under federal indictment. the list of charges against chaka fattah is long including racketeering and bribery. today's bombshell comes after an investigation that's been underway for years. fox 29's dave schratwieser spoke to constituents about those chargescharges. >> that's outrage. that's outrage. >> reporter: constituents of indicted congressman chaka fattah were disgusted and shaking their heads wednesday at news that the 20 year veteran of congress had been charged in a wide sweeping racketeering case. >> unfortunate. persons who know better. they do not do better. >> that angers me. a person like him he's supposed to be a milestone a pillar for this community. bringing us up not taking from us. >> reporter: federal authorities announced a 29 count indictment against 58 year old fattah. charging him with racketeering, conspiracy bribery, money laundering and other charges. >> the conduct that congressman fattah engaged in, undermines public faith in government. undermine confidence in government. >> this is not deflate-gate, all right? this is a normal issue ofwhich there are allegations after a very long run eight year investigation. >> reporter: federal investigators say the congressman and four others allegedly engaged in five schemes misappropriating hundreds of thousands every dollars tried to make it all go it way. >> fattah and his associates engaged in a coverup lasting years in an effort to avoid detect. >> reporter: the investigation started with a tip to the fbi in 2013 that led agents straight to fattah. fattah also used funds illegally to pay off his mayoral campaign debt pay personal expenses for he and his wife, pay for a vacation home and help reduce his son's student loans by $23,000. >> corruption like what is charged today really shakes public confidence. >> reporter: fbi says the congressman also took an $18,000 bribe payment from former deputy mayor herbert vitterman in return for an appointment as u.s. ambassador or another federal job. >> these alleged crimes and subsequent coverup are a breach of the public trust. >> sounds like a criminal mastermind to meme he deserves to be behind bars. >> dave schratwieser tells us fattah is expected in core in the next week or two. he was not arrested on the charges this morning. fattah did resign his post on the appropriations sub committee today. our own jeff cole confronted fattah years ago about the investigation. what he told jeff on camera is coming up later in the newscast. >> delaware county woman facing murder charges more than three months after the hit-and-run death of a four-year-old philadelphia boy. police say 27-year-old shaneeka mason turned herself this morning. she was behind the wheel during the april 13th crash that killed abdul wilson in kingsessing. police say wilson died after mason's suv knocked him to the ground. then hit him again as it continued on. investigators they found her vehicle at a parking garage near love park in center city. >> a guy doing doughnuts with his truck on his yard but that's not any front lawn he's doing this in front of a video showing a woman walking on the 2100 block of east 75th avenue monday afternoon. that's when robber comes out of nowhere, grabs the i phone right out of her hand. police are also searching for another person who they think may have acted as diversion in the robbery. investigators are also looking at two other recent cell phones snatchings both of them also caught on camera. >> picture perfect day at the jersey shore. but the sound of lifeguard whistles interrupted an afternoon of fun along the surf in avalon. that sound had dozens swimmers racing out of the water and right back on to the sand. >> fox 29's dave kinchen has more on what witnesses saw under the waves that sparked fear and nearly everyone standing on the beach. >> reporter: this is how avalon looked through most of wednesday with families enjoying themselves in the ocean and on the beach but a midday warning from lifeguards changed all of that. >> we were all approaching the beach and all the kids were going with boogie boards and literally about six lifeguards came in, pulled everybody out of the ocean. >> reporter: viewer zen fox 29 this picture of beach goers ordered out of the water after a sand shark was spotted and roar to do lifeguards. it was enough to shake up children. >> were you scared. >> a little. >> and adults a like. >> i was freak out. who wouldn't be? everybody on the beach was. they were screaming for their kids and stuff like that. >> reporter: it was a first for the this family montreal who made their seventh trip to avalon. >> we were a little bit afraid the shark here in avalon first time we heard about it. >> we have cleared the water. a little bit more often. >> officer lon beach patrol says even the lifeguards have seen fins that raise questions they could not confirm wednesday's sighting. as for clearing the beach -- >> it's just more of a precaution i think. >> reporter: precautions alone spark fear with many thinking about a shark caught in brig team earlier this summer and numerous shark attacks off the north carolina coast. >> i've been hearing about the shark attacks and i didn't think much about it but being here in person worrying about the kids and stuff it was super frightening. >> with the increase shark sightings along the jersey shore. i asked a shark research institute in princeton. they claim more people are down the shore and they happen to be more aware of their surroundings surround avalon dave kinchen fox 29 news news. >> former philadelphia drug company will spend 3.5 years in prison. narcotics officer jeffrey walker was handed that zens tense. in february he plead guilty to federal charges of corruption and misconduct telling a jury he and members of his undercover unit committed thousands of crimes on duty. a jury later acquitted six of his colleagues of similar crimes which includeed stealing drugs and money from suspects. planting evidence and lying to get convictions. a judge overturned a number of those convictions after walker's guilty plea. for members of this flood in west philadelphia water main break sent millions of gallons of water gushing on to the 500 block of north 52nd why ya lou sink streets over month ago. the good news for people living in that area who have not been able to park or drive down the street work crews have packed up and headed out. finally the main is fixed and the street is back open tonight for many people who live on the block their lives can now somewhat get back to normal. but they say it's not all the work is done yet. >> they did a great job stable at the delaware park race track in stanton but he did see the alleged gunman, a jockey, drive off with his girlfriend who also work at the barn not too far behind. >> what did you hear and see. >> girl just said her boyfriend just finish shooting somebody. >> reporter: delaware state police say it happened just before 9:00 o'clock this morning. confirming a jockey shot a horse trainer. the suspect was taken into custody a short time later after state police helicopter spotted his car at the prides court apartments about 2 miles away. investigators say they recovered the weapon in a creek by the race track entrance. >> scary. it's scary, you know. because make everybody come down. >> reporter: workers here say everyone generally gets along. this morning's shooting leaving many at a sleep number store. >> angry protesters outside the office of a minnesota dentist whose quickly become the target of worldwide outrage. walter james palmer has not been seen in public since authorities identified him as the man who hunted and killed a protected lion in zimbabwe. investigators in that country say palmer paid two other men $50,000 to track and kill the lion. authorities say palmer wounded cecil the lion with a cross bow then tracked it for 40 hours before shooting it to death. palmer has since apologized and maintains he had no idea the lion he killed was a protected with national park. police have already caught and charged the two men who helped him federal investigators in the us are now looking into possible charges against palmer. meanwhile dentist continues to face backlash from the public with many saying he has to do something to make it right right right. >> three college students are suing rolling stone magazine over a story that profiled a supposed rape in their fraternity. police say they never found any evidence it happen. three men are suing that magazine and publish cher for what they call vicious and hurtful attacks they have suffered. the suit also claims that even though rolling stone never named them the report gave enough details that people could identify them. the article profiled a woman's story about seven men raping her at a time fraternity in 2012. police say they found no evidence to back up her claims. a tow truck driver pulled over to help a woman flagging him down on the side of the road. >> but police say it was all a deadly setup. police say when he stopped outside detroit that woman and two men ambushed him. anthony alexander struggled with at least one of the suspects over their gun and when it went off it hit him in the stomach. the victim tried to drive away but crashed into a nearby gas station. he was able to tell police what happened before he died at the hospital. what's worse his mom found out by seeing his truck on the news. >> just trying to do the right thing. >> right thing and just couldn't do that. that was his joy. that was his love. >> she says at the most her son was carrying $60 some relief in just a few minutes. developing to night a philadelphia congressman wrapped up in scandal. a long running federal investigation has led to an indictment against shock at a fattah. the us attorney's office coming down hard against the congressman today. fattah and four others on his staff face charges of corruption corruption, bribery, and a lot more. >> our jeff cole confronted fattah back in 2013 about the investigation. >> reporter: have you hired legal counsel, congressman? >> it's important to note that these are matter that is have been reviewed since as best i know since 2007. >> reporter: federal government has been looking at you since 2007? >> and we're sure that they're doing it appropriately and, you know, when you're in a public roll it's to be expected. >> reporter: those were the confident words of us representative chaka fattah, jr. in the fall of 2013 in front of philadelphia federal courthouse. he come there to speak about education. we showed up to about a federal subpoena we had gotten our hands on. >> if a fire alarm has been pulled, it's perfectly warranted for the fire company to come. but that is not discern there's an actual fire. >> reporter: the document sought mostly city tax records it had three names on it parks at a's renee' chenault his wife and richard jhaag a special agent of the if the bi. there were specific requests like all records pertaining to city property tax assessed to 5783 nassau road philadelphia a house owned by fattah. >> there are no circumstances in which i would ever do anything that would embarrass my constituents or my family and i owe no tacks. i never received any -- >> last august the guilty plea by a political consultant close to fattah moved the investigation nearer to the congressman. in public statements fattah remained confident but in 2013, when we asked him about his wife's name appearing in the subpoenas request for documents he grew upset. >> congressman, your wife's name is on the document as is her social security number as well and they're looking at records that relate directly to her. why would that be? >> i don't believe that's the case at all other than the fact she's my wife. >> reporter: sir i can show you -- >> i don't know why you would ever bring in my family. >> reporter: congressman i have the letter. would you like to see it? >> are you claiming i'm not telling you something truthful? >> i don't want to see anything. >> reporter: renee' chenault fattah is not named or charged but she's identified as person e. she's linked to an alleged scheme to sell her porsche to a lobbyist but the feds found the car in the fattah's garage more than two years later. she did not immediately return our call for comment. channel 10 reports she's on leave. jeff he wasn't expecting the pastor inside to fight back. pastor bennie holmes was sleeping inside the church near houston when the burglar burst in. holmes grabbed his nine mill neither handgun and started firing. police say he hit the man in the shoulder. the guy is in the hospital. and police say this isn't the first time the pastor has stopped crime. >> we had several ups packages that were front of people's homes and they were misterly disappeared. pastor holmes had the camcorder set up in front of his house. actually caught the lady and restrained her until police could arrive. >> we'll come close but we can compete against a few more clouds as well as the threat for some scattered showers and storms. but dangerous heat continues tomorrow. especially along the urbanized e95 corridor. we have that excessive heat warning from noon until 6:00 o'clock. limit your outdoor exposure. feels like temperatures approaching the trip tell digits. still pretty warm right now. 82 degrees in philadelphia. look at that humidity. 71%. so it still feels like 87 right now stepping outdoors. temperatures pretty uniform upper 70s low 80s right now. 77 degrees in millville as well as wildwood. we're looking at 81 in trenton. 79 degrees right now in pottstown. but take look at the dew points the measure of moisture in the atmosphere. any time we have dew points above 60 it starts to feel sticky but look at the dew points right now in the 70s. even upper 70s for dover. 74 is the due point temperature right now in wilmington so very tropical almost like we're along the gulf of mexico right now. but here in the philadelphia area. so take look at that scale. you can see above 60 it's sticky uncomfortable 65. we have dew points above 70 so it is oppressive humidity out there. so for tomorrow, we'll be keeping tabs on this cold front off to the west. it's not going to really bring us any cold air but behind. we will see lower humidity. it will likely stay hot but out ahead of it, winds out of the southwest pumping up more moisture and we'll watch a line of scattered showers and some downpours. so mostly cloudy skies out there tomorrow morning. maybe a downpour really any time tomorrow. so have those pocket umbrellas on stand by and as we continue to roll the clock we'll likely see some breaks in the clouds, some sunshine. that will help us hopefully reach that 90 or better to call it our third heat wave keeping tabs on that line in the afternoon for a better chance of showers and downpours between say, 4:00 o'clock and 7:00 p.m. tomorrow. the best chance for heavy rainfall widespread by 5:00 o'clock. along the i-95 corridor. so it could be a wet and steamy evening commute. keep that mind and that front pushes offshore tomorrow night. lower humidity by friday but it's still going to stay hot. steamy tonight upper 60s. mid 70. 91 degrees if we can compete with those clouds and see some sunshine breaks. we'll hit it and then by friday it's still hot but not as humid. 92 degrees. low 90's into the upcoming weekend. so staying pretty steamy across the area with or without that official third heat wave so tomorrow we've got to watch the clouds and correctional officer asked him to park the car in a parking space. >> he said no he wasn't going to move it. so he he is cored him outside and asked him to move the vehicle and again he said no. >> reporter: as patrol deputy arrived he convinced roberts to move his car much here's how he moved it. >> he just started racing around in the jail lawn. >> reporter: around and around the car went go. >> i was screaming as loud as my whole voice can go. >> reporter: nine-year-old bethenny that is a teeth marks in her leg and feet. >> it was biting on me. it was just dragging me on the ground. i had my dag bag which was full of heavy things and so when it pulled her to the ground i took action and hit it with my bag. >> when big brother pound this animal it finally ran off. >> it probably took a minute and it felt like forever. >> reporter: family rushed inside their home for help because the danger was just beginning. >> we were all still screaming and in the house and i called my mother-in-law and she said call 911. so i called 911 and they came like real quick. report roar the quick act led to er visit and immediate rabies shots which may have been life savers. two days later a neighbor found this fox dead in their yard and county tests confirm the animal had rabies. it's rare even in this rural part of northwest georgia to have confirm rabies cases. they only had 31 since 2003. animal control is now warning residents in this area to make sure their dogs and cats get vaccinated. pets are the easiest way to transfer rabies to humans. they're also telling people to watch for wild animals if you see a fox or raccoon during the daytime like this familiar dull that animal is likely sick. >> i knew it wasn't normal for foxes to be out in daylight attacking people. >> that the heat. it's very heavy but take a look behind me here at the art museum you can see people are still out at this hour trying to make the best of the night before the same temperatures maybe even worse return tomorrow. oppressive heat didn't keep people from going bout their normal routine today including exercising outdoors in sweltering heat. fountains around the city made great hang out spots for those desperate to keep cool. it's the time of year you mate hate to be without an air-conditioner. or have one go out. >> air-conditioners are being used so much ours is on its last leg. google play stores. >> in north philadelphia, a five-year-old girl says she stumbled into a strange man in her home then he attacked her. police say that her mom woke up yesterday morning and couldn't find her daughter. she was in the backyard that little girl was. she told her mom she got up in the middle of the night when a man came from behind a closet door led her outside then started kicking and punching her. she's now at saint christopher's hospital. her p.m. tells us she's having surgery tomorrow and police have not made any arrests. in cumberland county heat impacting firefighters at this beauty salon the building caught fire just after 5:00 on north high street in millville. crews on the scene called four different companies in to help out. no one was hurt and we don't know what started that fire tonight. developing right now what could be the first break in the disappearance of malaysian airlines flight 370. boeing is confirming to night debris found in the indian ocean is consistent with its 77 aircraft. it's the same type of plane that vanish with 298 people on board almost year ago. fox 29's sabina kuriakose live in our newsroom. sabina where does this investigation go from here? >> reporter: lucy officials say photos and videos of the debris show it's a match to part of a wing that's unique to a boeing 777. they say it will take more time to confirm that debris is actually a piece of the missing mh370 but former federal prosecutor and commercial pilot fred see see tells us, there aren't a lot of missing boeing 777's out there. >> barnacle covered and broken a startling discovery perhaps a year and a half in the making. debris from the wing of what u.s. officials are calling of confident come from a boeing 777 found on the remote french island of reunion by people cleaning the beach. igniting hope that this could be the clue to unraveling the mystery of missing malaysian airlines flight 370. >> what this tells us the airplane went into the water and the question now is why? and where? once we find where we'll find why. >> mh370 went missing last march. 239 passengers and crew on board vanishing seemingly without a trace. extensive search efforts in the indian ocean proving fruit less. former prosecutor and commercial pilot fred tecce says this new evidence might alter the course of the search. >> it's a question of how long it's been in the water, how long it's been sitting on that beach. you know, forty one there they'll kind of work backward. obviously the search area if this is flight 370 the search area that was off the west coast of australia is the wrong search area. >> reporter: most importantly he says the debris gives the families of the missing something to hold on to. >> some level it kind of rips open an old wound that's been kind of sitting there for a year and a half now and then on another level it may ultimately bring closure to them and answer questions which i'm sure have eaten away at them from the night this airplane disappeared. >> reporter: very long year and a half. debris puts an end to one theory circulated after mh370 went missing. it was not highjacked and kept hidden for some unidentified purpose. meantime malaysian is sending a team to verify the wreckage. lucy. >> thank you sabina. former ohio police officer is facing murder charges tonight for shooting an unarmed man during a traffic stop. the entire thing caught on the officer's body cam. grand jury handed up an indictment against university of cincinnati police officer raymond tessing today. prosecutors he shot and killed 43-year-old sam during a traffic stop on july 19th. this is video from the police officers camera. we're only showing you the moments before and after the shooting. now this is the first time prosecutors have charged a cincinnati law enforcement officer with murder. in anticipation of today's announcement the university of cincinnati canceled all classes at its main campus. its police department has fired the officer. also developing to night long-time philadelphia congressman under federal indictment. the list of charges against chaka fattah is long including racketeering and bribery. today's bombshell comes after an investigation that's been underway for years. fox 29's dave schratwieser spoke to constituents about those chargescharges. >> that's outrage. that's outrage. >> reporter: constituents of indicted congressman chaka fattah were disgusted and shaking their heads wednesday at news that the 20 year veteran of congress had been charged in a wide sweeping racketeering case. >> unfortunate. persons who know better. they do not do better. >> that angers me. a person like him he's supposed to be a milestone a pillar for this community. bringing us up not taking from us. >> reporter: federal authorities announced a 29 count indictment against 58 year old fattah. charging him with racketeering, conspiracy bribery, money laundering and other charges. >> the conduct that congressman fattah engaged in, undermines public faith in government. undermine confidence in government. >> this is not deflate-gate, all right? this is a normal issue ofwhich there are allegations after a very long run eight year investigation. >> reporter: federal investigators say the congressman and four others allegedly engaged in five schemes misappropriating hundreds of thousands every dollars tried to make it all go it way. >> fattah and his associates engaged in a coverup lasting years in an effort to avoid detect. >> reporter: the investigation started with a tip to the fbi in 2013 that led agents straight to fattah. fattah also used funds illegally to pay off his mayoral campaign debt pay personal expenses for he and his wife, pay for a vacation home and help reduce his son's student loans by $23,000. >> corruption like what is charged today really shakes public confidence. >> reporter: fbi says the congressman also took an $18,000 bribe payment from former deputy mayor herbert vitterman in return for an appointment as u.s. ambassador or another federal job. >> these alleged crimes and subsequent coverup are a breach of the public trust. >> sounds like a criminal mastermind to meme he deserves to be behind bars. >> dave schratwieser tells us fattah is expected in core in the next week or two. he was not arrested on the charges this morning. fattah did resign his post on the appropriations sub committee today. our own jeff cole confronted fattah years ago about the investigation. what he told jeff on camera is coming up later in the newscast. >> delaware county woman facing murder charges more than three months after the hit-and-run death of a four-year-old philadelphia boy. police say 27-year-old shaneeka mason turned herself this morning. she was behind the wheel during the april 13th crash that killed abdul wilson in kingsessing. police say wilson died after mason's suv knocked him to the ground. then hit him again as it continued on. investigators they found her vehicle at a parking garage near love park in center city. >> a guy doing doughnuts with his truck on his yard but that's not any front lawn he's doing this in front of a jail. what it took to finally stop the mayhem. >> a scary afternoon down the shore. dozens of swimmers forced out of the ocean. >> it is scary. >> we were little bit afraid. >> what witnesses saw that forced lifeguards to clear the water. >> and he stopped for a woman who was begging for help but police say it was a deadly set up. devastating way one mom found out her son was killed. >> plus a brother steps in to save his little sister as they're walking home. what launched a surprise attack on the kids in ♪ another cell phone snatching caught on camera here in philadelphia. surveillance video showing a woman walking on the 2100 block of east 75th avenue monday afternoon. that's when robber comes out of nowhere, grabs the i phone right out of her hand. police are also searching for another person who they think may have acted as diversion in the robbery. investigators are also looking at two other recent cell phones snatchings both of them also caught on camera. >> picture perfect day at the jersey shore. but the sound of lifeguard whistles interrupted an afternoon of fun along the surf in avalon. that sound had dozens swimmers racing out of the water and right back on to the sand. >> fox 29's dave kinchen has more on what witnesses saw under the waves that sparked fear and nearly everyone standing on the beach. >> reporter: this is how avalon looked through most of wednesday with families enjoying themselves in the ocean and on the beach but a midday warning from lifeguards changed all of that. >> we were all approaching the beach and all the kids were going with boogie boards and literally about six lifeguards came in, pulled everybody out of the ocean. >> reporter: viewer zen fox 29 this picture of beach goers ordered out of the water after a sand shark was spotted and roar to do lifeguards. it was enough to shake up children. >> were you scared. >> a little. >> and adults a like. >> i was freak out. who wouldn't be? everybody on the beach was. they were screaming for their kids and stuff like that. >> reporter: it was a first for the this family montreal who made their seventh trip to avalon. >> we were a little bit afraid the shark here in avalon first time we heard about it. >> we have cleared the water. a little bit more often. >> officer lon beach patrol says even the lifeguards have seen fins that raise questions they could not confirm wednesday's sighting. as for clearing the beach -- >> it's just more of a precaution i think. >> reporter: precautions alone spark fear with many thinking about a shark caught in brig team earlier this summer and numerous shark attacks off the north carolina coast. >> i've been hearing about the shark attacks and i didn't think much about it but being here in person worrying about the kids and stuff it was super frightening. >> with the increase shark sightings along the jersey shore. i asked a shark research institute in princeton. they claim more people are down the shore and they happen to be more aware of their surroundings surround avalon dave kinchen fox 29 news news. >> former philadelphia drug company will spend 3.5 years in prison. narcotics officer jeffrey walker was handed that zens tense. in february he plead guilty to federal charges of corruption and misconduct telling a jury he and members of his undercover unit committed thousands of crimes on duty. a jury later acquitted six of his colleagues of similar crimes which includeed stealing drugs and money from suspects. planting evidence and lying to get convictions. a judge overturned a number of those convictions after walker's guilty plea. for members of this flood in west philadelphia water main break sent millions of gallons of water gushing on to the 500 block of north 52nd why ya lou sink streets over month ago. the good news for people living in that area who have not been able to park or drive down the street work crews have packed up and headed out. finally the main is fixed and the street is back open tonight for many people who live on the block their lives can now somewhat get back to normal. but they say it's not all the work is done yet. >> they did a great job stable at the delaware park race track in stanton but he did see the alleged gunman, a jockey, drive off with his girlfriend who also work at the barn not too far behind. >> what did you hear and see. >> girl just said her boyfriend just finish shooting somebody. >> reporter: delaware state police say it happened just before 9:00 o'clock this morning. confirming a jockey shot a horse trainer. the suspect was taken into custody a short time later after state police helicopter spotted his car at the prides court apartments about 2 miles away. investigators say they recovered the weapon in a creek by the race track entrance. >> scary. it's scary, you know. because make everybody come down. >> reporter: workers here say everyone generally gets along. this morning's shooting leaving many rattled. >> everybody feel bad. why? why? why people have to do that? why people have to have a gun? >> people really quiet. i don't know. it's really weird here for it to happen here. >> the vick at a sleep number store. >> angry protesters outside the office of a minnesota dentist whose quickly become the target of worldwide outrage. walter james palmer has not been seen in public since authorities identified him as the man who hunted and killed a protected lion in zimbabwe. investigators in that country say palmer paid two other men $50,000 to track and kill the lion. authorities say palmer wounded cecil the lion with a cross bow then tracked it for 40 hours before shooting it to death. palmer has since apologized and maintains he had no idea the lion he killed was a protected with national park. police have already caught and charged the two men who helped him federal investigators in the us are now looking into possible charges against palmer. meanwhile dentist continues to face backlash from the public with many saying he has to do something to make it right right right. >> three college students are suing rolling stone magazine over a story that profiled a supposed rape in their fraternity. police say they never found any evidence it happen. three men are suing that magazine and publish cher for what they call vicious and hurtful attacks they have suffered. the suit also claims that even though rolling stone never named them the report gave enough details that people could identify them. the article profiled a woman's story about seven men raping her at a time fraternity in 2012. police say they found no evidence to back up her claims. a tow truck driver pulled over to help a woman flagging him down on the side of the road. >> but police say it was all a deadly setup. police say when he stopped outside detroit that woman and two men ambushed him. anthony alexander struggled with at least one of the suspects over their gun and when it went off it hit him in the stomach. the victim tried to drive away but crashed into a nearby gas station. he was able to tell police what happened before he died at the hospital. what's worse his mom found out by seeing his truck on the news. >> just trying to do the right thing. >> right thing and just couldn't do that. that was his joy. that was his love. >> she says at the most her son was carrying $60 reporter: the document sought mostly city tax records it had three names on it parks at a's renee' chenault his wife and richard jhaag a special agent of the if the bi. there were specific requests like all records pertaining to city property tax assessed to 5783 nassau road philadelphia a house owned by fattah. >> there are no circumstances in which i would ever do anything that would embarrass my constituents or my family and i owe no tacks. i never received any -- >> last august the guilty plea by a political consultant close to fattah moved the investigation nearer to the congressman. in public statements fattah remained confident but in 2013, when we asked him about his wife's name appearing in the subpoenas request for documents he grew upset. >> congressman, your wife's name is on the document as is her social security number as well and they're looking at records that relate directly to her. why would that be? >> i don't believe that's the case at all other than the fact she's my wife. >> reporter: sir i can show you -- >> i don't know why you would ever bring in my family. >> reporter: congressman i have the letter. would you like to see it? >> are you claiming i'm not telling you something truthful? >> i don't want to see anything. >> reporter: renee' chenault fattah is not named or charged but she's identified as person e. she's linked to an alleged scheme to sell her porsche to a lobbyist but the feds found the car in the fattah's garage more than two years later. she did not immediately return our call for comment. channel 10 reports she's on leave. jeff front of people's homes and they were misterly disappeared. pastor holmes had the camcorder set up in front of his house. actually caught the lady and restrained her until police could arrive. >> degrees in philadelphia. look at that humidity. 71%. so it still feels like 87 right now stepping outdoors. temperatures pretty uniform upper 70s low 80s right now. 77 degrees in millville as well as wildwood. we're looking at 81 in trenton. 79 degrees right now in pottstown. but take look at the dew points the measure of moisture in the atmosphere. any time we have dew points above 60 it starts to feel sticky but look at the dew points right now in the 70s. even upper 70s for dover. 74 is the due point temperature right now in wilmington so very tropical almost like we're along the gulf of mexico right now. but here in the philadelphia area. so take look at that scale. you can see above 60 it's sticky uncomfortable 65. we have dew points above 70 so it is oppressive humidity out there. so for tomorrow, we'll be keeping tabs on this cold front off to the west. it's not going to really bring us any cold air but behind. we will see lower humidity. it will likely stay hot but out ahead of it, winds out of the southwest pumping up more moisture and we'll watch a line of scattered showers and some downpours. so mostly cloudy skies out there tomorrow morning. maybe a downpour really any time tomorrow. so have those pocket umbrellas on stand by and as we continue to roll the clock we'll likely see some breaks in the clouds, some sunshine. that will help us hopefully reach that 90 or better to call it our third heat wave keeping tabs on that line in the afternoon for a better chance of showers and downpours between say, 4:00 o'clock and 7:00 p.m. tomorrow. the best chance for heavy rainfall widespread by 5:00 o'clock. along the i-95 corridor. so it could be a wet and steamy evening commute. keep that mind and that front pushes offshore tomorrow night. lower humidity by friday but it's still going to stay hot. steamy tonight upper 60s. mid 70. 91 degrees if we can compete with those clouds and see some sunshine breaks. we'll hit it and then by friday it's still hot but not as humid. 92 degrees. low 90's into the upcoming weekend. so staying pretty steamy across the area with or without that official third heat wave so tomorrow we've got to watch the clouds and correctional officer asked him to park the car in a parking space. >> he said no he wasn't going to move it. so he he is cored him outside and asked him to move the vehicle and again he said no. >> reporter: as patrol deputy arrived he convinced roberts to move his car much here's how he moved it. >> he just started racing around in the jail lawn. >> reporter: around and around the car went nearly strikeing a patrol car. the next lap around roberts slammed into a flagpole. >> that was his final resting spot and they removed him from the vehicle. >> depth pow tease swarmed the car and arrested roberts charging him with criminal mischief and violenting resisting an officer. burning question is why? >> he didn't want to talk. he didn't want to talk to us. >> reporter: nine yours ago the night aft christmas arrest records so roberts parked in the same spot ran inside the same way and demanded his uncle be released from jail. he was arrested then and admit admitted to unrelateed hit-and-run crash and smoking an ounce of marijuana that day. in all the sheriffs office estimates about a thousand dollars worth of damage was done to a bench the flagpole, some landscaping and an officer's memorial. >> we hope that all of our visitors at the jail would park in parking place and e the lobby and let us know what they want and we'll be happy to help them. >> roberts is still in jail tonight on a $4,000 bond. 14 people in texas don't have to imagine how terrifying it would they're elevator stopped mid trip then the air-conditioning stopped. my heart would have stopped i'm claustrophobic much this is my worst nightmare. firefighters had to actually lower a ladder into that elevator each person had to climb out then up a second ladder there they are before wiggling through a little opening in the side of the building. see there goes the feet. and by the way two years ago another elevator at that tower got stuck. it took two hours to rescue the folks in that one. something furry outside their front porch. >> it just started attack us. >> reporter: got 12-year-old jacob in the leg. >> grabbed on real tight and i was trying to get it off me and it wouldn't let go. >> i was screaming as loud as my whole voice can go. >> reporter: nine-year-old bethenny that is a teeth marks in her leg and feet. >> it was biting on me. it was just dragging me on the ground. i had my dag bag which was full of heavy things and so when it pulled her to the ground i took action and hit it with my bag. >> when big brother pound this animal it finally ran off. >> it probably took a minute and it felt like forever. >> reporter: family rushed inside their home for help because the danger was just beginning. >> we were all still screaming and in the house and i called my mother-in-law and she said call 911. so i called 911 and they came like real quick. report roar the quick act led to er visit and immediate rabies shots which may have been life savers. two days later a neighbor found this fox dead in their yard and county tests confirm the animal had rabies. it's rare even in this rural part of northwest georgia to have confirm rabies cases. they only had 31 since 2003. animal control is now warning residents in this area to make sure their dogs and cats get vaccinated. pets are the easiest way to transfer rabies to humans. they're also telling people to watch for wild animals if you see a fox or raccoon during the daytime like this familiar dull that animal is likely sick. >> i knew it wasn't normal for foxes to be out in daylight attacking people. >> that
