Sharp differences have emerged between the two countries over a $6.8 billion railway line project which is part of the ambitious China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), according to a report in Nikkei Asia. The impasse has even led to an indefinite delay in the annual bilateral CPEC summit, claimed the report. This is not the first that CPEC has triggered a strain in the long-standing friendship between the two countries.
