Weather advisory ends in SE Michigan but snow in Monday's forecast
After 1-3 inches of snow fell in Wayne, Lenawee, Washtenaw and Monroe counties Saturday into Sunday, a winter weather advisory for parts of Metro Detroit expired at noon.
Parts of southeast Michigan remain under a hazardous weather outlook with up to an inch more of additional snow accumulation expected Sunday.
"The bulk of the event is pretty much over. So we're just going to have occasional light snow or flurries throughout the day with little additional accumulation," said National Weather Service meteorologist Steven Freitag.
Most of the snow fell Sunday morning, as pockets of heavier snow moved in from Indiana. Oakland and Macomb Counties were not included in the advisory since both areas received low snow accumulation.
