Now, the National Weather service has extended the wind chill advisory. They were supposed to be expiring at noon tomorrow. Instead, theyve been extended until 10 oclock sunday morning and that wind chill warning continues until then in the poconos, so this dangerous cold will be lasting most of the weekend. So, tomorrow morning, the wind chills even a little bit more extreme in some parts of our region than this morning. The far northern suburbs, the lehigh valley, parts of berks county, the poconos, 15 to 30 degrees below zero. Most of our region dropping to 10 to 15 degrees below zero right around the coast still dangerous but not quite as harsh, five to 10 degrees below zero. So, the accuweather highlights will show you record lows are likely the next two nights. Best chance will be sunday morning. The frigid temperatures caused a water pipe to burst in a vacant house and sent water into the street. The result, a sheet of ice that froze around cars and encased the tires. Residents we talked to say they couldnt get to work and could barely stand up outside. The whole driveway from the house thats leaking the water all the way down to the corner. The top end is fine but from that house on down, its horrible. Residents say they called the Water Department which says the vacant home is on its list to shut off. A Chemical Spill prompted a hazmat response at Drexel University today. Firefighters saw some kind of smoke coming from the third floor of this building in the 200 block of south 33d street.
