Previous improvement work on the network has seen deep cleaning, the rebranding of shelters and station furniture, the relining of car park bays, repainting and renewing stair nosings, and cutting back overgrown vegetation. Today will see a range of works begin, including: Additional seating on Platform 4 Renewed station signage Toilet refurbishments New Changing places facility Cllr David A Bithell Lead Member Environment and Transport at Wrexham Council called it a “welcome investment at Wrexham General Station which is an important transport link and new improved facilities including recycling and cycle parking are welcomed”.
