Western Cape Human Settlements MEC Tertius Simmers handed over 212 title deeds to residents of Villiersdorp on Tuesday. "Being in a position to hand over these title deeds to our residents is a truly humbling experience. There is nothing more empowering than seeing residents become fully-fledged homeowners," Simmers said. Among the recipients were elderly beneficiaries, 77-year-old Jan Olivier and 83-year-old Nottie Charlie, who seemed chuffed when Simmers handed them their title deeds.
