sure up the building. they're going to have to put support under the second floor of the building. it's being left exposed. the news 4 iteam found that the bus's operator, trans-express, has more than 20 non-serious violations. all of the violations over the last two years. they did put out a statement tonight, saying their thoughts and prayers are with the victims and that they are cooperating fully with investigators. checkey beckford, news 4 new york. >> thank you. new tonight, one day after he was hit in the head by debris from a cash, indy driver justin wilson has died. wilson was injured during yesterday's race at the pocono raceway in pennsylvania. debris from another car involved in a crash flew through the air and hit wilson in the head around turn one. his car veered to a wall. he was air lifted to the hospital where he died tonight. the last indy driver to die from an on-track accident was dan welden in 2011. wilson was 37 years old. we are tracking thundershowers in our area, and there could be more rain ahead. here's our meteorologist janice huff. >> thank you. we have a cold front moving towards the area tonight. there had been a flood advisory in etchfect ffect for some of the counties. that's cancelled. this storm has weakened, so there's no longer a threat of flooding across the area. we may see more of the activity in the morning. doesn't look like much now, but it is expected to fire up more showers and a few thunderstorms later on tonight skperl and early in the morning. it'll move east. from the city south, especially central and southern new jersey, may see some of the downpours around 6:00 a.m. around 8:00, the jersey shore may see a few. one or two around the city and parts of long island, as well. everything shifts to the east around 9:00. starts to dry to the west, but you might see one or two storms popping up over southern westchester county around noon. after that, things are better and it dries out. from the tropics, we have a new tropical storm. it's erica. i'll have the latest coming up in a few minutes. >> janice, thank you. you can track the rain with our news 4 new york app. track the news 4 logo in the corner, see the latest forecasts, interactive radar and directions on how you can submit your own weather video. the news 4 new york app is available in the apple app store. a teenager's parents bailed their son out of jail. the teen used a pellet gun to shoot a police officer assigned to guard mayor bill de blasio. >> reporter: chuck, that teen accused of shooting an officer with a pellet gun left the courthouse silently. his attorney told the judge, it was all an accident. still, tonight, we're hearing from other folks, victims of pellet gun shootings in that same neighborhood, on the same block. outside the courtroom, the attorney for the 19-year-old was memorandum. mum. the teen was quiet, too. in front of the judge, the attorney shed light on the shooting. the mayor's security detail was shot. he shot a pellet or bb gun at the female officer. the attorney called it an accidental discharge. the teen tried to hide the gun and ran through a service elevator, even dodging police on the street. his father bailed him out after bond was reduced to $10,000. he is charged with reckless endangerment among other charges. a friend and family member stood up for the teen's character. anything at all you want to tell us about him? >> really only one thing -- >> reporter: barb, who lives ne ar the shooting, shared her story over the phone. >> we heard a pop. my husband and daughter noticed the window was shattered. >> reporter: just last week in the same neighborhood, her windows were shot out by a pellet gun. we got this picture. >> two random acts, both apposite the mansion?
