stories that is really hard to wrap your head around. a baby ever fell out of a moving vehicle and nobody noticed, or somebody intentionally left it on the side of the road. a woman claimed to be this child's mother. she realized it was her child after seeing the picture on social media. she drove down this dead-end street and noticed something in the road. >> it looked like it was a child seat. maybe it was just a seat in the street. >> he quickly discover the unthinkable. >> it was a child in the seat. >> when he got out of his car he found the baby carrier right here. next to it was a diaper bag. next to that was the baby's formula. >> we do not know if this child was tossed out of the vehicle. sam: it is unclear what the woman who claimed to be the a b's mother told police. >> was this the -- was the child in the custody of the mother when it was hurt. sam: the good news is that this child is in good condition. she is in custody of social services as anne arundel tries to piece together this bizarre story. kellye: breaking right now. come take a close look at your screen. police need your help finding this man. jasper spires. they say that he killed somebody on a metro platform. they found kevin sutherland dead . sutherland recently graduated from american university. 30 minutes ago, abc 7 got in touch with sutherland's employer. they tell us -- a gorgeous day to round out the holiday weekend. as you get back to work tomorrow, you might be dealing with some rain. meteorologist: we are tracking heat and humidity. we will start with some rain shower activity moving our way. a cluster of storms south of washington. this is more towards hampton roads. this has been coming from an upper-level system. we will have to get closer before this comes into washington. a couple of isolated showers today. warm and humid. 87 is the high temperature. the real-time temperature is around 80 degrees. it is hotter when you factor in the humidity. we are expecting a possible break in the humidity. we expect rain overnight that could affect the commute tomorrow. there might be a second round by tomorrow evening. after the rainier monday to start the work week, we will cover it all in our complete forecast. kellye: cleaning up after the they party. crews were on the national mall to clean up after last night's national fireworks. thousands of people packed the mall for the fireworks display that went off without a hitch. in loudoun county, mishandled fireworks started a higher. everyone inside made it out safely. police from nine departments battled the blaze. the fireworks were not properly extinguished and placed in the garage where they reignited. family and friends mourning the death of a young man from maine. he died after trying to launch a firework on the top of his head. he was drinking and celebrating with friends. he put a tube on top of his head and set it off. this is the first fatality in maine since the state legalized fireworks in 2012. two dead and three are missing and kentucky after a barge they were celebrating on sank. the search for survivors will wrap up after tonight. an update to a story we first brought you last night on abc seven. all 13 people hurt in a boat explosion are expected to recovered. this happen near solomons island. the boat went up in a flash flyer -- flash fire. they believe that there was a spark in the engine compartment. right now world cup fever is in full wing. the national harbor is one place across the u.s. filling up with soccer fans. the crowd looks like they are ready. >> if you cannot be in vancouver , you might as well be in national harbor. they have a national -- large jumbotron. there was an artificial field under all of those chairs. the fans say that they are inspired by this team. they want them to shoot for their third world cup tonight. yes, the president gave a shout out, the vice president, too. nothing shows the evolution of women soccer more than kids. >> a woman this is the last game at the world cup. >> she just goes straight at it. >> she got the most goals out of anybody. reporter: the final is to be shown all over the d.c. area. >> i'm a girl, so having a woman in the finals from the u.s. is good. it is great. reporter: does it make you proud?
