Within the last hours the board gave preliminarily proposal to do just that, give you a fare credit if you are inconvenienced by a 15 minutes or more. Many riders have been there, late to work because unexpected delays on the bus or rail. And many riders stopped using the system because of those delays. This ru trying to bring toes riders back. Refund to go to metro rail and bus. Some rules that have you to consider. Take a look here. Delays would have to be 15 minutes or more, applies to metro rail or bus. But to weekday rushhour trips only. And cap on the number of credits per week that a person could collect. That would be to cut down on fraud. Now the refund would not apply to snowy vents or if you are on a bus and got stuck in traffic, that wouldnt be a situation where you get a refund. We are talking about things like mechanical problems and other delays. And you would get that refund automatically, electronically. They would actually, metro would run an automatic read every night and figure out who was delayed by 15 minutes or moran automatically put that credit on your smart trip card.
