Government inspections say in the last three years at least 165 nursing home residents were hospitalized or died because of blood thinner errors. Others studies suggest there are thousands of injuries each year that are not reported. Critics say these errors often dont get enough attention because the drugs have many benefits but they say Nursing Homes need to do a better job at overseeing dosages and checking levels. And heres something interesting. For many women toenail polish is a must have especially during the summer. But foot experts say that you shouldnt keep it on all summer long. They say dyes from the polish can soak into the nail and dry it out. Then make it easier for bacteria and other organisms to invade and open the door for long term problems. They recommend a few weeks on and a few weeks off for toenail polish. If you take the polish off and the nail looks chalky or dry then there are some fixes. I recommend putting something even as simple as Vitamin E Oil on the nail plate rubbing it in and do a gentle filing if you need to, to see if we cant get the nail to start becoming more healthy. The doctor says you should avoid putting new polish on until a discolored nail grows out and an Oil Treatment every time you take polish off can also help. Sharrie we learn something new every day.
