PLANS to keep a Covid-19 testing unit open, a 5G radio base station and upgrading of university accommodation are some of the latest applications put forward in Oxford this week. Testing centre unit: In response to the coronavirus pandemic, the University of Oxford installed two temporary testing units in the city for use by students and staff. The units, known as the Early Alert Service, are located at Radcliffe Observatory Quarter in Woodstock Road and the Old Road campus in Headington. An application has been submitted seeking to approval to extend the temporary planning permission at the Radcliffe Observatory Quarter for a further two years.
