alcohol. vernon odom is live outside of city hall with the latest. >> reporter: good afternoon sara today is city council's last meeting for 2017. that is why they are trying to pack a lot of measures for passage or turn them down today here in city hall including a measure that affects 230 stop and go store here in town. >> lots of tension in city council today as black lives matter activities and asian owners talk to each other. many say they exploit the poor in the incity by selling beer and pot and crack pipes. many on city council want to join with regulators to crack down on the stores including restrooms and seating. >> most of these restaurants or establishment. i won't call them restaurants they don't sell food they sell beer and liquor by the shot. medicine, allergy medicine you can convert them to products that get you high. and pipe used to smoke crack. and a measure in the proposed regulations to crack down on the bullet proof glass for stop and goes to run them out of the low income high crime neighborhoods. now we have to choose between living or make a living and that is it. if we want to continue the business we have only one option. you know and i know the whole and 36. and melting the snow when the sun is out. and hitting in areas can you get the snow. and 38 in cape may. there say wind blowing and nothing like the 40 miles per hour gusts that drove the windchills down to the teens, a 13 miles per hour breeze in philadelphia. easier to take and 10 to 20 is your range today. windchill making it feel 24. if you had plans to be outside make sure you noticed headlights off the road and found the car had slid down on embankment. it appears that the driver lost control on the slippery roads and the drive ever was taken to the hospital with injuries. music and the mastermind of the deal making it a move to complete with netflix. >> it beefs up what disney can or offer when they go live in 2018. and disney acquired prop lar creators like marvel and another man during a robby in newcastle and happened on freedom trail last night. three masked men were seen running when a 22-year-old man was shot in the back and his cell phone was stolen and the pirates are striking more frequently and how homeowners are fighting back. a bizarre scene played out on a virginia highway, police say that 32-year-old jose flores went on a violent rampage after ramming into two other vehicles. another driver captured it on cell phone video. flores was shirtless and went after the drivers and tried to punch one of them and then completely undressed and banged on other vehicles. flores was eventually arrested by police. authorities in houston texas are looking for a robber that was targeted nearly a dozen stores while people were doing their holiday shopping and police say he is not shy about being captured on surveillance video and the suspect pulled off 11 robberies in 13 days and hit two or three stores in one day and police believe it's dangerous because he walked into the store and headed to the counter and he threated to shoot the employee if he or she does to the hand over the money from the cash register and in one robbery the suspect saw the gun in the suspect's waist band. and packages arriving at a fast pace for the holiday season and thieves have their eyes on your deliveries. here is more. >> reporter: this morning new and an alert neighbor spotted a porch pirate taking packages from neighbors and they searched the thief's home and what they found surprised even them. >> we saw a christmas tree in the far corner and boxes underneath the christmas tree and all boxes from amazon and the officers arrested the man and delivered the packages to their rightful owners. >> a man in tacoma, washington, booby trapped a package with shotgun blanks, here is one -- and here is another -- and police in three ohio towns have had enough. they are actually accepting packages for the neighborhood this month. but what can you do? ship packages to your work or have neighbors sign for them. >> and having a security camera on the porch doesn't hurt. >> and some are letting you go online and select a delivery time so perhaps you can be home to get the package. well, a new york man made his bride's wedding evening more unforgettable and made him dress for the big day himself. adam is an art teacher by day and at stormtracker 6 live double scan shows you that, as we look outside. we have a fair amount of sunshine pouring down over the delaware river and the battleship new jersey and the river traffic in the foreground and the traffic from knowledge as well. not a bad standpoint from how it looks but how does it feel? warm enough to get melting but tonight zipping down to freezing and could be a refreeze for anything that doesn't manage to dry out. and on friday, flurries and not much more than that. the temperature is cold 33 degrees and winds from the north none west. 13 miles per hour. and i would say today is brisk but yesterday is bone chillingly cold. but today is not as bad by a long shot. 28 now in allentown and 30 in lancaster and 30 in trenton and getting up past freezing at 33 and 34 respectfully. and down to 33 in cape may at the noon hour. how much snow did we get? we fell within the 1 to 2 inch range at the tail end of the forecast period. 1.4 inches in philadelphia and up closer to 2 in allen ton and 1.4 in doylestown and 1 to 1.5 in south jersey and williamstown 1.8 inches and some points closer to 1. a minor somewhat nuisance snow. here at the this point you see the cloud cover here and there across the region and fairly bright overall. and temperatures getting a few degrees above freezing and allentown 35 and 34 in reading and a shot of 38 in philadelphia. and 40 in wilmington and millville and milder as you head down south to cape may, 44 on the beach there. here is what we expect. sunshine overall and clouds mixing in and 26 by 4:00 and by 6:00 probably down closer to the freezing mark in most neighborhoods and falling into the 20s from there. we get some melding with the sun this afternoon and some of that is on the sidewalks that are cleared and haven't been treated and can freeze up again. you have to be careful about that, driving around particularly in neighborhoods. and we dip in the morning and get down into the low 20s and some neighborhoods in the upper teens and in the afternoon bouncing back to 84 and we expect mostly cloudy skies and we are drawing in cooler air from the west. there could be a flurry around for the afternoon and evening and a brief snow shower in spots, but it doesn't look bad. your exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast breezy and chilly and high of 38 today and sunshine mixing with clouds. and tomorrow cloudy and cold. a couple of flurries can't be ruled out and high of 34. and weekend mostly cloudy and breezy and sunday 42 and a slight chance of a late day or night rain or wet snow shower. right now it doesn't look bad on the models but we'll keep you posted and then envelope week cloudy on monday and a slight chance of a shower especially in the afternoon 49 degree, if we saw anything early in the morning on monday. wet snow and sleet and right now it doesn't look like much on the models, 52 and partly sunny and milder than that. and a front comes through and 44 on wednesday with clouds and rain and wet snow at times on wednesday. >> okay thank you david. a long wait is finally over, star wars the last jedi hits theaters today. the film picks up where "the force
