Hundreds gathered to get their heart pumping today. The annual turkey trot got underway at Chestnut Hill college near german town avenue. Hundreds of walkers and runners came out to take part. It started as a Family Tradition with james mcguire. The trot has raised 2. 35 million for facetoface that helps the thousands of families and provides social services for people in need. There was a lot of generosity from a mountain of meals in Atlantic City. It was at the Atlantic City rescue mission as chefs prepared thanksgiving dinner for 1,000 homeless and needy people. Another 100 was served by the Salvation Army. And by comcast speck accord and the a. C. Convention center and the Salvation Army served up enough meals to serve 4,000 and they were taken to go. Allowing the families to go back home and enjoy the food with their families in the confident of their own homes. And Salvation Army and staff and 120 volunteers made this all possible today.
