Woman reports assault in Leelanau County after meeting man on dating app Updated Jan 12, 2021; Facebook Share LEELANAU COUNTY, MI -- A 22-year-old Elmwood Township man was charged with three counts of criminal sexual conduct Monday after he allegedly assaulted a woman at his home last week. According to a post on the Leelanau County Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page, Avery Schaub is being held on $100,000 bond at the Leelanau County Jail. The charges stem from a Jan. 7 meeting where Schaub and a 22-year-old woman allegedly gathered at his home after meeting on a dating app. Police were called to Munson Hospital that same night to meet with the woman who said she was sexually assaulted by Schaub after they met.
