What we know so far police were called for a shooting on farce drive knew newtown drive. Once they arrived they discovered a car had crashed not far from the scene there. They found a man inside who had been shot, later pronounced dead. No arrests announced. A welfare check yesteriay mornng and police had to force their y in to the house and found 51yearold jason reiff holding a gun. Authorities tried to talk to him but he later shot himself and police searched the home and found his wife ar45yeold lola also shot and killed. Neighbors who knew that couple say theyre shocked. Its heartbreaking to hear something so close to home. According to Court Documents the couple was in the process of divorcing. In fact, supposed to have a child custody hearing set for yesterday. That pair had small children w re in school at the time of the shooting. The family flying in to take care of those kids. Terrifying moments, meantime, atle an entary school in prince georges county, placed on lockdown while Police Responded to calls of an active shooter. Ricardo Joseph Campbell allegedly entered that school and started making threatens statements there. Witnesses tell us he apparently took off some clothes as he left the scene. Police latne lear the suspects grill lighter was mistaken for a gun and the school day was already over there but there was a small group of children in the building f an afterschool program. No one hurt and campbell later placed in custody. Reporter thisart was easier than the bitter pill our former news 4 colleague had to swallow two years ago when he first learned what he thought was a stomach flu was acally a foreboding diagnosis of perhaps the worlds most feared cancer. Almost everybody who gets diagnosed with pancreatic cancer still today is actually dieing of the disease. There are very few people we actually cure of the disease. Reporter the scan will determine if radiation treatment continued to work to sto the metastases that spread beyond the pancreas. Joe says this is the easy part. Its hard not to secondguess the outcome. They are hopeful to get good news this time because the doctor hadnt called. One time when the news wasnt so good he calmed immediately after the scan to let him mow what was showing. But this pass time he textedthat in itself is good. You know, every time a scan comes along, its a moment of truth. So its like i covered during my career a lot of trials. Its like waiting for the jury to come back with the verdict. There is incredible tension inou the crtroom when that jury walks back in to the room, beuseyou dont know what theyre going s ay. Good to see you. Officially good to see you.
