massive fire at a warehouse overnight. the fire was reported on the 1700 block of water street at 2:20 a.m. flames were shooting through the roof of the one-story building. at this time it is unclear what was inside the warehouse or what caused the blaze. two men were arrested after gunshots were fired near police officers in north philadelphia. police say two officers were taking a report for a stolen cell phone at 1st and north street at 10:00 p.m. while there, the officers heard the shots. an investigation is underway to determine if the shots were fired at the officers. 9:05 a.m., banks in philadelphia's chinatown sections are under high alert because of recent robberies. police blerve the same person -- believe the same person is responsible for three of them. annie mccormick has details on the man police are looking for. >> reporter: authorities are investigating if this man is behind multiple bank robberies in recent weeks. surveillance video captured a man during two recent robberies, one on saturday, september 9, 1:20 p.m. and monday the 19th before 12:30 p.m. the suspect a black male in his 20s or 30s, 5'10" with a thin build was seen with a hat with philadelphia written on it and sunglasses with gold siding. police have not released the surveillance photos, but he has the description as the man with the gold sunglasses. chinatown businesses seep the wanted posters up. authorities consider him armed and dangerous. >> people are talking about it. especially, you know, chinatown is not just a business area. it is a residence area. we have community members living here. so many community people doesn't speak english in this area, i'm concerned about them. >> reporter: annie mccormick channel 6 "action news." >> our delaware newsroom, more than a dozen workers were treated for explorer at a dupont facility this weekend, 18 workers were overcome by fumes at the dupont experimental station in talleyville yesterday. they are decontaminated and transported to a local hospital. they are all in stable condition. more devastation in mexico, a 6.1 magnitude earthquake shook the country again. it is the second quake to hit the country in less than a week. we learned two people were killed. researchers say the latest earthquake was the aftershock of the 8.2 magnitude quake the area experienced september 7. search and rescue operations following the quake continue. people along the mid atlantic coast are getting ready for mummer mummer. more than 15,000 people are in shelters while federal aid make its way to the islands of puerto rico. 11 ships brought water and generators and food. more help is expected to arrive in the coming days. happening today, organizers of the 2017 philadelphia puerto rican day parade tell "action it runs into the heat pump high and it will make a right hand turn. 530 miles per hour southeast of cape hatteras, 110 miles per hour winds moving north at 9, turns toward the coast and boom, makes the right hand turn as it hits the heat pump high that should save the eastern seaboard from direct hit from hurricane maria. so by friday morning, this thing is well offshore and weakens into a category one storm. we'll see impacts from the storm. the delaware beaches, jersey shore, but it should not be close to what show aproduced. produced. by the middle of the week, waves 5 to 8 feet. beach erosion is possible, but not as bad as jose. you could probably take the impacts of jose and cut that in half, that's what we'll see with maria. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, high that's coming in today tomorrow and tuesday and wednesday. the high drifts northwest as marie i can't gets closer to the coast, it gets pushed out to sea. as a matter of fact this is a track of 88. 7:00 p.m. in the evening, clear skies, but we're at a very warm and uncomfortable 85. the only issue that we'll see today will be this. we continue to see the high risk for rip current. jersey shore from seaside heights to the delaware beaches we'll see the huge waves batter the beach and we'll deal with the rough surf conditions and dangerous rip currents. just when you thought things were calming down for the jersey shore jose is pulling away. here comes maria. 530 miles per hour southeast of cape hatteras. we have five a foot waves on the beaches for the jersey shore and delaware beaches. the wave heights increase up to 30 and 35 feet off the coast of the carolinas. all this wave action is lifting north over the next few days. iran tested a new ballistic missile hours after showing it off at a military parade. they said it's capable of carrying multiple warheads and has a range of 1200 miles. that means it could reach israel and saudi arabia. president trump tweeted a response to the test criticizing the nuclear deal with iran saying it's not much of afternon afternoon -- of an agreement. >> reporter: this morning there's more tension with north korea after the president's tweeted this overnight. just heard foreign minister of north korea speak at u.n. if he echos thoughts of little rocket man they won't be around much longer. this tweet fired after the attack, trump will be held totally responsible. he called president trump a members of the jurily deranged person full of megle mania. the insults between trump and kim jong-un are getting worse not suspect into custody in connection with a hit-and-run in philadelphia. it happened on north broad street and glenwood avenue. a 47-year-old man was crossing the treat when he -- street whes hit by the car. the vehicle did not stop. he died at temple university hospital. a wilmington man was arrested following a house fire in bear, delaware, police have charged michael williams with first degree arson and endangerment. it caused $200,000 worth of damage. a 30-year-old woman was shot while sitting on her front porch. police responded to the shooting on the 5600 block of stokes street. "action news" learned the victim was the homeowner's niece, she was rushed to einstein where she was listed in stable condition. police have not given any details if there was an arrest. shots were fired b street at 8:00 p.m. two men were taken to the hospital, no word on their condition or motive for the shooting. a manhunt is underway in the chinatown section of philadelphia for a violent repeat bank robber. authorities are investigating whether the man in the pictures is behind the string of robberies in the recent weeks. the images were captured at the bank on north 10th street. the mostly sunny skies. today warm be high temperatures in the 90s. speaking of temperatures, 77 degrees, the normal high for this time of the year which occurs around 4:00 p.m. is 75. we're above that. dewpoints climbing in the 50s yesterday, nice and comfortable now in the low 60s it will top out at 65 later today and get higher and higher monday and tuesday, winds are calm, pressure reading is starting to rise. 70 across the board low 70s to the west. mid 70s for the i-95 corridor. dover are 72. cape may, 74. millville, 74. we're not tracking much of anything over the next few days, outside of hurricane maria because high pressure is firmly in control and that means blue skies. the big blue h is the weather feature responsible for all the heat we'll see over the next few days, it's also responsible for kicking the storm out of to sea. if the high was not here, it would have been made a beeline to the carolina coast and putting the hurricane south of the chesapeake bay. this high as it strengthens over the mid atlantic will force maria out to sea which is good news because we have waves up to 40 feet off the coast of cape hatteras five hundred miles east of the cape hatteras. we're seeing 5 to 7-foot waves along the jersey shore and delaware beaches which is from jose which continues to pull away. when you thought things were calming down here comes hurricane maria. ment waters will get very, very rough again. here's latest satellite and radar on hurricane maria it's a huge storm you can the wynfield is 2 to 300 miles. tropical storm force winds. the hurricane force winds are in the brighter shade of white they extend 80 miles from the center of circulation and move north/northwest 5 to 10 miles per hour. all forecast models, tropical forecast model hook this thing out to sea and spare the east coast of the united states from hatteras to nantucket. when you will see with the storm, large waves and dangerous rip currents and beach erosion, well not see rain or cloud cover because it will be hooking out to sea 300 miles to the southeast. we talked about the wave heights you can see is how they get closer to the coast, these are the five to ten foot waves, philadelphia responded to a massive fire at a warehouse that happened overnight take a look at this scene, the fire was reported on the 1700 block of water street at 2:20 a.m. you can see the flames were shooting through the roof of the one-story building. no injuries were reported. at this time it is unclear what was inside of that warehouse or what caused the fire. police arrested a man after gunshots were fired near police officers in north philadelphia. police say two officers were taking a report of a stolen cell phone 13th and york streets at 10:00 p.m. while there officers say they heard shots being fire. police returned fire, neither had man was hit and ran from the scene. police recovered a gun, right now an investigation underway to determine if the shots were being fired at the office. banks in philadelphia's chinatown neighborhood are on alert following a string of recent robberies. investigators believe the same person is responsible for three of them. annie mccormick has details on the man for whom police are now searching. >> reporter: authorities are investigating fi man if this man is behind malt robberies in chinatown in recent weeks. surveillance video captured a man with a knife on north 10th street. one on saturday, september 9th after 1:20 p.m. and another monday 19th at 12:30 p.m. the suspect a blackmailed in his 20 os -- a black male in his 20 20s or 30s was seen wearing a distinctive hat with philadelphia on it and sunglasses with gold siding. he was armed with a knife and hit midday. >> nothing happened later. >> reporter: chinatown looking into a heartless mind of convenience. dozens of grave markers disappeared this week. nora muchanic has the story. >> reporter: jimmy johnson said it may be as low as you can go stealing bronze markers from the graves of veterans. officials estimate 200 of them were plucked from the graves throughout the property. >> these people fight for our country and freedom and they disgraced. >> it's basically grave robbing they are taking their identity from the graves. >> reporter: there are military graves in mount holly that go back to the civil war. the theives pull the american flags out of
