Several members of the Philadelphia Fire Department were honored for taking the next step in their careers. The department held its promotion and awards ceremony today. The honors were handed out at the Performing Arts Center on temples campus. More than two dozen members were elevated in rank led today of course by commissioner adam thiel. Three firefighters were posthumously promoted including lieutenant kenneth green and gabriel lee. Matthew letourneau was promoted from lieutenant to captain. A 14yearold boys bedroom stocked with weapons from that a semi automatic to a shotgun, a revolver machetes even throwing knives all found in this teenaged boys room after he allegedly threatened to kill four of his fellow students at Uniontown Area High School saying he simply didnt like them. City and state police went to the boys home in henry Clay Township last night after they got a report from another student who says he overheard this threat on the school bus and even went so far as to record part of it. He indicated it would be extremely easy to sneak a gun into the school in his backpack. And he also indicated that he could use a sniper rifle from a distance or use a shotgun for mass casualties. He was arrested and taken to a juvenile Detention Center hes been charged with terroristic threats possession of a firearm by a minor and attempting to cause a catastrophe.
