up some of that right now. temperatures are not bad. 60 degrees in allentown, 66 currently in trenton. 67 degrees in philadelphia. and in wilmington and 70 degrees in cape may. as we go through the day, it's not going to be as warm as yesterday. we won't be in the 80's. we will be in the 70's. by noon up to 72. a high today of about 75 degrees and i expect to hit that kind of early in the day, say, 1:30 or 2 o'clock and then by 3 o'clock down to 73 and it's down into the 60's after that. there is the chance of occasional patch of drizzle or a patchy shower here or there. most of that will be centered in the late morning and afternoon hours, maybe into the evening as well but i can't rule out something popping up here or there this morning. if you're dressing the kids for school, most of them will have a dry wait on the bus stop this morning with 59 degrees and some outlying suburbs, 66 in center city but by the way home, there is the chance that some of you encounter a shower so maybe some rain gear in the book bag along with the books this morning. karen, we do have a real up and down rollercoaster ride in temperatures coming up in that seven day. i'll have it for you coming up. >> all right, dave. the schuylkill expressway westbound was shut down overnight. that construction is clear. now we're looking live at the schuylkill here at south street and you can see no problems here. all the lanes reopened but westbound will shut down again overnight and the crews will return again at 9 o'clock tonight. we'll watch for that construction. we had an accident this morning in towamencin on sumneytown pike. that has cleared. things are moving better here as well as the northeast extension. we had an accident that popped up and quickly cleared out. this is limerick township right on linfield trap road so traffic is moving better there. let's go outside and show you 422 here at 23. overnight construction westbound is still out there blocking the right lane. but that should be clear within another half hour. the eastbound one is cleared so things are moving a little better right now at least in one direction of 422. in bellmawr, camden county, construction blocks up to two lanes until 6 o'clock this morning and that's 295 southbound right near 168, so watch for those crews blocking two lanes. that will slow you down, matt. >> thanks karen. police say an innocent man is among the victims of tipples of a triple shooting in point breeze. jeanette reyes is live at south detectives with more on the search for the shooters. jeanette. >> reporter: well, matt, officers happened to be on routine patrol not far from where the shooting happened and they were able to respond in just seconds and while they weren't able to stop the shooter, we do know a set of eyes happened to capture this shooting and might help police make an arrest. just past 11:00 tuesday night police on patrol heard multiple gunshots nearby. in seconds they arrived to the 1900 block of south bonsall street to find two men on the ground suffering from from gunst wounds. a 33-year-old shot in the knee and a 49-year-old shot in both legs. they would later find a 65-year-old man shot in the ankle. eight shell casings were recovered nearby. we confirmed this morning that the last victim was simply a bystander caught in the crossfire. all three men were rushed to area hospitals and are in stable condition at this hour. we are told that the area near the scene is lined with businesses and as a result, police say they found several functioning surveillance cameras, one of which captured the entire shooting including images of the two shooters running away. >> you see two males running east on mifflin from the 1900 block of bonsall street, that they are believed to be the shooters. one of them is wearing all dark clothing. the other male is wearing lighter colored clothing. but they were both seen running east on mifflin street from bonsall. >> reporter: and at this point police don't have a motive. in fact, they're not sure whether these two victims -- or three, rather, were the intended target. they're hoping that the surveillance camera footage as well as some witness accounts might help them make an arrest. reporting live at south detectives, jeanette reyes channel6 "action news." >> jeanette thank you for that. new developments in california where wildfires claimed at least 17 miles with with -- lives and over 200 people still unaccounted for. more than 2,000 homes and businesses are destroyed and as far as a cause, crews don't have an answer yet. they say they are focusing instead on saving lives first and that an investigation can come later. >> it is now 5:35. and the coatesville area school district and police are investigating a possible incident of racial intimidation at the high school. members of the cross country team found a dark skinned doll hanging by a tie fashioned as a noose inside a locker room. the superintendent addressed the discovery at last night's school board meeting. she said the district will not tolerate hate and plans to discipline any student or staff member found to be involved. new from our delaware news room, 32 neglected animals are now recovering at the spca. animal welfare officials raided a property in seaford sussex county on sunday. they say 43 other dogs there were already dead. charges will be filed in the case. the brandywine valley spca is asking for donations to help care for the surviving animals. >> president trump is heading to pennsylvania's capitol today to talk about tax reform. the president will speak at the harrisburg air national guard base later this evening. the gop backed reform stream lines the tax code and calls for cuts. it's also expected to increase the national debt. "action news" will have a crew in harrisburg for today's event. now late last night the president shot down staff shakeup rumors on twitter. this time trained on his chief of staff. he wrote "the fake news is at it again. this time trying to hurt one of the finest people i know general john kelly by saying he will soon be fired. the story is totally made up by the dishonest media. the chief is doing a fantastic job for me and more importantly for the u.s.a. ." trump is arriving to a vanity fair report that called his relationship with kelly irreparable. >> candidates for governor of new jersey faced off in their first debate an event seen here live on 6abc. kim guadagno and phil murphy went head to head in newark last night. the debate was moderated by our own jim gardner. the candidates covered topics from marijuana and immigration to property taxes. guadagno, the current lieutenant governor says murphy's plan to fully fund schools will cost taxpayers $9 billion. >> the people of new jersey are taxed enough. we need to provide them real property tax relief and we need to do it now. >> choices have been made by governor christie and the lieutenant governor every step of the way. and they've chosen to give out tax incentives to large corporations in our state for almost -- for over $8 billion. all of that has come at the expense of the middle class. >> the second and final televised debate will be held on october 18th. the gubernatorial election is on november 7th. >> time now to turn to dave murphy. don't need the umbrella this morning. this afternoon maybe a little bit different. >> yeah, a few sprinkles and showers around. in some spots this morning but i think on the bus stop we're mostly okay. storm tracker6 live double scan shows you a big blob of green. that's all ground clutter. west of reading that's a light shower there up by pottsville as well. most of the area is dry. as we take a look outside we have sky6 and there you see some cloud cover over the commodore barry bridge. we'll probably see some sunny breaks this morning but overall it's a mostly cloudy day. and we are looking at those sprinkles and showers maybe a little drizzle at times. 67 degrees is your current temperature inly philadelphia. your dewpoints at 59. winds out of the east-northeast at 8 miles per hour and the ocean temperature 72 degrees off atlantic city. future tracker6 shows you those showers especially down south this morning, it does look like most of this stuff is going to be fairly low impact as we go through the morning and into the early afternoon. a couple of hits from some drizzle and maybe a couple of pop-up showers. then pie by 3 o'clock some neighborhoods potentially seeing a little bit more of this and more of the same by 6 o'clock. obviously not a washout today but some light nuisance showers here or there, the kind of stuff that, yeah, if the kids are caught in one maybe they would like a water resistant hat or jacket. by 11 o'clock looks like we're mainly drying out with most of the shower activity to the north although some additional sprinkles showers and even some drizzle possible into tomorrow morning. overall temperatures not as warm as they were over the last couple of days. 66 degrees by 8 o'clock. 68 by 10 o'clock and by noon, 72. by 3 o'clock 73. your high of 75 is probably going to be around 1:30 or 2 o'clock and then we cloud up and a couple showers might help lower that temperature. really depends on how much rain we get. we could wind up being warmer later in the day if the rain is not that big of a deal. either way by 6 o'clock i expect to be back down into the 60's and we continue to sync from there. high temperatures, 71 in allentown, 72 in reading, 74 in trenton, 77 in wilmington and millville and 73 down in cape may. tomorrow 66 degrees, cooler with an area of low pressure riding by to the south and pushing cool air in off the ocean. there will also be some more drizzle at times, especially in the morning tomorrow as that low passes us by many the only thing doing in the tropics is tropical storm ophelia and she's way out there. we're way over here. that's probably going to be a fish storm but we'll keep our eyes on it. your exclusive accuweather 7-day, 75 is today's high mostly cloudy some sprinkles and showers at times. tomorrow cloudy with some drizzle, 66 and then 69 mostly cloudy on friday. we get into the weekend though and it's another surge of warm air with yet another ridge of high pressure. a high of 80 on saturday. warmer, maybe a bit more humid during that temple game. and then we get into sunday and 82 with a nighttime shower possible. back into the 70's monday and by tuesday, 69. you just -- it's pretty easy to beat back those 80's this time of year 23. you see the construction crews out there. they had eastbound shut down here. that has reopened but westbound is still closed. the right lane is still blocked for about another 15 minutes or so. they're supposed to reopen at 6:00 a.m. we also had closures overnight on 422 westbound at route 100 was shut down. it's reopened now. tonight the construction is going to be eastbound so they're going to shut down eastbound 422 at route 100 and crews will return at 9 o'clock tonight to do that. let's hop into new jersey as promised. a live look at cherry hill. kind of quiet out there. few people waking up on route 70 at kings highway. we had some construction there but all lanes have reopened so route 70 moving pretty nicely right now. we've been watching for some rain to develop. hasn't happened yet. as we look at storm tracker6 live 3-d you can see the moisture we're dealing with as an upper level low moves through our area today. we're expecting rain a little later on this morning into the afternoon hours at times. currently we have 3-mile visibility at millville. the rest of the area is fine but we did notice some low clouds there. 59 degrees in quakertown and pottstown. doesn't feel too bad out there. it's not terribly humid. 67 degrees in center city. it's certainly warm, though. 62 in hammonton. we're nearly 70 in dover, delaware right now. headed up to 75, mostly cloudy skies, watching for some of those showers to develop so not in the 80's like yesterday but still pretty warm, tam. >> okay, thank you, karen. new this morning, top two officers at the u.s.s. john mccain have been relieved of their duties. the military says the commander and executive officer exercised poor leadership of the ship's training program. 10 u.s. sailors including a native of cherry hill new jersey were killed when the war ship collided with an oil tanker this past summer in august. the cause is still under investigation. but the navy has concluded that the disaster could have been prevented. >> harvey weinstein has lost his job since sexual misconduct claims dropped last week and now his wife is leaving him. fashion designer georgine in a chapman announced she's separating from the hollywood producesser. oscar winners gywneth paltrow and angelina jolie are among the actresses accusing weinstein of sexual harassment. according to the new yorker at least 11 women have come forward with claims including three who say weinstein raped them. the magazine also released audio of a 2015 police sting. weinstein was never charged. a spokesperson for weinstein says he believed the relationships were consensual and that he is in counseling and hoping for a second chance from hollywood. actor and former nfl player terry crews tweeted that the weinstein scandal is giving him ptsd. crews claims a male film executive whom he didn't name groped him at an event last year. crews said he let it happen over fear of losing his job. the actor also tweeted that he wants other sexual assault victims to know they are not alone. >> drexel university has placed one of its professors on administrative leave both for his safety and the safety of the entire university community. professor george chuck -- ciccariello mar voiced his opinions. his account states his views do not reflect the university. a freshman said he should not be punished for his opinion. >> i really believe like having the first amendment right is essentially and i believe he should say what he likes on twitter even though i do not agree with it. >> the university
