School pretty much. Reporter a statement from the archdiocese of philadelphia said roman was placed on lockdown because of general threats against the safety of the School Community on social media. This all ties back to the murder of two teens in south philadelphia on tuesday evening. Sal dinubile and Caleer Miller both 16 were shot and killed at the intersection of south 12th and ritner. Philadelphia police say they are looking for a person of interest in the killings, 16yearold Brandon Olivieri. Early this Morning Police say at least eight bullets were fired into olivieris home on the 1600 block of south juniper street. No one was hurt but neighbors and olivieris parents were left shaken. Then according to police, someone posted a photo of olivieri on social media saying he was headed to the area of Roman Catholic high school and posed a threat. The school was placed on lockdown around 11 30 a. M. Police say they investigated and found the threat to be unfounded. Still, parents found it unsettling. Youre always concerned. The school did the right thing. They let the parents know locked the school down in a timely manner. Reporter now the archdiocese also says it placed hallahan on lockdown for a brief time earlier today but the lockdown was lifted and classes continued as schedule. Philadelphia police do not believe any of the students were in any danger today because of these threats. Police also say this is an active investigation. Police are trying to figure out what caused a crash involving a school bus here in southwest philadelphia. There were no students on the bus when it collided with a truck and a car. It happened at 6 30 this morning near the intersection of 61st street and passyunk avenue. Police say the 52yearold bus driver and a 55yearold woman in the car were both taken to area hospitals. They are expected to survive their injuries. After being held up for months, state funding is finally on its way to penn state temple and three other state universities. Governor tom wolf signed bills today that direct 650 million to those institutions. The money was held up amid pennsylvanias budget crisis. The governor has not said yet what hell do with other pieces of the budget puzzle that were approved by lawmakers this week including a massive gambling expansion bill. Well, sunday marks the five Year Anniversary of super storm sandy which slammed into new jersey and caused 29 billion in damage. Remember that rollercoaster that washed into the atlantic . It was one of the iconic pictures from the storm. The casino pier where it sat has been replaced and new rides installed. Just north in ortley beach which was considered ground zero for the storm, a beach replenishment project shored up the coastline. 365,000 buildings were damaged or destroyed. 70yearold Linda Roberts of seaside park just recently moved back into her home after fighting her way through endless paperwork and red tape she told us. Officials say 37yearold radee prince opened fire at advanced Granite Solutions his place of work last wednesday. Prince then allegedly drove to wilmington and shot an acquaintance at a car dealership. Prince remains behind bars tonight in delaware. Heres a different Vantage Point of that southbound boulevard accident and it is causing plenty of slowing. As you come southbound from broad street through this point approaching the schuylkill. Northbound is also locked up but that is just normal afternoon volume over there. Also have another crash on another chunk of route one, city avenue right by the overbrook train station and we have one earlier this afternoon on the northeast extension of the turnpike, northbound approaching quakertown, thats now off to the side so luckily speeds are starting to increase at least a little bit coming north of lansdale. On the eastwest turnpike its closing overnight in bucks county tonight and tomorrow night. If youre out and about i would use 95 or route one instead. And in delaware theres a southbound accident on 95 past 202 the concorde pike slowing there in both directions because northbound they have the construction at talley road.
