>> yes. >> what happened to his hair. >> you know, it is blending with the background. >> okay. >> he is indoors, at basketball camp? you can see it with the lightening. >> yes. >> hey we're trying to keep him indoors because of the lightening and thunder out there. temperatures in the 60's and 70's playing a little basketball. plenty of heavy downpours still with us, mostly in southern delaware and southern new jersey. we will zoom in on radar, and show you the worst of it. it looks like around ocean city, and atlantic city we are seeing heavy downpours right now. so 90 percent relative humidity out there. 71 degrees, sunrise happened officially at 5:55, a as those days get shorter and we will see hazy sunshine today, but also some more scattered thunderstorms throughout the afternoon, high of 85 degrees. so that takes care of the somewhat messy monday, we will talk about the next heat wave in store in the seven day forecast, hi there bob kelly. >> coming up at 6:02, good morning to south jersey, a live look for folks heading back to the shore, route 47, and 347, still getting that heavy rain and we have ponding on the roadway, big old puddles. depending upon where you begin and end your trip you've got wipers working hard and other areas may just have some puddles left over. live look at northbound lanes of the blue route right here near i-95. we have a disabled off to the shoulder. so again slower than normal speeds this morning because of the rain but monday morning folks like to stay down the shore, come right back to the beach and office, extra volume on the ac expressway, even here on the 42 freeway. and town tree, blocking the martin luther king drive at falls bridge, so for anyone coming down lincoln drive or exiting off of the schuylkill you will be forced to use kelly drive in toward center city and, of course, coming back from the delaware beach this morning that heavy rain heading route 13 and route one, hard all morning long and then we have delaware state fair which remains in town all the way through this coming weekend. north on 202, slower than normal in the work zone between 401, and 29, same deal, on i-95 southbound with slow go at both cottman and girard. mike and alex, back over to you. philadelphia police believe they have found the suv that struck a car and kept going. >> driver of the that other vehicle was killed and passenger was taken to the hospital. that is where steve keeley is talking with this accident, steve. >> reporter: well, as disturbing as it is, mike, you know from anchoring so many similar stories that the hit and run investigators at accident investigation division are becoming so experienced about how to go about one of these investigations when they find the vehicle and they think who knows who is driving the vehicle and then to have to go through legal red tape to get that person charged. that is what they are up against again. philadelphia police will get a search warrant as soon as possible and hope to get fingerprints, other evidence and proof to show who was driving this big dark suv at 10:30 when it slammed in the smaller mazda car you see here in the video pulling out of the parking spot long before it started raining here at the intersection of luzerne and istreet. the suv then sped off without a front bumper and has been found a few miles away. mazda driver killed on the impact, passenger hurt critically but has stabilized and should survive. police say they were able to find the suv so fast thanks to the help of the solid citizen who saw the crash, saw the suv take off and then, saw a need to do something and not just hit around and avoid getting involved. calling police to report the the crash and then direction of the suv being headed and then where it was going parked a few miles away on rising sun avenue. police hepp to find one other witness or more to come forward knowing driver, seeing anyone get out of that suv when it was park on rising sun and figuring likely being from that area, since that is where they drove to and left the koran the street. so maybe still in the rising sun avenue area the at ninth street where suv was left and found. here we go again another long lingering wait, they may have already identified the driver, certainly by now they know owner of that car and we will start with the owner and then look back to see if that car was stolen or if the owner had given it to somebody which we saw here earlier this summer and then a fatal crash once again. so another hit and run here in philadelphia, in surprise, to our daily viewers i'm sure. >> that is for sure, we have had so many. i bet more than any other city. steve, thank you. we have to talk about the delaware river. i don't know if i would be getting in the delaware this summer. it has been, the current has been doing funny things, we have lost two people, last week, they drowned. it was a close call along the delaware again yesterday in bucks county. after more than a dozen, half dozen tubers, lot of people love to tube on the delaware. half a dozen of them went missing for a little while. >> six delaware river water tubers were found safe and sound last night. several new jersey agencies banded together to find three men and three with men rescued. the group went missing for an hour after getting lost between regalsville, washington crossing. and only fox 29 cameras were there near tinicum as a woman was reunited with her family after getting separated sunday afternoon. >> that was in a different tubing case. >> she was tubing with her husband and two daughters when the the current took over. authority launched a three and a half hour search effort to find her. would the manmade it to the new jersey side of the river, got to a house and called for help. fire officials say they were getting nervous after handling several fatalities as you mentioned, mike, on the river so far this summer. >> the current just took her away from her group and could not do anything bit. thank god she got to the new jersey side. >> it shows how strong it can be. 6:06. funeral arrangements are being made for bobbi kristina brown. >> daughter of the which is any houston was only 22 years old. she died yesterday afternoon at a hospice center in atlanta. she had been in a medically induced coma since being discovered submerged in up in the state of custody. he is suspect of stabbing his wife 37 year-old danecia burton and a 21 month-old daughter. numerous times. stab wounds to both of them. neighbors say couple often argued but this time they could tell things were really bad. >> the way that she was screaming it wasn't a normal scream or argument. we hear this all the time. when i paused the tv and the way that she was screaming i could not lay there and let that just go down. when i went upstairs to see the baby, the baby was laying in her blood. ridiculous. it was not a nice sight to see. >> thankfully, as i morning, but if you didn't hear thunder you probably experienced rain and along new jersey and delaware coast we are experiencing rain right now. here things have eased up. we are not finish for the day but we may be finished for right now. we will move down the shore and see lightening, brigantine just got a tweet from the borgata from atlantic city where they are hearing thunder there. we will move further down ocean city, sea isle, avalon, where we will this be friday morning for our shore town all of these places getting heavy rain and getting loud in wildwood, cape may as well. we will go further south, rehoboth, dewey beach, lewis delaware also quite a few heavy downpours, and other parts of the sussex county, as well. so future rainfall totals as we go through the day some places could get 2 inches of rain from this morning's downpours or the ones where we're expecting later on in the day. we could have an inch and half of rain, by the time all is said and done today. it is a muggy morning, not like friday when it wases so delightful. sixty-five in mount pocono. seventy-one in philadelphia. 69 degrees in dover where they have had quite a bit of rain as well. dew points in the upper 60's to around 70, in spots, and in our measure of moisture we're backup, yeah, right around uncomfortable, oppressive range, of humidity. here we go, we've got the heat, that came back over the weekend with 90-degrees on saturday. eighty-nine on sunday. we will probably stay in the mid 80's today because of the thunderstorms and the cloud that will be hanging around but starting tomorrow, it could be heat wave number two, no, number three. this will be number three of 2015. we already had number one last week. ninety-two on tuesday. ninety-five on wednesday. thursday 94 before some more thunderstorms hit and that could knock us down in the upper 80's on friday and possibly saturday but for the first week end of august, unbelievably, this will be hot and humid just like what we're used to around philadelphia, bob kelly, it is getting better on a few roadways. >> definitely turned spigot off 422, good morning, caught up on 6:17. live look at 422, just damp and wet from heavier rain, that we have been dealing with for the last couple of hours, even here on the 42 freeway. it looks like it eased up. we are still left with the wet road, puddles and ponding. on a machine morning especially after a gorgeous weekend like we had folks like to stay down the shore an extra night and come right from the beach right from the office. we are seeing that extra volume on the freeway from philadelphia first jammo of the morning southbound i-95 from academy in through cottman. look out in the construction zones, those drainage grates, from the time they moved the rains around these drainage great seem to end up in the travel lane. when we have big puddles they are sitting right there for you. down tree blocking martin luther king drive. anyone trying to use throughout the area temperatures in the 60's and 70's. your pal bus stop buddy is inside playing basketball today. don't forget the rain gear. even if the rain ended where you are right now, you will need it, again, later on in the day quite possibly. six out of ten in your weather by the numbers. we have the heavier rain that had has moved toward jersey shore, atlantic city, cape may, delaware with that thunder around atlantic city as well. 71 degrees. it is still cloudy in philadelphia we expect a high of 85 degrees with pop up thunderstorms, throughout the the afternoon. we will get a from the shore, right into the office here's a live look right where the atlantic city expressway end and turns into the 42 freeway. there you go, already that delay from the ac x towards philadelphia with a gorgeous weekend. i took every advantage to stay down the shore. road are wet. little damp. here's a live lot at schuylkill in or out of the city right here near montgomery drive. stacked and packed on the vine street expressway, bum per to bumper here across town trying to get over in toward the vine street expressway, and maybe grab that first train out of 30th street station. the benny looking good working your way out of south jersey but only three lanes available for morning rush hour. we have a down tree right at martin luther king drive so anyone trying to come into the city, it is blocked at falls bridge, use kelly drive to work your way in to dunn town. travel times out of the suburbs 422, 202, so far, so good and jammo on i-95 southbound 16 miles an hour here we are calling all the way into that. back over to you. lets get to the northeast. >> police are investigating a home invasion in the holmesberg neighborhood. jenny joyce is at the scene now, jenny. >> reporter: good morning. we are on the 4700 block of oakmont street in holmesberg. police still out here investigating. police tell us two men entered a home through the back of the house and while inside the two suspects opened fire and shot the home owner multiple times in the back and shoulder. that person was transported to aria torresdale hospital. police remain on the scene investigating. at this point they are still looking for the shooters who remain on the loose. we are told that northeast detectives is in charge of this investigation. again, home owner shot after police say two men burst in his home early this morning. he was transported to aria torresdale. anyone with any information should call northeast detectives. mike and alex. >> so scary. 6:32. suv collide with the car killing the driver, and leaving the the passenger critically injured. >> police have the suv, they still need to find the driver of that suv, and steve is on the story, hi there, steve. >> reporter: mike, as we have learned recently as this summer when we had two fatal hit and runs involving two little boys, even when you find the car and find out who was driving it at the time that doesn't mean an arrest is imminent. that is the case again here. because maybe these stories are so often in the news that people have learned that it the is better to leave the scene rather than stay, or it is better to just get a lawyer first and fight the case as long as you can to avoid arrest and this happened at 10:30 last night long before the rain, so wet roads were not a factor. do you see street is still will dry so another deadly hit and run crash with the big suv that barreled in the small mazda sedan just pulling out of the parking lot at luzerne and i street. maybe the mazda had no clue what was coming through the intersection and could not avoid getting out of the way or moth pulling out of parking spot when it did and speed was a factor. the driver was killed. one passenger was hurt real bad. critical but stable at last report, from the hospital. police say that at least one person saw this accident and called police, and then told the dispatcher where the suv was going when it took off and the witness apparently able to follow the suv close enough to tell police not only where it was heading but where it ended up. they were able to find it fast on rising sun avenue just past midnight but minus the driver who parked and took off on foot. the suv, and now at the the i am pound lot, police well get a search warrant, as soon as the the judge signs it, and then they will go through it looking for fingerprints, dna, any other evidence, and, certainly, by now, since they have got the license plate and the registration, that they know who owns the the suv and that is the first call they always make thinking when were you driving, where write in the moments up to it. when they get these search warrant, mike, they sometimes if they figure out hot driver is, maybe get a search warrant about the phone record to see if they were either on the phone or give them an idea according to the pings to the cell phone towers where that person was both before and just after the crash as well. >> never thought of that interesting point. good job, steve. 6:35. fire crews battled a fire in north philadelphia overnight. >> blaze broke out just before 1:30 this morning in the building at oxford and north 25th streets, crews had to have the fire under control in 30 minutes. fire cries in pennsauken are investigating what caused this fire. flames broke out just after midnight at cooper river plaza apartments on north park drive. no one was hurt, either. >> some residents woke up to flattened tires where vandals went on the slashing spree. now they are looking for those suspects. detectives are handling reports of 18 vehicles damaged on a number of streets in the south philadelphia area they say it was on sat take morning as neighbors got ready for the day, they noticed the tires of their cars and other cars, had been slashed. >> that is a lot of crime. when you think about all of the people that they do this too, you know, it is very inconvenient for a lot of people. >> yes, inconvenient and costly. one resident says he has security cameras facing one of the cars punctured. he is await police to review that footage to find out hoist behind it. megan trainer is coming to our area today, where you can see her perform live. that would be fun. >> lets get sue, moving. >> about six hours every day, every 15 minutes or so. the the worst of the rain is over or is it? that is the question we will answer with that weather authority forecast, and it is coming up. are you a star? will you be the final american idol? >> this is a big deal. we're giving away here at fox a silver ticket. >> that is right that means a guarantied audition with producers. you can skip the first round. a a meet and greet with the judges. you get to meet j lo, harry conn nick junior. >> when are auditions august 2nd here in philadelphia. >> yes. >> but our audition toss get silver ticket will be this thursday july 30th, it will be during good day. go to my fox philly.com for more information. philly, we have to represent. you know we are a music city. it is a last american idol ever. we have to be part of this. >> wow. >> so we will judge you and then you get that silver ticket to meet the real judges. >> that is right. >> that is big. >> huge. >> megan trainor, she comes to the delaware state fair, today. >> ♪ >> yeah, you know her. she thinks years head liner. state fares kicks off friday. other concerts are canadian singer brian adam and josh turner brian adams straight from the the heart. >> i love state fares. >> yes. >> delaware state fair in had harrington they always get big names down there and it is, probably going to be looking at better later on in the day then it is right now. harrington is right about here and you can see it is raining right there right now. fuzz are going to the delaware state fair, wear some shoes that you don't care about because it will be a little bit on the muddy side but you'll have a good time. there is rain all along the coast, rain in sussex county, delaware but it has eased up a bit to the north of us. we will zoom in and we will show you where we're talking about right now. across the river in evesham, in tabernacle, tabernacle, and shamong, we have steady rain and much heavier rain along atlantic city, in margate, raining on lucy the elephant right now, in sea islecy i, avalon, all getting rain along jersey shore, avalon and cape may and some thunder and lightening heard in georgetown delaware. so how much rain will we get get, there could be a few isolated localized heavy downpours and at the end of the day we could get an inch and a half of rain here in philadelphia, maybe from that one soaking storm. 72 degrees in the city. in allentown right now. very muggy out there this morning. 65 degrees in mount pocono. we have 72 in wildwood. seventy in dover. in wilmington get your monday started. these your dew points, our measure of moisture and they are a lot higher then they were last week when we were enjoying that low humidity. so no more pleasant or refreshing. we are in the uncomfortable to oppressive range of humidity and we will remain that way. now as we look back over the weekend it did get hotter. 90 degrees on saturday. close to it on yesterday. and today we will stay in the mid 80's because of the clouds and the thunderstorms, but then, starting tomorrow, some dangerous heat and humidity, potentially, with heat index on tuesday and wednesday, in triple digits. so get ready for that for tomorrow and wednesday. by thursday, when our red hot phillies come back to town we have thunderstorms late in the day, not quite as hot on friday and that is, the last day of july, so first weekend of august looks pretty hot and humid as well, and that is also quite typical for summer time around these parts. the is there your weather authority forecast, still pretty gray out there, bob kelly. >> yes, unless you are watching us down the shore everybody else is pretty much seen the faucet get turned off here. live look at 422 interchange, time to make doughnuts crawling now from collegeville heading into kick of prussia road are damp. we are seeing slow downs. southbound heavy from cottman into girard. they have 27 minute trip all together. ben franklin bridge a quick backup here from the upside into downtown at eighth and vine and that delay continues across town, over towards 30th street station. we have talk about the delaware state fair, again, through this weekend right there the at race way. all that extra volume especially today along route 13 and route one. anyone coming back from the delaware beach these morning you are driving through red roads heading up from dover into wilmington. for the gang back from the new jersey beaches we are stacked and packed where it dumb presidents on the freeway. we typically tease that on a monday in the summertime. we have a down tree blocking the martin luther king drive right at the falls bridge. so anyone who typically uses mlk to come into philadelphia we will to have shoot over to the kelly drive to get your self into downtown this morning. mike and alex, back to you. get to wear neil armstrong's space suit is on the moon, you know, he went to the moon. >> where it was. >> where is it right now. >> i know it was on his body. >> it is on the moon. >> yeah. >> space museum. >> no in the broom closet somewhere. neil armstrong right boot the suit expedition is go for launch. >> thinks at the smithsonian, so, they have launched a kick starter campaign hoping to raise $500,000 to refurbish the space suit worn by first person worn on the moon. >> that is expensive dry cleaning. half million-dollar to refurbish a suit. >> it is not just any suit it is a space suit. >> i know. >> for all these years. >> first space suit ever on the moon. >> did they put the moth balls in it, maybe there are some holes. >> did you ever smell moth balls. >> it is not even 50 years old, one of the museum's most fragile pieces and just sitting in storage. >> in a closet. >> the campaign has raise $5.40000 with 23 days to go. it is hoping to raise 700,000 through the same thing, allen shepherd's,. >> and just went up and then came back down but still the first. >> that would be amazing. >> i can't believe it is in a closet. >> you would think it would be hanging somewhere. >> yes. >> i know when i was there, space camp, in alabama, and they used to let us go in the little capsule. >> yes, first oney never could have been a astronaut. >> i could not have handled that. >> those first space capsules. >> tiny. >> smaller than this desk. >> snoop dog was arrested in sweden over the weekend. >> he is not letting the incident pass quietly. he is making pretty serious claims about why he was pulled over by police after his concert. snoop documented it over three videos on his instagram. you see them here. after his show they were pulled over by two officers. police spokesmen says snoop was taken into custody because he quote seemed to be under the influence of narcotics. >> no. >> and snoop dog claimed it was an incident and case of racial profiling and vows never to perform in sweden again. >> okay. this is kind of bad news, over the weekend, joe jackson, reportedly suffered a stroke. the the father of the the late michael jackson and rest of the jackson's, was in brazil celebrating his eighty-seventh birthday, a party, and woke up the next day feeling dizzy and his vision was gone basically. sources tell tmz that doctors are running test and trying to decide when can come back to the you had anytime soon. he also suffers from diabetes. >> we are hoping he is okay. >> i am kate premiered on e entertainment television last night. of course, caitlin reveals herself to her family in an emotional episode. this is part of it. >> i will isolate myself from the world, on many, many, many occasions because i never felt like i fit in anywhere. i
