Fresh polling has been carried out in over 600 booths across 19 districts of West Bengal following allegations of tampering with ballot boxes and violence that left 15 people dead. The initial voting for the three-tier panchayat elections was declared void, with repolling ordered in 696 booths. This process was held under tight security, with four central forces personnel deployed at each centre, as well as state police.
