But were going to get you going right now with a look at your accuweather with dave murphy and karen rogers is helping with your commute. Good morning. Good morning all. And we are off to a pretty comfortable start with a little bit of a cool breeze here on the terrace. It does look like were going get some early sunshine and thats despite the fact that we still have a big storm right off the coast. Tropical storm jose, it is no longer a hurricane but it is still rotating off the coast as expected. Dishing some cloud bands in today, maybe a little brief sprinkle or shower, most of the current stuff is drifting off to the west of the region. And still causing some issues at the shore. Now, the winds from this storm are down. The latest gusts we have is in beach haven and its only 12 Miles Per Hour. So, obviously winds not as much of an issue but we still have problems in the water. Five to 7foot breakers on the beach will continue issues with rip currents and heavy surf and we also have a coastal Flood Warning until 2 oclock this afternoon. The big ticket time period would be between 8 oclock and 9 oclock. Thats high tide. Moderate flooding is possible this morning. After that it will be minor flooding today and tonight. 69 degrees in allentown and reading, 71 degrees in philadelphia. 68 in millville. 71 in cape may. A little bit humid. Pretty comfortable overall and this afternoon if youre not in the ocean water, you got a great day. By noon, 81. By 3 oclock, 84. Thats your high. That warm pattern continues and increases as we go through the seven day, karen. More on that and the latest on Hurricane Maria. All right dave. Just as you were talking i was watching a disabled vehicle leave the scene here. Traffic moving a lot better on i95. This is the ramp from i95 southbound to the vine street expressway. We had a disabled vehicle in the left lane. Looks like penndot just pulled it out of there. Traffic still a little slow but that should get better in a couple minutes. On the big picture mostly the green traffic flow and pretty good speeds. No big accidents today, blue route, schuylkill, i95, disabled vehicle just cleared. Phils play tonight at 7 05 and our construction on the boulevard northbound has cleared. We still have the construction here in south philadelphia. Looking outside live this is the schuylkill expressway at passyunk and we can see crews out there blocking the right lane so just one lane getting by eastbound on the schuylkill as you head towards broad street pretty light volume so this one is not causing a delay yet. But here on the turnpike southbound past exit eight, if youre up in east windsor, mercer county, youve got to watch for speeds of 18 miles an hour on the turnpike. Thats a big problem here. The two right lanes are blocked with an accident, matt and tam. Thank you, karen. Developing this morning, rescues continue at this hour for survivors injured in that massive 7. 1 magnitude earthquake that struck central mexico. They are searching through the rubble and debris for people who may be under those buildings after some structures flattened to the ground like they were made out of nothing but paper. Overnight we learned more than 200 people have died, more than half of them in the capitol city of mexico city. That includes 21 children who died when their School Building fell on top of them. Theres no official count on the damage to homes and buildings because right now really the focus is mainly on trying to free and save people who may be trapped in those toppled buildings. The videos on social media show tables and light fix commerce shaking in restaurants and street signs and traffic lights quivering outside. The earthquake comes two weeks after there was another strong earthquake hitting its country and in that 12 weeks ago it killed near 100 people. Were already at 71 degrees in philadelphia. And that dewpoints actually dipping a little bit.
