tan hotel sending black smoke over the strip. ffrps are looking for the cause. there are no reports of injuries. sad news in the search for two brothers who got into trouble swimming in the chesapeake bay. the brothers daniel and douglas brown are believed to have drowned and now the work begins to recover their bodies. they were swimming off cove point beach in lusby maryland. and they got tired after swimming against the tide. the boy who was with them made it back to shore and called the police. the brothers lived in lusbiand mechanicsville mechanicsville. a cab driver robbed after picking up a fare at metro maryland station. and the search is on for the teen-ager who committed the crime. darcy spencer shows us from takoma park that the teen did not act alone. >> reporter: the taxi driver picked up a 15 or 16-year-old teen-ager from the wheaton metro station and brought him here to the 11 houn block of linden block around 11:30 on friday night. when they got here, the teen told the cab driver he had to go to his apartment and ask him mom for the taxi fare and when he came back, instead of having the money, he brought pepper spray and pepper sprayed the cabby. the cabby resisted and at that point a couple of other teens came out and began to pepper spray him as well. at one point the cabby felt the hard metal object he believes was a gun and he stopped resisting and gave up his money. anyone with information about this robbery or who these teens were is asked to call police. in takoma park darcy spencer. news 4. we have learned the name of the young man murdered during a house party overnight. cody lacy died after being shot in mechanicsville. the st. mary's sheriff's office has not said what led up to the shooting. so far no arrests have been made. and a canvass near this bank looking for clues to a morning robbery. he robber implied he had a gun. no one saw the weapon but the robber got away with an unknown amount of cash. no one was hurt. memorials continue around southwest louisiana tonight after two people were killed and nine others wounded in that movie theater attack. well tonight police continue to search for evidence and the motive. as nbc's jay gray shows us investigators appear to be paying close attention to the gunman's journals and internet posts. >> it has broken our hearts. >> we cannot let the evil win. >> 11 times a bell sounded in lafayette today. once for each of the victims killed during the ambush at the grand theater on thursday. >> it was a touching thing for many people to come by and stop and pray and reflect and hug one another and share their thoughts. that is what helps us get through these types of things. >> reporter: a community struggling as police try to piece together how and why it happened. >> i don't know if we'll know 100% his reasons behind this. >> police continue to interview witnesses and the wounded and focused on journals and online posts from john russell houser who opened fire in the crowded theater before turning the gun on himself. >> we are analyzing that and cell phone records and things of that nature. >> and a community still grieving. jay gray nbc news. one of two virginia motorcyclists killed in north carolina two weeks ago was buried today. ken jefferson was one of six hit by an out of control truck as they work on a broken down bike on the side of the road. a virginia state trooper led a large group of bikers in a procession in jefferson's honor. right now crews in montgomery county are establishing new lanes of traffic at georgia and jefferson in wheaton. traffic is down to one lane on both roads during the construction. crews should finish by monday morning. and here is a live look out site on the beltway in prince george. a major project near ritchie marlboro could cause big delays this weekend. up to three lanes on the inner and outer loop could be closed until 5:00 a.m. monday. crews could stop traffic for up to 15 minutes at a time. well surlz appear -- surveillance appears to show a suspect grab something from a local home and casually stroll away. now investigators hope this clear video helps them get their man. police say a teen swiped his caseworker's car and led officers on a dangerous chase through city streets. find out how they were able to catch up. we do have rain chances this weekend after a beautiful saturday. we're a 13-year-old in milwaukee is probably not looking forward to his next meeting with his social worker. the last time he met with the social worker deputies say, he stole her car and an officer's dash camera caught the chase on video. the boy was arrested with four friends on thursday. the chase ended with deputies used on star to slow the car down. history in east africa today as president obama becomes the first president from america to visit kenya. his father's homeland. the kenya people government and leaders and relatives including his elderly step grandmother all welcoming the visit. earlier today the white house pledging more than a billion dollars in new economic commitments and they vowed to work together in the fight against terrorism. but president obama had some blunt words for kenya's track record on gay rights. kenya like many african countries outlaws homosexuality. >> i believe in treating people equally under the law and they are deserving of equal protection under the law and that the state should not discriminate against people based on their sexual orientation. >> on sunday, president obama will address the kenya people and then off to our past. news 4's derrick ward has more on what they are finding in what used to be called mt. calbert. >> charles town, the one time seat of prince george's county government in the late 1690s, buildings like this residents, shops and taverns lined the thoroughfare and the ground still yields traces. >> we have a hand made nail that could date anywhere from the 1600s. >> later after the seat moved to upper marlboro this was the site of a plantation. this tobacco field worked by servants and then later slaves, again the earth here yields relics of the time. >> these are ceramics of the early 1800s imported from europe. and these are spear points or projectile points from three to 5,000 years ago. >> so what kept this area attractive to human being for 10,000 years. part of the reason right outside of the window. that is the patuxent river. >> that gives you access to the markets in europe for the tobacco planters and resources like the wildlife fish, water fowl. >> digs like this are as close as we can come to a snapshot of life a century, ten centuries ago. >> we are able to learn about people not written about whether it is because they were in this case this is potentially the area of where we have slave quarters associated with a plantation house. >> this is a very important site for maryland history because it covers the whole continuum of history from current temperatures. topping out around 90 degrees. right now at 87 in washington. 84 in fredericksburg. 88 in manassas. so mid to upper 80s to around 90 degrees. and you may feel a sprinkle but we are dry and good into the overnight. so if you are heading out for a late night on this beautiful saturday, you are looking a-okay. and doing some late night growing. still looking good. and it is muggy. and there is a breeze picking up but temperatures will drop through the 80s at sun set, at 8:26. so again looking good through the evening. and we'll end up in the 70s tonight here in d.c. mid to upper 60s elsewhere. but you might want to shut the windows if you've been giving the air-conditioner a break because humidity is creeping in and it is creeping in overnight and then definitely around for tomorrow. so we'll start the time lapse early tomorrow morning. nothing to worry about. if you want to head to the pool, for a lunch it is nice outside but don't worry about storms until 4:00 or 5:00. then a storm will die out by the time we get through monday but a chance of storms from 4:00 to 5:00 through the late night hours and possibly into the early overnight hours before we get some clearing by monday morning. i don't think you'll have a wet commute on monday morning but on the way home you could have a wet commute and we could have thunderstorms on monday. monday is the wet day we'll see out there for the rest of the week. so here is the teams for -- the temperatures for tomorrow. the farm market looking good, but after 4:00 or 5:00 keep an eye to the sky. and it is hot and humid tomorrow. so the air temperature around 91 but it will feel warmer than that because of the humidity so it will feel like in the mid-90s. a great day for the pool. head in early. monday, rain early, before 6:00 a.m. and more showers and storms around 2:00 or 3:00. tuesday and wednesday looking good but hot and humid. and by the time we get to thursday and friday, another frontal system coming through. and again we'll have some showers and thunderstorms. guys. well still ahead the nats get a big boost to the lineup as they try to beat the iran keeps their nuclear facilities.
