>> kirk: chuck's got good form tonight. the head official. >> chris: the referee? are you talking about chuck chuck? >> kirk: i'm sorry. chris. chris is doing a good job tonight leading the team. >> chris: he is one of the younger officials. hasn't been a referee that long. a high-profile assignment tonight. so wimbush who has thrown a couple of touchdowns doesn't get that one there. he goes with the two interceptions. on third and 10. wimbush escaping. slipping. still fighting and now he is going to be hit. finally just the reason and enough is enough with this dancing around. i'm just going if this game started whether or not they had an opportunity to play next week against usc. i'm sure they found out. scores have been talked about. washington ends up winning. washington state gets knocked off and you and i have been around david shaw a long time. kind of took the baton from jim harbaugh and has taken his program to an even different level. the consistency is remarkable what he has been able to build here. if you are a stanford fan, you have so much to be proud of. not only the results on the field, but the way they get it done. >> chris: perfectly said. i couldn't add anything to that, except shaw did, and this is meaningful for him to become the all-time leading stanford coach. he surpassed pop warner, and he is going to up his personal record to 13-0 at home against non-conference teams, and stanford will make it six in a row here against eight top ten teams. this may not be the loudest and most imposing place, but it's a tough place to come in and win. >> kirk: and like a lot of coach that is win consistently, he has found a model in recruiting that works for him. offensive linemen, quarterbacks, tight ends, running backs, wide receivers, linebackers, defensive linemen, safeties. he knows how to recruit to his system and it works. and it's a lot of fun to watch. very different from everything you watch all saturday. >> chris: a smile were talking about what we were thankful for, and i lead the blessing on that day, and i talked about being thankful for the things that we have and the things that we don't have. we had a rough road. after game three, everyone shovelled dirt on us. there was no band wagon and we came back and won eight out of nine. eight out of nine. toughness, heart. we had guys go down. we had guys get injured and had to change the quarterback. the guys just keep fighting and i love them. >> maria: and now the washington/washington state game has gone to double zeros and you're going to the pac-12 championship for the first time since 2015. what does that mean? >> god bless you all and the business that you are in. we all try to guess what's going to happen. this team is going to go to the playoffs, and this team will go to the championship. these are 18 to 22-year-old kids, and you have to play the game. our guys kept fighting. we earned ore way back to the championship game. we had to find a way to rest, and prepare for a very good usc team. >> maria: thank you for your time, coach. >> thank you. >> chris: little time to rest. a friday night game is an interesting element to this. especially since the other time will have a bye week. costello and love getting love from david shaw as the cardinal gather in the corner and send off another season undefeated at home this year. a 21-point fourth quarter for the cardinal to put away the fighting irish here. they give the preparations to usc for the championship game. >> kirk: close. that's what opened the game. stanford was able to take advantage of it. two big nights from both of these young men. >> chris: from our producer, director, and thanks to our crew working so hard on thanksgiving week. we'll see you on dr. pepper championship game. clemson and miami this time slot next week. the ford wrap-up show, to cassidy hubbarth. >> thanks, chris. welcome to the ford wrap-up show. i'm cassidy hubbarth. while stanford gets two wins tonight, with their berth thanks to washington, auburn is trying to become the first team ever to make the playoff with two losses. first, they need to take down the number one
