"action news" reporter walter perez is live at the fire company, with the full story tonight. walter? >> reporter: well, rick, when you consider all of the things that could have gone wrong the child could have landed on his head or something jagged, he could have been killed, but with a little good fortune and fast moving first responders like the old saying goes, all is well that end well. the fire chief david james says, that it was one of those calls, that sends chills down your spine. >> a five-year old child fell 50 feet down in a well with 2-foot of water in it. >> reporter: emergency crew as arrived to learn that the five-year old had been standing on top of the sealed well in the backyard of his home on swamp road in buckingham. the cover buckled and the little boy fell in. as you can see, from the photos taken from the rescue first responders wasted no time. >> at that time my deputy chief made his way down the well via rope, and checked the patient out real quick. we lowered down a ladder and he assisted the child on carrying him up the the ladder and passing him up to the medics. the child was conscious alert, extremely upset. >> reporter: youngster with his parents were transported to st. mary's medical center to be checked out. amaze leg he was released a few hours later after being treated for nothing more than minor bumps and bruises. chief james says he is thanking his lucky stars that this story has a happy ending. >> it is one of those calls where we are amazed that this kid just went through what he went through and i mean beside a scratch on his leg he was in good shape. in case you are wondering from the photos that was a towel they put over youngster's head to keep him from breathing debris in from the rescue. we did speak with the child's parents a short time ago this he were too distraught to speak on camera. they did say their child is doing just fine. they on the other hand will need two days to fully recover. reporting live, walter perez channel have "action news" rick? >> walter, thank you. a child in haverford township delaware county was rush to the hospital tonight. youngster was hit by a car just before 7:00 on burlington road near devon road. no word yet, on the child's condition. well, there has been no shortage of reaction nationwide concerning bill cosby's stunning admission from ten years ago that he bought drugs to use on women he wanted to have sex with. sharrie williams is live from our "action news" satellite center with more from the fall out tonight sharrie. >> reporter: rick, these are statements that cosby made under oath a decade ago under the belief that these word would never be made public. remember, this was supposed to be a sealed document with you it is now, the closest cosby has come to admitting that he took advantage of women. after repeatedly sidestepping questions, about sexual assault allegations. >> no, no we don't answer that. >> reporter: now a possible admission from bill cosby revealed cosby was asked which you got the quaaludes was it in your mind you were going to use these quaaludes for young woman that you wanted to have sex with? cosby's answer was yes. and the statements were made during a deposition in a civil lawsuit, filed by andrea constand in 2005. at that time she was 31 years old and a temple university employee. bruce castor was the montgomery county district attorney at the time and oversaw constand's criminal allegation that is cosby drugged and raped her. >> we always operated under the theory that he had drugged, andrea constan, theory and proof are obviously different things. >> reporter: castor explained there was not enough evidence to prosecute cosby criminally but the only way to get cosby to take a deposition under oath in the civil court was to agree that he would not be charged, and that castor says, was strategy to get cosby on the record. >> to clear him from the possibility of an arrest, and enable andrea constand then to use the civil courts, to get some measure of punishment against cosby, which she whatnot have been able to do if the threat of a prosecution was still hanging over his head. >> reporter: cosby later settled that case for an undisclosed amount. more than two dozen women made similar claims against cosby attorney gloria alred represent several cosby accusers and she's glad that these documents have been made public. >> they are an admission make no mistake about it and that is why we will make every effort to use it in our lawsuit. >> reporter: the judge who ruled to make these documents public said that it was a serious allegation, that was part of his thinking and also said that it was significant interest to the public. at this point we know bill cosby thank you. he has become number one spokesperson for subway sandwiches but jared fogle will no longer be associated with the restaurant. subway suspended ties with him in the wake of the federal investigation. early this morning fbi agents raided his home in indiana removing electronics from the property. two months ago the director of fogle's foundation was arrested on child pornography charges. fogle became a subway spokesperson after shedding 245-pound, more than 15 years ago, by eating their sandwiches. a private school administrators in chester county is accused of inappropriate liz touching a student. six two-year old george simmons of wilmington served as head of the school at the the concept school in thornbury township. the victim told police that simmons repeatedly sent explicit texts e-mails and phone calls, the victim was 14 years old at the time and said he then became physical. simmons faces corruption of the minor and indecent assault charges. he has been fired from his job and currently free on bail. a delaware correctional officer accused of having sexual relation was an inmate turned himself in today. investigators determined that fred way the third was involved in at least two incident, involving the 27 year-old female inmate weigh is charged with two counts of sexual relationness a detention facility and one count of official misconduct. he was index. this is first time this month we have been in the 90's but ninth day this year with temperatures in the 90's, which is on par with an average summer. dew points tell the story. when you have dew points, at or above 70 that is that oppressive humidity. we are close to that in philadelphia. the dew point is 69 degrees. millville 72. dover is a tropical air mass, dew point is currently 75 degrees. so there is a lot of moisture in the atmosphere and add that with the temperature and it still feels like 84 degrees in philadelphia it is warm, very humid night and this is an approaching 59th street. because of the demolition work today nearby stores were not allowed to reopen. peco was on the scene working to redirect power to the stores. a store clerk was stabbed to death this morning in atlantic city. it was only his second day on the job. twenty-nine year-old peter fairy was working at cedar market this morning when a man walk up and then suddenly stab him in the neck. the store owner says customers ran out as suspect chased other employees around the store. they managed to lock the front door and run out of the back. the the suspect kicked out the door and was crossing adriatic avenue as a police officer was arriving. that office are fired multiple shots, killing the suspect. >> he was on vacation with his family and he called my brother, the guy says, you need to work, i come down, yesterday, started and it happened today. just his luck, it could have been anybody else, it could have been me, it could have been somebody else but it just happened to be him. >> neighbors say the suspect is a men drug addict had recently been in and out of jail and was in the taking his medications. police made an arrest in the kensington shooting that injured seven people last month. thirty-six year-old dennis tindallah allegedly got in the altercation with three men in the 700 block of east hilton street. he left and returned with another man who opened fire. police say tindal gave the shooter the gun that was used and is there a $10,000 reward for information that leads police to that gunman. the murders of three people in the lehigh valley over the weekend are being considered random, with no apparent motive, according to investigators. three men, including robert jordan and todd west, have been arrested, and charged in the deadly shootings. the authorities believe that the trio randomly opened fire at a car in allentown sunday morning, killing fran sees ramos and trever gray. police say minutes earlier the men killed 22-year old corry ketrow in easton. two suspects are a accused of robbing three people in allentown on monday. northampton and lehigh county authorities say the public is in longer in danger now that these men have been caught. >> these shootings which appeared to be unconnected you know, random, that these are the three actors involved, so, you know work them off the streets, we're not aware of anyone else involved. >> all three suspects are being held, without bail, tonight. a delaware woman stole a fire department pickup truck ingot in the accident before being arrested. authorities say four three-year old woman stole the vehicle from the new castle county police headquarters parking lot moments later she was then involved in an accident and fled the scene. a few hours after that police spotted her in hockessin where they were able to apprehend her. the family of the woman killed when she was hit by a duck boat in chinatown has filed a lawsuit. sixty-eight year-old elizabeth carniki from beaumont, texas was killed back in may. investigators determined that she was looking down at an electronic device when she walk in the street against the light and was struck and killed. her family alleged that the duck boat had very big blind spots, something that the operator failed to navigate, the family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the company. five years ago today another duck boat tragedy this one in the water. duck boat collided with a barge in the middle of the delaware river killing two people. tourist boat, hi was disable was run down by a barge being pushed by a tugboat operator who was distract by phone calls, and his lap top. thirty-seven people went in the water, two hungarian students died. matthew devlin the man driving the tugboat was sentenced to a year in prison. for the the second time in three days there has been a fire in the wilmington, swim club. someone set fire to the sign at silver side swim club the damage was minor. over the weekend arsonist for two victims of the midair collision. an f-16 fighter jet slammed into a sesna the air force pilot was able to eject in time but no one in the sesna survived. debris was scattered no one was injury on the ground. ntsb is investigating the accident. a republican senator from south carolina described it as a kick in the teeth. he was just one of three senators who voted against removing the confederate flag from the state house. debate in the house is expected to begin tomorrow. the senate bill would remove confederate flag as soon as the governor signs it. republican governor nicki haley urged lawmakers to remove the flag following last month's shooting, nine african americans were gunned down during a bible study group. today the suspect dylann roof was indicted on three new charges of attempted murder. he is charged with nine counts of murder. fellow authorities have not said if they will pursue hate crime charges against him as well. illegal immigrant charged with killing a san francisco woman has pled not guilty to murder. francisco sanchez was arraigned today, he is accused of shooting three two-year old katherine, last week, while she was walking with her father. sanchez has been deported five times, and he admits he came to the it i knowing it is a sanctuary city and he would not be persued by law enforcement. he is being held on five million-dollar
