Woman, 77, identified as victim in fatal Flint Township fire

FLINT TOWNSHIP, MI -- A 77-year-old woman killed in a Flint Township house fire Sunday morning has been identified by authorities.
The Flint Township Fire Department has identified the victim of a Sunday, Feb. 28 house fire as 77-year-old Berita Jones, of Flint Township.
Firefighters responded to the scene in the 3200 block of Southgate Drive shortly after 8 a.m. Sunday, according to a fire department news release.
Upon arrival, crews found heavy smoke from the first floor windows of the home.
Firefighters entered the house and found high heat and heavy smoke conditions on the main floor.
