Friday night a big shore trip. Tomorrow during the day we will have folks heading to the shore and tailgater and concert goers. And then tomorrow during the day, eastbound schuylkill town to one lane from 6 00 to 2 00 that will cause major delays for anyone trying to get an early start to tailgate or head to the shore penndot will have to clean the drains out here between gladwynn and belmont. We had a funnel cloud that ripped through here in New Castle County just before 8 00 oclock yesterday evening take a look at the incredible damage it has caused. We are here where the funnel cloud ripped right through. It was about 30 feet off the ground, wind up to 80 miles an hour and you can see incredible damage. The it ripped the roof off some of these trailer homes here. You can see the damage on the ground there. As we pan over here, all this debris that has pick up, busted out, back window of that car over there we have talk to one gentlemen who says damage to his home is so bad it has been condemn. He cannot go back in. They had to go in and get their stuff. They are camping outlooking for a place to stay. Right here in this Mobile Home Park there are 50 family that live here all without power this morning. Some of them without homes. We had wires come down as well. A transformer came down right on to one of the homes here and landed right in the in middle of the living room were toll. Incredibly in one was hurt. We have video that we want to show thaw we got from the Delaware River Industrial Park where two buildings sustained heavy damage. You can imagine these are mobile homes in this mobil home park, and that Industry Park those are big strong, buildings. You can imagine power of the funnel cloud to be so heavily damaged. We have a roof ripped off, back wall ripped off, we are hearing more on that in a minute. Lets had hear from a gentlemen we spoke with who came back after going Grocery Shopping to find out that his house had been totally damaged. He very sadly lost one of his pets, his cat died because of the damage cause by this funnel cloud. Heres what he told us. It is all concrete inside. After that, it is pretty much water on the floor. Unaudible. It didnt damage a whole lot of things but blew a lot of things around. There was ant lot of limbs. It was enough to pick up the cat. Reporter you got your stuff out of the home. We got a handful of stuff. This is stuff we have to have. Like 250 worth of grocery we just got on ice and we came out here and got a bag of clothes and her walker and my oxygen tanks. We are camped out over here. Across the the way around the corn are we have an Industrial Park where two large commercial buildings have substantial wall collapses and no structural damage, but there is concrete walls and other walls and metal twisted and tore apart. And back out here live this morning you can still see people coming home, gathering their belongings. This family putting their belong initial to their car and it looks like they are part of this home here. It is one of several apartment buildings that have been condemned and people cant get back to live in their home. There has been a shelter set up at william penn Pen High School hosting families. If you just need somewhere to charge your phone this morning we know 3500 people here in New Castle County without power, according to the office of Emergency Management whom we just heard from there. The school bus booted outside of the West Philadelphia school was the talk of the neighborhood yesterday, a little investigation pointed to the reason, failure to pay outstanding tickets.
