On the bus stop this morning, its not too bad for the kids. Weve got a little bit of humidity factor going on out there but 66 degrees in the suburbs and 69 in center city. Neither of those numbers all that bad. In terms of visibility so far so good in most spots. We have some gray showing up on the map closer to the shore 2mile visibility in toms river and down to one near the airport in Atlantic City. A major jam as the schuylkill westbound was shut down at 30th street for construction. Things are looking a lot better but crews will return again tonight, tomorrow night through thursday night theyre shutting the schuylkill down from 11 00 p. M. To 5 00 a. M. So theyre restricting traffic starting at 9 00 and then completely shutting the schuylkill westbound at 30th street for the overnight hours the next few nights. Burlington bristol bridge overnight construction has cleared. Traffic is moving a lot better right there but we have issues on 95 northbound at 141. Construction blocks all lanes on 95 northbound. They say theyre going to be out there for another half an hour. Stick to 295 instead. In wilmington two lanes are blocked on 495 northbound right near edgemoor road. Lets go outside and check the roosevelt boulevard extension. Nice and quiet out there. Thats your southbound traffic moving leisurely as you head towards the schuylkill, no problems and again the construction on the schuylkill cleared, matt. Okay, karen, thank you. Breaking this morning, three men sitting outside became targets of gunfire in north philadelphia overnight. More than a dozen bullets were fired and the man who died in the onslaught was found by neighbors in the bushes. Reporter police are still trying to figure out exactly what happened here and what the motive was behind this triple shooting. Right now the crime scene unit is on the scene here. Police have been on the scene for hours overnight investigating this homicide triple shooting. You can see police well, this happened shortly before 1 00 a. M. On the 600 block of perth place and police have been here sings. Spring Garden Apartments is the location. Police originally thought this was a double shooting. Arriving officers found two men in the courtyard. They both had been shot. A 58yearold man was hit in the leg and hip. Hes in stable condition at hahnemann. The second man who is 26 was shot in the hip and is in critical condition. While police were here investigating a neighbor discovered a third victim a man in his late 20s or early 30s. He was lying in the bushes between buildings. He was shot in the back. Police rushed him to hahnemann where he was pronounced dead shortly before 2 00 a. M. Investigators are speaking with his family at the hospital. Police say more than a dozen shots were fired from two separate weapons but that witnesses only described one shooter so he may have had two guns. Police are hoping Surveillance Footage helps. Found 14 spent shell casings and they are two separate size caliber so we know two semi automatic weapons were used. At this time from witnesses were only being told that there was one shooter. The one shooter may have had two guns. Reporter and theres not a detailed description of that shooter. Witnesses only told police he was wearing dark clothing. He was wearing a mask and he took off on foot in an unknown direction. There are some surveillance cameras in the area so police are hoping to be able to pull some footage that can help in this investigation. Weve got new information about some breaking news that we brought you to yesterday morning. Police have arrested two suspects for slashing the tire on an ambulance during a chaotic scene early monday morning in feltonville. Authorities have arrested jesus borns and edward rios. Police say it started when boring and rios snatched a purse on the 400 block of east wyoming avenue. Another man chased after them but then the suspects turned on him and each man had a knife. The man under attack jumped into a philadelphia medic unit to escape but the suspects still allegedly stabbed him in the leg and punctured the ambulances tire. A dozen gunshots were fired along a south philadelphia street. One of those bullets hitting a teenager. Police rushed the 19yearold to the hospital in stable condition. The gunfire erupted around 12 30 this morning on the 1900 block of south cross keys street. Investigators say dozens of bullets were fired. One hit the victim and another bullet hit the roof of a car. So far no word on the suspects or on a motive. Now to the humanitarian disaster unfolding in the u. S. Territory of puerto rico. The islands governor is begging for help saying most of the nearly 3. 5 million survivors do not have enough food, fuel, fresh water or electricity. Hurricane maria blew through nearly a week ago and neighborhoods are still flooded. The storm ripped hundreds of homes to sleds and now mudslides are leaving homes teetering on the edge. About 8,000 people have been evacuated because of fears dams near their home could collapse. All lanes were blocked there but the crews are still out here overnight and we can see theyre blocking the right lane on the schuylkill westbound near 202 and theyre now saying they could possibly be there as late as 8 00 a. M. So thats new. Usually they clear early and this would be causing some pretty big problems if it did stay out there until 8 00 a. M. You can see even at this early hour its a little slow with that right lane being blocked on the schuylkill westbound at 202. We have an accident investigation going on right now. This is happening in pike creek new castle county, route seven at new linden hill road. So, watch for that. They had to shut down the road and youll stick to route 41 as your alternate for that one. Over here in new castle county, right on i95 at 141, the overnight construction blocking all lanes until 5 30 on i95. So everybodys being diverted off onto 295 instead. On the waze app we found someone reporting south 26th street in the city a car kind of stopped right there slowing things down a little. Weve been watching for a little bit of patchy fog. Not a major issue. Certainly at Philadelphia International airport, 10mile visibility no problem but along the coast were as low as 1 mile in Atlantic City so be careful as youre headed out.
