there, shirtless and bloody after he and his two friends took down a gunman on a paris-bound train. >> if anybody would have gotten shot it would have been spencer for sure. >> reporter: the national guardsman shot the video after he stone and their friend knocked the attacker unconscious. the friends were on the 300-mile train ride from amsterdam to paris. business chris normman was sitting in time to hold the guy down, he has been identified as ayoub el-khazzani 26 years sold, he was carrying an assault rifle and knife and ammo. the presidents of the united states and france praising the young men, the guys themselves turning the spotlight on stone who charged in first and suffered knife wounds and immediately turned to help a passenger injured and bleeding out. >> if anybody was police officer killed in a crash. his pick up truck lost control on henry avenue in roxborough. in a solemn tradition, officers escorted his body from the hospital. >> nydia is off, i'm eva pilgrim along with alicia vitarelli. trish hartman is in tioga-nicetown with more on the officer, trish. >> reporter: well, eva, it is a sad morning at the 39th district where this officer was an assigned officer. many of his co-workers were at the hospital learning he was killed in an off-duty crash. >> reporter: the cab was left mangle after the crash that police say killed an off-duty police officer. the sergeant lost control of the truck on henry avenue near dupont in the city's roxborough section. the officer was rushed to einstein where he was pronounced dead. his body was escorted by police to the hospital by the medical examiner's office. investigators spent the night at the scene examining the wreckage, trying to determine a calls, no word on how fast he was driving when he lost control or if he was wearing a seat belt. in march, sergeant robert wilson iii was shot and killed in the line of duty always he tried to stop a robbery in progress at a north philadelphia game stop. now, police have not released the sergeant's name, because the family is in the process of being notified. again, police say the officer was off duty when the crash happened ascertain not on his way west, a couple of clouds off the coast, the sun will share the skies with clouds and high temperatures top out in the mid 80s. by lunchtime, 82. 3:00 p.m., 85 and by 6:00 p.m., 84. we're forecasting a high of 86 degrees normally we should be at 85. now i showed you earlier what's going on to the west. we have temperatures down to the 30s and 40s across the high plains and your jet stream will looks like over the next week. it stays warm today and tomorrow, with temperatures close to 90 degrees, look at this, from tuesday on, as a matter of fact we have four, five, maybe six straight days of temperatures between 82 and 85. lots of sunshine and no humidity. so it looks really, really nice by the second half of the week. we'll talk about that i'll have the another look at the seven-day forecast when i see you in just a bit. >> new this morning, a teenage boy was rushed to the hospital after being shot in the chest at his home. the action cam was on the scene 3 # hundred block of -- 3300 block of marn highway in new jersey. police have not indicated if they uncovered motives or suspects. plans for a possible presidential run for joe biden. the vice president met with a senator calling for a federal investigation. a grand jury decided not to charge the officers. jeff chirico has more. >> i feel that justice was not served, my son does not have justice. i don't have no peace. >> reporter: surrounded by family members and community activists shala reid under investigators to look into the death of jerome reid the grand jury decided not to file charges against the police officers who shot and killed the police officer during a traffic stop. >> we believe that they presented a weak case for there not to be an indictment. in the south jersey times instead of seeking justice, the prosecutor acted more as a defense attorney for the two officers so justify their actions. >> reporter: the officers shot reid in december after he divide orders by stepping out of the car whiz hands raised, it was recorded by the patrol car dash cam. a gun was removed from the glove compartment. >> the police took the gun out of the car, what was jerome going to do shoot him with empty handles. >> the officers thought he had a weapon and take a weapon out of their hands. he was previously arrest on charges of resisting arrest and served prison time for shooting state troppers. albert kelly called for the public to accept the grand jury decision. >> i hope it puts a period at the end the sentence. some people's lives who were hoping for a different outcome will be upset. >>
