Poconos it feels like 24, feels like 29 with the wind in philadelphia, 28 in wilmington and 27 degrees out there in lancaster. So you still need to bundle up but were not expecting those harsh cold temperatures today. And as you look at the satellite and radar whatever sunshine we see this morning it will quickly fade behind this cloud deck thats approaching from the west. This is a system that could swing through and bring wintry precipitation for some of us overnight. In the meantime its turning cloudy and chilly today. 31 degrees is the forecasted high, with the wind it will feel like the mid to upper 30s. Philadelphia police have made an arrest in a shooting that left two teenagers wounded in north philadelphia. Police were called for reports of gunfire at around 11 00 last night. When they arrived they found a 17yearold who had a gunshot wound to the leg. A 15yearold had suffered a graze wound to the and. Both were taken to Temple University hospital in stable condition. Police have taken one person into custody in connection with this shooting and he is expected spob charged. Police are trying to identify a man who was spolt in the shot in the eye overnight. It happened just after 1 00 this morning. The victim was rushed to the hospital in Critical Condition where he underwent surgery. Police have no suspects or motive for the shooting. A Delaware County is in shock and hoping a driver in a hit and run will come forward. A hardworking father of two was struck and skilled yesterday morning. The driver kept going. He then got out of his vehicle and police say a car hit him and kept going heading south on 95. Williams was pronounced dead on the scene by the medical examiner. A grieving mother has come forward to make a plea with the hope of finding the person who killed her daughter. Reporter when she was looking for pictures of her daughter for her funeral, she noticed something that made her smile. There was never nothing but this. And thats what everyone had said that her smile, her laugh, and they miss it so much. Reporter she says Deborah Gulliver was a 34yearold who was trying to find her place in life. On friday june 23rd she was out in the city dropping off applications and hanging out with friends until the Early Morning hours of saturday june 24th. Reporter in that small span of time after gulliver parted ways with her friends she was attacked police say she was stabbed more than 12 times and was found dead at the scene. Nothing was taken. Reporter the city of philadelphia is offering up to 20,000 in reward money for the arrest and conviction for the person responsible. As we look at the satellite an radar we have a little bit of cloud cover starting to sneak in from the southwest and this is going to be the trend over the next few hours. Maybe we see an hour or twos worth of sun but we see these clouds increase from southwest to northeast in advance of the next system that should sneak in here overnight tonight. Its a moisture starved system. Were only talking about patchy drizzle or a spotty shower but its still a little bit of moisture thats going to move in here. Fire forced a family into the cold night air in the parkside section overnight. A 63yearold woman in a wheelchair was res tued from her burning home just after midnight. A 66yearold man was also rescued along with the family dogs on the second floor. It took just 10 minutes to bring the fire under control. The American Red Cross is helping a total of four people displaced by the blaze. The instigation. Upper darby police are talking to a driver sho plowed his car. The drivers nissan rammed the vehicl after going out of control. The driver was treated at scene for minor injuries. So far police have not filed charges and have not indicated why the car went out of control. In california, more evacuations have been ordered in fire ravaged areas of los angeles. The socalled thomas fire is now the Third Largest wild fire in california history, costing more than 100 million. You can see some rain through memphis pushing northward into st. Louis eventually into cincinnati. Its going to run into this doemg of High Pressure here where it is very dry a lot is going to get eaten up. But some of it will survive the journey. With the colder temperatures moving in tonight, some of it could be in the form of frozen precipitation. Today is dry, the evening for the most part is dry. Then we get into the midnight hour and thats when a couple of showers are possible for the city of philadelphia, points south and east, north and west, especially north of the pennsylvania turnpike. By 4 00 a. M. Its still precipitating here north and west. As we get into the morning commute from 7 00 to 9 00 all of that is long gone all that is long gone and by afternoon its really nice with temperatures up into the mid to upper 40s and it turns really mild by the time we get into tuesday. Most of next week is going to a lot better than we saw last week. The jet stream will lift to the north. All that cold air retreats back into canada and it will turn mild. Theyre going to become variable overnight with a spotty shower in the city north and east. And speaking of areas north and west, this is what were looking at right now. There is a new warning from the Better Business bureau about computer scams. People are now posing as tech support online and convincing people to pay to fix a problem they dont really have. Firewall and your Antivirus Protection on your computer. So youre safe, right . Well, not quite. A new report from the Better Business bureau says theres been an alarming uptick in people victimized by computer scams. Thieves posing as technicians claiming they can Fix Computers when in fact theres nothing to fix. Their scare tactics make people believe they have to act immediately and anyone is a target. 29yearold amy fell victim to the scam on her microsoft pc just month ago. A popup claimed her computer was infected with a virus. If i exited out of the popup, i would lose all of my data on my hard drive, so i called the number which said they were a microsoft partner so i didnt think twice about calling the number. Reporter she then gave them permission to gain control of her computer and son the fake technician convinced her to pay 150 to fix the problem. I had this gut feeling that something wasnt quite right. So i googled microsoft partner and i found out that they were a scam. Reporter the Better Business bureau says popup emails similar to this one are sent to victims. This is so common that i think its a matter for all of us not whether were going to be contacted by a tech support scam, but when. Reporter microsoft reports receiving 12,000 complaints every month. Whenever you receive an unsolicited phone call or see a popup on your computer. The big question at this point is will that spill into the plains or will it press east into the mid atlantic and the north east part of the United States. Right now scenario number one suggests all the cold goes out into the plains and temperatures are fairly mild. But the second scenario shows that arctic air pressing down to the south in the mid atlantic and the North Eastern part of the United States turn cold right on christmas eve, Christmas Day right through new years eve and new years day. An area of low pressure is going to develop here. So if that Boundary Line is this like, its mild, everything would be rain. But if that kwoeld air really starts to press and the boundary sets up right here, all of a sudden the cold air takes over and it could possibly be snow. Well have to wait and see what happens. This is more than a week away but it keeps showing up. It could be interesting. All eyes on Christmas Day. Sixers star ben simmonds is normally a star on the court.
