The wave of computer glitches started early this morning with united airlines. The company temporarily grounded flights at all u. S. Airports createing a huge headache for travelers. Reporter iain this case took a twist when a 17yearold girl who Police Believe is responsible for striking the fatal blow against anita cotton came here to headquarters with her mother and her sister. But a few hours later she was alloweding to home. Just after 9 00 wednesday morning, a 17yearold girl, her mother and sister came to Police Headquarters to speak with homicide detectives about her alleged role in the stabbing death of 17yearold anita cotton. A few hours later she was releaseed. They were very cooperative. At this point in time she has been releaseed pending further investigations with the homicide detectives and also District Attorney office. Cotton the mother of a twoyearold daughter was stabbed once in the neck and killed early sunday morning. She was involved in a brawl between two groups of teenaged girls. When it turn deadly in the parking lot of this walgreens at broad and hun park. Police believe the killings stem from a fight on south street hours earlier. It was bad blood between the two groups. Fight started on south street. There was a fight in the neighborhood and ultimately led to a young lady getting killed. Reporter investigators say the two groups of girls left south street on the train and got into a second confrontation as they got off the broad street line. Anita was locked in a oneonone fight with the 17yearold girl which she was stabbed once in the neck. Weve gathered all the information, all the video and sent everything over to the das office and right now theyre declining to charge but well see where that may lead. We just praying for the best. Reporter sky fox over that foot chase. Investigators say the resident who does have a license to carry a gun actually chased the suspect through a neighborhood to this parking lot at station park. Thats where police say he went up shooting the suspect there. There was a number of requests for the suspect to get on the ground. Did he not comply with that. He was shot. He then got on the ground and Police Arrived shortly afterwards. Reporter now the suspect was shot in the arm and the hand. He is hospitalized at Abington Memorial Hospital with non nonlifethreatening injuries. The First AssistantDistrict Attorney telling me that they are working right now on a criminal complaint.
