Officers were called to the intersection of Douglas and Greenwood, just west of Hydraulic, around 9:20 p.m. Saturday. They found a victim who was taken to an area hospital. Police found that the woman was crossing the street, leaving a business in the 100 block of South Greenwood, and she was hit by a northbound car that was believed to be traveling at a high rate of speed. The car was later found unoccupied at a hotel at 36th Street North and Rock Road.
