CHICO, Calif. - A change in weather conditions is causing new concerns with fighting the Dixie Fire.
The light rainfall on Monday night did not have a huge impact on the fire as most of it dissipated before it hit the ground, but still helped in other ways for the fire fight.
"Obviously it is great for our fire personnel that are out on the line," said Captain Sergio Arellano from the San Jose Fire Department. "Once the temperature is cooler they are able to gain more ground, and they are able to work a little easier because it is not as hot. It is not as taxing on the body."
